I love how both rooms have a color theme, Willie's touches of red from the carpets to the plaid chair to the guitars hanging on the wall to the desktop. Looks serendipitous and yet very coordinated. And then Sarah's blues are so pretty against the white, although I admit as an artist I expected her use of color to be planned. Great job you two + Jack!

Both of your studios turned out great! I love the bright colors and those rugs, Willie! Wow. They are amazing. Jack’s dog bed is pretty and I agree, you SHOULD get him a buddy! You could rescue a senior dog and some kitty cats for the property and build them all a little house (when you build your chicken coop). 😊❤ Sarah and Willie, maybe you guys can bake your own puppy biscuits? They are pretty easy with carrots, sweet potatoes, oats and peanut butter. You don’t even have to cook them but there are plenty of recipes out there that you can bake. Who knows, maybe you can sell those, too? Overall, you two are inspiring. I think couples like you will do well in marriage because you have your separate spaces and are both allowed to express your own styles. Ideas to generate wealth on your property: Plant wildflowers and dry and sell them or use them for cooking and baking and maybe even selling to local restaurants. Plant other herbs (such as medicinals, like nettle, milk thistle (this is great for natural bird feed and butterflies), dandelion, echinacea, etc. garlic, onions, burdock root, etc.) Start a worm or worm cast farm Grow your own mushrooms and dry them, as well. Keep chickens or other fowl (maybe quail) for eggs to sell/trade Build another building and let others come and stay like a B & B Become apiarists and use/sell honey and bee products Whatever you do, I’m sure you’ll be successful at it. I love how the fish boxes washed up will be utilised and how the door desk is in Willie's studio, deffo the right decision there! Love the beachcombed stuff being re-used. Hola, from Mexico ! Something that most people never think to do...is hang small-ish oriental rugs on walls !! They become instant "tapestries" ! and look amazing !!! I've done it and people are always amazed by how truly terrific and "exotic" they look up on walls. So never worry about having too many little rugs !

I was yelling at the screen for you to do that...I guess you heard me. 😂 I love repurposing things like that. I think Jack deserves his ginormous bed. Love what you have done and achieved. It doesn't just give you a music and an art studio but must really free up space in the cottage too! I love Jack Spaniels new bed. You won't regret buying that size. As Jack gets older it will give him the space to really get comfortable. I bought a small two seater low sofa from a charity shop for £15 for my Springer George. He loved being able to really stretch out! Congrats again on all you have achieved so far 😀

Sarah - You need a bespoke large desk made from wall to wall with your drawers & file cabinets underneath it. A sleeker less cluttered look and easy to make with plywood or boards or an old door! Also wouldn’t it be so beautiful to display a few of your bottles in a window so the light can shine through the glass?
I enjoy that Sarah is very simple with her space, but has everything around her she has enjoyed through the years. Her love of art and nature shows in every color she has chosen for her office. It all adds up to something spectacular she will be doing in her near future! Bravo Sarah….. I also enjoy the way Willie has managed his studio, it handsomely shows off his ability to be rustic with a tinge of humor. His personality is all around him starting with his instruments and his taste for music. The wild colors of red shows he is not afraid to stand out in a crowd keeping them entertained at all costs. The beauty of his pictures hanging shows the love he has for his wife, Jack, friends and family. Bravo to you Willie for being the talented artist that you have become. So, a tip for your voice overs; Buy a storage cube and add some acoustic foam inside, on 4 sides put your mic in and speak into it. It’s called a studio in a box, voilà! I hope this helps. Everything looks so nice and cozy. 😊
I think, like you Sarah, that you can not be sure where to put stuff, until you start putting the stuff in the place! I do not think you are indecisive. I just think you know when something is right, and it just takes a little time to get there, but that you get there in the end, and that is all good. The Byre has turned out well and I think Sarah should put a screen door on the byre door for mosquitos etc so she can also leave the door open in the summer and have the screen shut so she can have fresh air. You've made yourself two beautiful worlds in the Byre shows both your characters. You will feel better now, your home will be your home and your work place your work place it is important to separate the two. Have a great day.
Agreed, a screen would be a necessity for me. A standard screen door wouldn’t work for their door, HOWEVER, they make screen doors that are retractable now - they roll up into the side frame in much the same way as a window shade rolls up, then you pull it across when you want it closed (has a magnet closure) - a brilliant invention & would work *perfectly* for their situation!
Well done on the completion of your studios. Although they are very different they are both cosy and decorated beautifully. I also love going on adventures with you both, and thankyou for showing us all how to take care of our beautiful world. Dear LTSL couple and Jack. 👍👌👏 Hooray 🙌 it's done! It was sooo nice to see all 3 of you sooo happy. The blue big Tyrannosaurus Spaniex bed looks very comfy. It's almost as big as a guest bed. 😁 ;-) 2) Please kindly allow me to suggest something: I think your funny "Shabby Road Studio" sign should be on the white side of the old door. With the words "Entrance to the" written over it of course. Additionally you "absolutely need" such a red warning light that is common in music studios and lights up when recording happens. "Recording, please keep quiet!" 3) I'm pretty astounded how well the carpets/rugs and the hessian bags dampen the sound/noise. 4) You built a really nice work bench respectively recording/editing table. I love to see when material/ stuff is recycled/reused. By the way: The little white cabinet looks great as a camouflage for the electric breakers. Loving the Byre! What a transformation....tons of hard graft and you can see the results! Perfect reuse of the old byre door. Those rugs are gorgeous...score! A lovely wingback in which to sit and ponder. Jack Spaniels will make good use of that dog bed. He'll be able to fit a good piece of wood in there, and still have room to snooze. Love all the touches in Sarah's section of the byre too. Reusing that medicine cabinet was also a neat way to cover the fuse box. Hugs to all from Canada 🇨🇦

Congratulations on your new studio spaces. You’ve done a brilliant job converting the Byre. It was great to see it finished last week but there is real joy in then getting your stuff in and making it your own. It'll be great to have the cottage as your relaxing space rather than as workspace. Now you really are home!

The Byre has turned out well and I think Sarah should put a screen door on the byre door for mosquitos etc so she can also leave the door open in the summer and have the screen shut so she can have fresh air. You've made yourself two beautiful worlds in the Byre shows both your characters. You will feel better now, your home will be your home and your work place your work place it is important to separate the two. Have a great day.
Agreed, a screen would be a necessity for me. A standard screen door wouldn’t work for their door, HOWEVER, they make screen doors that are retractable now - they roll up into the side frame in much the same way as a window shade rolls up, then you pull it across when you want it closed (has a magnet closure) - a brilliant invention & would work *perfectly* for their situation!
Well done on the completion of your studios. Although they are very different they are both cosy and decorated beautifully. I also love going on adventures with you both, and thankyou for showing us all how to take care of our beautiful world. I honestly don't think I would get much work done in your room Sarah, I would probably be looking out at that beautiful view. Looking forward to more videos and seeing Willy cooking. ❤
Wow what a lot of hard work you did to get to this moment! No one is more deserving of this wonderful adventure than you three. When I was a kid I always ate what I liked the most, last on my plate and it is the same with your videos. I savor them and watch them at just the right time. 👍👌👏 Hooray 🙌 it's done! It was sooo nice to see all 3 of you sooo happy. The blue big Tyrannosaurus Spaniex bed looks very comfy. It's almost as big as a guest bed. 😁 ;-)

"Shabby Road Studio" sign should be on the white side of the old door.
With the words "Entrance to the" written over it of course.
Additionally you "absolutely need" such a red warning light that is common in music studios and lights up when recording happens. "Recording, please keep quiet!"
3) I'm pretty astounded how well the carpets/rugs and the hessian bags dampen the sound/noise.
4) You built a really nice work bench respectively recording/editing table. I love to see when material/ stuff is recycled/reused. By the way: The little white cabinet looks great as a camouflage for the electric breakers.

Loving the Byre! What a transformation....tons of hard graft and you can see the results! Perfect reuse of the old byre door. Those rugs are gorgeous...score! A lovely wingback in which to sit and ponder. Jack Spaniels will make good use of that dog bed. He'll be able to fit a good piece of wood in there, and still have room to snooze. Love all the touches in Sarah's section of the byre too. Reusing that medicine cabinet was also a neat way to cover the fuse box. Hugs to all from Canada 🇨🇦
Great job on the cottage! The red 'door desk' goes well in the music room, it has that rustic vibe. ❤ the bottle collection as well, the cobalt glass is my favourite.

Soooo good to see you finally installed in the byre. The drum kit made me smile: our boys got a second hand kit in their teens, were quickly relegated to the shed, and started Shed Productions 😂. Have fun folks. You’ve earned it!
