I’ve been interested in watching this series, looking forward to coming back to this vid when I get around to it. If this video is anything like your others, it will be an informative and enjoyable watch. Keep up the good work Mana.
A question if I may. Were the relationship between Lisa and Dracula delivered through a text crawl or a similar obviously and purely expository tool would you still maintain your criticism of its execution. The main point I got is that it was rushed, direct and shallow all of which I would forgive in obvious 'this is how things are before the plot starts' segments
Ive only watched the video for 19 seconds, but i already now that its gonna be good. Edit: im at 23 minutes and 12 seconds, it was good, just as i had predicted. Edit 2: im at 23 minutes and 13 seconds, the final second did not change my prediction. The video is good.
hell yeah man, no idea you cared for my beloved Castlevania this animated series means much more of what i could ever possibly even begging to describe i know there's certain aspects and retcon that did bothered me but it is truly materful and very well writing also huge fan of it's Art style i till truly cannot believe that this series exist to start with Trevor Belmont, Sypha, Alucard and Dracula were portrayed with PERFECTION and that is the main why it is a masterpiece take on one of my personal dearest Castlevania titles of all times Castlevania III Dracula's cure now about Hector, i was very happy to see him appear for the first time alway thought he was a super underrated Castlevanian hero and i was totally fine with his intellectual portrayal since he was always depicted to be a very intelligent person but sadly he is way much more badass in his original game CV Curse of darkness we never got to see him unleashing his true Fighter form not like they did with isaac which both are suppose to have that same level of dangerous power but that is part of the problems that i had with the series is truly as if they switch roles between Hector and isaac just hope they will see the potential for continuing the story proper and basically do the Curse of darkness timeline is only way that many aspect regarding Hector' arc could be redeemed and work out for the better
If they do continue the storyline, it'll more than likely be under a different showrunner. Which im not totally against since Warren Ellis' dialogue wasn't exactly the greatest. But I would like to see Hector fleshed out further since he was one of my favorite characters from season 2, only for them to turn him into a gullible moron in season 3, and slightly redeemed him in season 4
Great video you did really well showing both the strengths and weakness of seasons 1&2 in only 20 minutes. Amazing work, keep making Good Rat! Also I can't wait to hear you dissect the F%K out seasons 3&4! The castle sedge... you know soming is stupid when you have to force your brain to stop noticing the problems so don't get More annoyed at the show!
Perhaps the show isn't for you. It was made for fans of the games. If you can't deal with the how the plot works in the show (which is very similar to the first 2 or 3 games) then find another. Stop bitching about a show that wasn't made for you.
@@MediaMana No, you can't because you have no context. Without context then you are just complaining and no one likes people that complain for no reason.
@@joshstephens413 1) I didn’t say I had zero context. I just said Ive only played a couple of the games in the series. And even still someone who has never played the games can review a show based on how well it’s written. And 2) I quite literally said I like the first two seasons of Castlevania. How am I complaining???
I adore seasons 1&2, 3&4 not so much. The latter feel less like there's any connective tissue and instead filler that just happens to end with everything happening in the same place. Alucard in season 3 is incredibly terrible imo.

This is a well done video!

Castlevania III Dracula's cure
now about Hector, i was very happy to see him appear for the first time
alway thought he was a super underrated Castlevanian hero
and i was totally fine with his intellectual portrayal since he was always depicted to be a very intelligent person
but sadly he is way much more badass in his original game CV Curse of darkness
we never got to see him unleashing his true Fighter form
not like they did with isaac which both are suppose to have that same level of dangerous power
but that is part of the problems that i had with the series
is truly as if they switch roles between Hector and isaac
just hope they will see the potential for continuing the story proper and basically do the Curse of darkness timeline

"I'm admittedly unfamiliar with the Castlevania games." Eh, em, I see...
And?? I can still review the show for being a show 😂
Well , I mean, you can... Okay fine, I won't stop you.

@@MediaMana And yet you had complaints that would have been solved if you had more familiarity with the series by playing the games. Hmm, funny that.
