Carmilla's "What the fuck just happened?" had me dying when I first saw it, her plan up to that point was going perfectly and she was ready to take over leading the vampires of the region and then a mage somewhere else snatches up the dude she was gonna assassinate and a good chunk of her forces I'd be like "The actual fuck?" too. Also Sypha is so ridiculously op for just snatching up the entire castle like that lol.
Sypha actually just saved Carmilla's ass. Had she invaded the castle, the only result would have been her whole army being decimated by Dracula and her guts being splattered on the floor of the throne room.

Season 3's Sypha and Trevor plotline was meh, and I wasn't the biggest fan of alucard's line, but Isaac's was a masterpiece and Hector's was pretty good. Dialogue remained consistently good, as it always is in this show, and that makes up for a lot. Season 4 wasn't the best in terms of plot, but the dialogue and fight scenes were fucking top tier all around.

All the build up is worth it. This is why I think the prior eps get too much hate. Especially when one one piece flashback can be like 5 eps. And a single kaido fight takes a year in real time to watch weekly. Yet people are hyped and call it peak cause build up and payoff is more important than fast thrills. Fast food vs a well made meal that you wait for. You choose.
