- These couple of months worth of Mechabellum binge have been pretty good for my ranking in the game, as we're facing the rank 89 European player today! 1,813 MMR! That's definitely going to be a tough one.

I've been enthralled by your Mechabellum videos lately and I always look forward to your next upload!
I'm at like 200 MMR and I'm happy. The influx of new players means I'm sometime pitted against someone who has studied the game, made strategies, before even their first game, while I just like to have fun. Still win around 30-35%. Happy with it.

Ever since you stopped playing DotA, we haven't had to deal with an endless stream of vitriol anymore. Not from you, and the game was actually fascinating as well, but the crowd it attracts is abysmal. It's nice again. I do miss the HotS uploads, sometimes, but I love seeing you play all these new games lately.
I know right.. such a shame! Just act better and have fun in DOTA2! We could all be happy if ppl didnt have such bad mindset!

Two things I think could have used improvement in the first game: First, you could have spaced units out more and prevented aoe attacks from being so effective against your forces. Second, placing marksman in the center rather than doubling down on one side means you have to protect it later from chaff attacks, while placing it near one of your towers gives you more tempo on one side and protects it better.

Really been enjoying this content, and found this game through you. Thanks for that, having a blast! Just one quick thought - in other games you always got coaching from high level players, which also made for very interesting and educational content. Is this a thought here, too, maybe? I think somebody like RoosterPB would make for a great collab.
High mmr player here. 7:45 you should have enhanced the middle Marksman and sold it then put them on the tarantulas slowly selling them too.
The 13:00 Oil was a complete waste. You killed 2 packs of chaff which were not doing much and would have run into your units anyway. Better to Oil the left side to slow down the balls.
You got the easy win cos of the mass scorp and fire badger cards which countered hiim hard but Jimmy was too short sighted and didn't deviate from the standard ball push when you got them. You did play well though and deserved the win, just adding a bit more commentary.

Steelballs are the natural enemies for Tarantulas; with Range tech they would have melted them (and for the lvl2 one you could also buy one ball with lvl2);
anyway, interesting match, fun to watch!

Callers are really hard to counter if used judiciously. The EMP upgrade demolishes a lot of strategies.
The range on those Sledges was nuts

Seems like the solution for a lot of board states unfortunately, you don’t even have to level them. It takes so much more investment to try and slow them down, let alone stop them, than the storms cost on their own

Stopped playing until they fix the Tarantula. It's ridiculous, you either get it or counter with storms, otherwise you lose.
Marksman, melting point, phoenix, fortress... steel balls work too it's just that he started with a rank 2 and Grubby never pays for ranked up units. He had two rank 1 units against two rank 1 and a rank 2. One rank 2 unit has double the stats and makes a huge difference. Scorpions are probably the easiest to counter with.
Tarantulas are actually kind of mid but they are versatile and tank a lot of hits which makes them a useful center piece for the army. If the only way you can figure out how to punch through the enemy's wall is stormcallers then you need to change your tactics and formations. I highly recommend scorpions as an alternative to stormcallers because I think spider tanks are much much cooler.
The second guy just had to put shield on fangs and antiground wasps and you were toasted, he played horribly those 3 last rounds.
hehe, yeah, I also wondered about range on fangs; either go for shields on fangs, or you need another type of unit with shields which protect the fangs...

Im so bad at this game that I cant get over 600 MMR constantly. But Im still having fun. Isnt that ridiculous?
well played but currently the game punishes agression and always standard/defense is kinda meh
if incendiary bomb isnt a good option, why not skip and go into double shield?
Thought same. Probably smarter play given how he was clumping his army. A missile card would have been really problematic for him. Even the sentries were getting loads of value early on.

What do you mean by Europe? 501 is not Europe. 501 is all English people, so many from US also. 301 is mostly german, 401 russian, 101 has also 70% europeans. Really confusing click bait title. Still cool man :) great games. You are always fun to watch!
