Hi Yowana, I just wanted to say thank you. I have been struggling with my mental health lately due to personal circumstances. I found your channel a few weeks ago, and you have really inspired me to take running more seriously, which has been helping both physically and mentally. I watch/listen to your videos in the morning before work to get me motivated for the day and usually listen to the second half as a podcast in the gym. I have never run more than 5km before October and I just ran 13km today and feeling better shape than ever (I got the Adidas SL2s because you recommended them so highly and I love them - unfortunately I am not in the US so could not use your Running Warehouse link). Shout out to you and shout out to me for putting in work. I wish all the best to you, your family and your channel. Please keep this format and don't change it as you inevitably grow bigger.
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm sorry to hear about the personal circumstances - but I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying the channel and I can be part of your journey 💪🏽
Man I have to say that I got my Zoom Fly 6's in the mail yesterday and did my first run in them today. This is my first time ever running in a plated shoe so I have nothing else to compare them to. I absolutely loved the feel and ride. I did a five mile interval workout, probably not the best choice for a first run in plated shoes, but I loved them at all paces. Warm-up, cool down, and all the intervals in between. Nike shoes just always seem to fit my feet well and work for me. Most of my running this year has been in the Invincible 3 so I got the Zoom Fly's for tempo and threshold days. Definitely the nicest pair of shoes I have ever owned. I will say that about the 4.5 mile mark my forefoot on both feet started to get tired and sore. I imagine this is because this was my first time running in plated shoes. Anyway, it just shows that everyone is different and has different experiences in shoes. I like your content and respect your opinion and will keep watching. Keep up the work man.
Glad to hear you enjoyed them on the first run! And sorry to hear they made your forefeet sore - happened to me as well and that definitely doesn't happen with every plated shoe. Hopefully they break in and for you and feel better for those long miles 🙌🏽
Great honest review as always, I used the MS4 and always loved them as a training tool. So many one run, 5k reviewers out there praising the the ZF6 it’s refreshing to have someone out there putting in the work for us.
Im interested to see how my long run in the ZF6 goes this weekend but my first run in the shoe was honestly the exact opposite of your experience. The Puma DN2 feels way firmer to me and I can honestly barely tell that the Nikes even have a plate. It is just interesting how differently people can experience the same shoe.
Puma DN2 is my favorite have 3 pairs and ZF6 very comfortable shoes, I found the dn2 actually great training partner for vf3 and this zf6 will be for my af3s.
As a 35yo 6’ 165lb midfoot striking 2:54:42 marathon runner, I have to disagree almost completely with your video besides the upper and which shoe is better. Magic Speed 4 is probably my favorite shoe all time so the Nike wasn’t going to beat it. However, after a speed session and daily training session in the books with the zoomfly 6 it’s one of the best shoes of the year for me. I typically struggle to maintain hard efforts on speed days but these shoes made it feel somewhat easier. The AlphaFly 3 is my race day shoe of choice and I think it’s a perfect training companion to it. I also love the superblast 2 and mizuno neo vista. I think if the superblast 2 works for someone, the zoom fly 6 will as well. Very comfortable, especially in the FOREFOOT 🤣! Still love the videos even if I disagree with most of your shoe opinions, keep up the grind!
exaactly the same for me, I have the magic speed 4 and the zoom fly 6. I think the zoom fly 6 is a light alphalfy version for me. what an incredible awesome shoe.
yep this is the most comfortable shoe I have ever bought, come on nike roll out the new colorways I only roll puma deviate nitro 2's x3pairs and this zf6 and nike vf and af3s, after trying supershoes/training shoes from other major brands.
@@metalsadman So if I understood well, you love the DN2 (as do I) and you also love the ZF6? If so could you please elaborate on how the feel compares?
Ran in magic speed 4 last week for the first time and ran a 5k pb. Can't wait to do enother speed run in them...for now back to the long runs in the nimbus 26....
I'm going to do my first marathon in march too! I've been looking for a racing shoe, probably going with either one of magic speed 4, endorphin speed 4, boston 12, or the puma deviate nitro 3
I have raced my first HM in the magic speed 4, in the pouring rain, and comfort + grip were amazing. Not sure if the stability at the ankle would support for the whole marathon distance though
Nimbus26 & MagicSpeed4 are shoes I’ve been enjoying & I recently achieved PB time in 11k Traverse as part of the Auckland Marathon a time of 46.25 in MSpeed😅
It's incredible how contrasting and negative your thoughts are on the Zoom Fly 6 after all the very positive reviews I see everywhere else on every platform
Old school watcher of your channel and signed onto the app the day you announced it. First Half is in March like someone in the comments as well. Love the shift towards more training related topics but still blending in shoe content. Would you be open to doing a video on cold weather running? Like how you layer and what foams/shoes will handle the cold temps the best? Take care
I loved the Vomero but unfortunately this feels super different. The forefoot ground feel works in a daily trainer like that but the plate in the zoom fly just makes it harsh 😕
My planning in my mind either use Superblast or Magic Speed 4 for December 2024 Half Marathon and have decide yet, however I may give a try to wear Magic Speed 4 for HM
Just got the ZF6 and also own the Magic Speed 4. Early on with both shoes and ran for the first time on the ZF6 yesterday and initial thoughts are it was this feels almost like the Magic Speed 4, except you get more energy return and bounce from the Magic Speeds. So when I saw this thumbnail comparison I was like "you read my mind" on wanting to see a comparison. 🤙 🏃♂️
If the internet is right, Kipchoge weighs about 115 pounds. I suppose the zoomfly6 might feel very different to him. Thanks for taking the punishment for us so we can get a shoe that's better for us.
Thanks for this comparison!!! I have a question, for tempo and speed sessions what shoe will you pick between the asics magic speed 4 and the brooks hyperion max 2?
The Zoomfly 6 looks in my mind like a fusion of the Vapofly 3 and the Alphafly 3 😄 From the back to the middle looks like the Alphafly 3 and from the middle to the peak of the tow box it looks strongly like the Vaporfly 3 to me 😂 I have to get used to it 😁👍 But fire non or less 🔥💪😊
As a very casual Hobby Jogger, I'm hoping the EVO SL will be a good daily trainer with a little ability to pick up the pace. Both of the foams in these shoes seem pretty underwhelming.
Yo! Greetings from Boston! 👋🏿 do you have a video covering a list of books you recommend on training. Running 3 marathons next year. Would love to get more insight on what I could do to maximize my training
Hmm, thx! 3 weeks ago I did a marathon on nike vaporfly 3, results into pb, and I'm already 54. .😊. Seen your feedback I need to go for Asics for this kind of shoes. Greetings from NL (holland)
I only have one run in the cloudboom zone but I loved it. The foam is super bouncy and feels more like a streamlined racing shoe than a training shoe like the zoom fly. I need more miles in it but I'd personally take the cloudboom zone over the zoom fly everyday
LOL! Charles FTW delivering the ID mid-run. My "homeowner" made me vote early, standing in line for at least an hour on tired legs BTW. I coulda' put in a run to the polling station yesterday with an in & out easy peezy 🤷🏼♂️.
@ Im going to agree with you.. Ima give them 7/10.. energy return is def there but idk i feel slow in them.. I only put 3 miles in them so lets see how they break in. Nothin special tho.. lol
It’s super weird, I don’t really enjoy wearing the zoom fly 5s. They feel heavy and clunky. They are not comfortable. But holy, I’ve had some of my best track workout with them? So I just deal with it. Hard to complain when I’m seeing good results.
I had to send my Zoom Fly 6's back. It felt comfortable under foot and on top of my foot, but there was something in the heel that felt like it was poking my foot and felt uncomfortable. I wasn't sure if it would go ok, but given my somewhat poor history with Nikes, I decided to send it back.

It’s funny I was just thinking if you were gonna come out with another Magic Speed 4 video especially since you loved it after the break-in period!

💯💯💯
Next time I'll vote during my next run wearing magicspeeds. Inspiration.
First Marathon in March. Doing all my training so far in Novabast 4, going to pick up the Magic Speed 4 as my first carbon plated shoe I think
Probably a solid shoe for racing too

I appreciate the day 1 support and remember! 🫡 yes for sure I'll make a video on that / include in a training video
1 minute in and I've heard the phrase Glizzy Max far more times than i should for probably an entire lifetime 🤣
How does the Magic Speed 4 compare to the Hoka Mach X2? Deciding between these two for my tempo and speed workouts
Stack height in the MS4 makes the MS3 look like a completely different brand
first half marathon in march 2025. Always watch your video during lunch and dinner time. you always make my day👍
That's awesome to hear! And congrats on taking the plunge to your first half marathon 💪🏽
Ayyy good luck! I am doing my first one in April 2025!
As a forefoot striker the zoom fly 6 feels utterly amazing on foot easily BEST plated trainer
I thought you only ran in Nike bro - how do you know it's the best? 😂
Disappointed to hear about that forefoot in the ZF6. Was hoping for something like a Vomero 17 with a plate to make it pop based on the construction.
I loved the Vomero but unfortunately this feels super different. The forefoot ground feel works in a daily trainer like that but the plate in the zoom fly just makes it harsh 😕

Can't wait to try that one. Adidas has great foams so it should be awesome
May you do a workout with the Puma DN3? Need your thoughts on those.🙏🙏🙏

If we were to compare the Nike Zoom Fly 6 with the Cloudboom Zone, which one would be better?
I only have one run in the cloudboom zone but I loved it. The foam is super bouncy and feels more like a streamlined racing shoe than a training shoe like the zoom fly. I need more miles in it but I'd personally take the cloudboom zone over the zoom fly everyday
we needed this comparison review !
Do you think Zoom fly 6 is good for heel striker(aka no pain on the forefoot due to the plate)?

Only review bashing the ZF6, but I believe it tho.. lol And mine arrived today! Havent gone for a run in them yet.. 😬
Let me know how you like them!
@ Im going to agree with you.. Ima give them 7/10.. energy return is def there but idk i feel slow in them.. I only put 3 miles in them so lets see how they break in. Nothin special tho.. lol
Is the forefoot feel of the Zoomfly 6 similar to the Vaporfly 3?
Yowana, for speed training, will you choose the Cloudboom Zone over the Asics Magic Speed 4?
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD THE ZOOM FLY UPPER IS
Upper is awesome. And unfortunately best part of the shoe by miles 😂
