Here, we are witnessing the start of a wonderful foam-flinging brand, Dart Zone.
It's Dart Zone or nothing! HAHA
Cool fact. The dart storm mag drum for the chain is actually called a nutsack. For belt fed real machine guns like a SAW, the bottom belt pouch is commonly called a nutsack.
That fact has enriched my life immensely.

Nutsacks are soft, the dart storm is more so a saddle/dual can set up. With cans being common slang for the mg34/42 set up that's similar or for larger crew served weapons.... where usually it's a literal ammo can instead
The fact that the Light Command has a completely seperate power source for lights is honestly something I wish every blaster with lights, sounds, and otherwise useless moving parts had.
Looking at you, Nerf Rival Overwatch Soldier 76 Blaster...

Making me think of using individual power cells of some sort in the chain to explain a belt fed laser gun, for that matter. Dumb, yes, but it might allow a pulse laser to skip charging cycles and thus achieve a higher fire rate, without needing electronics to switch between cells.

I’m fairly certain that even though the hoppers on the dart storm do fit on both sides, they’re supposed to be used like the MG15 where the belt just drops off of the side and the hoppers are used as magazines.

Recommendation for coop : go into the store on multiple days and buy one of each blaster on each day to avoid getting a lemon it may be the whole batch so this reduces the risk

The only way for the DartZone Light Command to look coherent (SciFi vs chain belt) is with a dieselpunk paintjob, I think.
It should be a relatively easy mod to replace that "button" with an actual button, making a rev switch.
Also, the Magnum has slam-fire too!
If I ever were to get the Dartstorm, I'm only using one of the large drums as i would prefer a rhombus shaped M249 style box.
Get the dart storm one, Supe up the Belt feeder motor and mod a bigger hand grip and ammo box, get the "button" To power the flywheels reck house
