I think the best mag would be the flip mag(not featured), this is because it is easy to reload and easy to carry. For the people who to move a lot and use lots of ammo, (Zombie modes. This is easily accessible and straight forward to use. The only thing that’s bad about this mag is that sometimes the darts fall out of the mag not being used. As long as the darts aren’t mushed it should work fine
Another thing to consider, if you're playing in a place where you trust the people you're playing with and you can just drop mags when they're empty, might be more effective to start with a drum in the blaster and then carry stick mags in your gear.

That 25 round drum is clutch. It holds a lot of darts yet it's small enough to carry 2 on your side while you have another in your blaster for a total of 75 darts. Add that with 2 extra 12 round mags on your other side for a grand total of 99 rounds without sacrificing movement of your body. That's my setup for my Icon Stampede. Absolute domination on the battlefield!

My new loadout (becouse my friend somehow managed to brake plunger rotation mechanism in my Turbo Advance): 97cm long PVC pipe (that counts as melee) with a thicker part at one end so it has better range and pockets and hand full of darts (doubeled my K/D ratio in less than 4h)
Coop really talks highly about the nemesis, I have a Nemesis (actually 2) and a Prometheus and the Prometheus is a lot better and could easily fit 250 balls inside and I even got ups to 302 balls to fit comfortably in that massive hopper.
I'd say that the gun impacts it a lot. For a semi-auto, 10 round mags are probably the best, whereas for full auto 18 round mags might be the best. I probably wouldn't use the 35 drum mag though; it's just way too big.

Nvxlxch it really depends on the size of the blaster. If it’s the size of a strong arm, rapidstrike, and anything smaller, it makes you look totally physically disabled, but if it’s like a mastodon or a titan cs-50, it’s easier

I'm trying to improve my gear, but I don't have that much money, so I'm thinking of buying like 3 12 round mags, and then a bunch of darts, so i can have 3 mags preloaded if i need to shoot somebody, and then go to a save spot and reload the mags. Btw I run an Alpha Trooper (or Retaliator, depends on what I want to use that day), a Hammershot and a Jolt. Only the Alpha Trooper and the Retaliator are modified, and it's just the basic AR removal. So, is the idea of having 3 mags and a bunch of darts a good one?

i think the manliness of Dwayne Johnson either increased or decreased depending on who you are....
I'd say that the gun impacts it a lot. For a semi-auto, 10 round mags are probably the best, whereas for full auto 18 round mags might be the best. I probably wouldn't use the 35 drum mag though; it's just way too big.

Nvxlxch it really depends on the size of the blaster. If it’s the size of a strong arm, rapidstrike, and anything smaller, it makes you look totally physically disabled, but if it’s like a mastodon or a titan cs-50, it’s easier

I'm trying to improve my gear, but I don't have that much money, so I'm thinking of buying like 3 12 round mags, and then a bunch of darts, so i can have 3 mags preloaded if i need to shoot somebody, and then go to a save spot and reload the mags. Btw I run an Alpha Trooper (or Retaliator, depends on what I want to use that day), a Hammershot and a Jolt. Only the Alpha Trooper and the Retaliator are modified, and it's just the basic AR removal.
So, is the idea of having 3 mags and a bunch of darts a good one?
