@@F1rstgt they did get arrested on site, but we're released pretty quickly. But that's what they wanted, for the video. Also person above you saying "how old were you?": 30s, we are in our 30s.
BTW, okay, all in one day they had Justin Timberlake at the Staples Center, the Gay Pride Parade, and the BET Awards at the Kodak Theatre? ...MAN, that must've been a crazy day in Los Angeles.
Alien Ant Farm was pretty popular back in early 2000. If people did not know them by name they knew them because of the Smooth Criminal remix. I watched the red carpet for the BET awards. People knew who they were.
"We thought it would be funny to just go down the parade on a float, appreciating diversity and jamming on our instruments," Corso said Dang these guys are awesome, great musicians too:)
I got to hang out with these guys after their show here in Charlotte last Friday. They were all extremely cool and a total class act. They're working on a new album that will hopefully be out be summer 2010.
it's not too far from that in my area now a days actually, although I'm in Tx. $1.90-2.05 on the high end, saw it at about 1.70ish about a year or so ago too. I definitely don't miss those 5 dollar a gallon days...if I had my truck back then it would have sat 99% of the time or I would have sold it asap lol.
I remember when gas was 79.9 cents a gallon. in '95 gas was only 97.9 a gallon. wasn't until 3 years later that it hit 2.00 and we freaked out then! lol
As said their intentions were not to crash it just play the song, the media took it way out of context and there was no reason for them to be arrested.
These guys are really talented musicians you should really pick up some of their albums if you haven't already. I love them an I really hope they'll drop a new album these days!
Obviously you've not heard of the Sex Pistols sailing down the Thames singing God Save The Queen during the Queen's Silver Jubilee, or Fear getting banned from SNL, countless bands such as Nirvana fucking around with their instruments in protest of having to mime to a backing track for TV performances, or umpteen other bands trolling long before this video.
If you listen to the song, it's optimistic and happy- if anything, by crashing these organized events they're showing support for them, in a somewhat selfish but good-natured publicity stunt. This music isn't hurting anyone- it's not harsh on the ears, derogatory, or depressing- it's upbeat and easy on the listener. So there is no need to claim they hate blacks or gays or Justin Timberlake because that's completely unfounded and probably just a cover for the fact that you don't like them.
200 Nails on the head. Their demeanor at these places and the reaction from the crowds is proof enough of these statements. It's very obviously a fun supportive music video where they surprise everyone for a reaction shot. I mean, wedding crashers don't crash weddings because they hate them, they crash them because they love weddings.
that was BEAUTIFUL! bringing real music to the BS... i just read the comments.. they're still around? tell me how to find any AAF between 2001 and now! been outta the loop for a while
I like how the kids at the Timberlake show were just standing there like "WTF?". If that were me I'd be losing my mind...then again I'm a 20 something straight male so I'd just be happy to see guys playing actual instruments. "Oh thank god, guitars! I was so scared for a minute..."
@HOMEnHIGH I think, that I phrased my comment wrong. I didn't mean that if someone was arrested on a petty charge that they'd be locked up for life. I'm smart enough to know better. I'm very familiar with the BET video & was surprised when I saw that the other event crashings were so similar. I respect that you had an intelligent response to my comment. Looking back, I can see how you would think my comment was apalling, because it DOES sound pretty ignorant! I worded it incorrectly! Whoops!
@angelicsorrow420 They only got arrested for the BET crashing, which was the last thing they did. Justin Bieber Concert > Gay Parade > BET Awards. And they did this on the same day i think :)
I was there that day at the BET awards and it was amazing how the fans just went along with it and were rocking out to the music
It’s a great song I’m not surprised. That’s cool you got to experience it live
I’ve always loved this video
How old are you
For real?? so, did they really got arrested at the end?? xd
@@F1rstgt they did get arrested on site, but we're released pretty quickly. But that's what they wanted, for the video. Also person above you saying "how old were you?": 30s, we are in our 30s.
@@F1rstgt yup its all real!
Label: How many events do you want to crash for the video?
AAF: Yes.
*All of them.

Always makes me smile does this video. Everyone should be as awesome as Alien Ant Farm
Still one of their best produced songs.
Did you see those gas prices at 1:41. Was this 1980?

Nope those were the good old days of George W Bush as president. Of course I remember them hitting almost $5 a gallon before drop it back down to $2
I remember when gas was 79.9 cents a gallon. in '95 gas was only 97.9 a gallon. wasn't until 3 years later that it hit 2.00 and we freaked out then! lol

These kind of stunts are what made AAF awesome. Just a bunch of really awesome dudes.

So much message behind all this..too bad most people today can't see or understand it
I like how the kids at the Timberlake show were just standing there like "WTF?". If that were me I'd be losing my mind...then again I'm a 20 something straight male so I'd just be happy to see guys playing actual instruments.
