Yep, most definitely a different time. The World is one screwed up place now, and so many people are severely jacked up in the head now, too. Would give anything to go back to 2002, when things were still normal, and to be 22/23 years old again as well. I really wish this band got more recognition. Amazing albums and they performed them so fucking good live. One of the most underrated bands I’ve ever listened to.
Im honestly surprised how tight they are live. I remember listening to their stuff in high school and thinking there is no way the singer sounds that good live. I was wrong.

This was my 1st concert, got a bus there alone and had to hitchhike back to Brisbane from the Gold Coast at 2am.. Had entrance exams the next morning lol.. Totally worth it

These guys were awesome in the studio and live on stage. It's a shame they didn't get the recognition and fame they deserved, so underrated. Some bands and their luck I guess.

The lead singer of Oleander threatened to end their set over it at a show I saw in 2001. That’s my guess as to what Tye was saying to knock off, anyway.

These Big Day Out shows always got the best performances out of the best bands. This is the best I've ever seen this band perform. That first shot of Dryden running to the crowd the first time on Movies was incredible. Those people were super stoked.

Saw them at Gold Coast that year. Loved that band, they put on an awesome show! Was a bit sad that the crowd didn't appreciate the whole set and just screamed for Smooth Criminal the whole time.

They weren't really new... I saw them quite a few times before they got signed. Tour buss to the record release show to some place in LA. I was crazy drunk. I don't even remember getting back. Great band though and highly talented guys.

this is not the order the set was played.. i was there that day and they played smooth criminal like 3rd song in, i distinctly remember cause i was shocked at how many people turned and walked away after smooth criminal, it went from packed to the brim to a few hundred..

The lead singer of Oleander threatened to end their set over it at a show I saw in 2001. That’s my guess as to what Tye was saying to knock off, anyway.

These Big Day Out shows always got the best performances out of the best bands. This is the best I've ever seen this band perform. That first shot of Dryden running to the crowd the first time on Movies was incredible. Those people were super stoked.

I wonder if it was a mistake for Smooth Criminal to be the lead single. If Movies had come out first they may not have been pidgeon holed as one hit wonders.

They weren't really new... I saw them quite a few times before they got signed. Tour buss to the record release show to some place in LA. I was crazy drunk. I don't even remember getting back. Great band though and highly talented guys.

"Turn ye to our Lord (in repentance) and bow to His (Will), before the Penalty comes on you: after that ye shall not be helped
وَاتَّبِعُوا أَحْسَنَ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ العَذَابُ بَغْتَةً وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ
"And follow the best of (the courses) revealed to you from your Lord, before the Penalty comes on you - of a sudden while ye perceive not
أَن تَقُولَ نَفْسٌ يَا حَسْرَتَى علَى مَا فَرَّطتُ فِي جَنبِ اللَّهِ وَإِن كُنتُ لَمِنَ السَّاخِرِينَ
"Lest the soul should (then) say: 'Ah! Woe is me!- In that I neglected (my duty) towards Allah, and was but among those who mocked
أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ هَدَانِي لَكُنتُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
"Or (lest) it should say: 'If only Allah had guided me, I should certainly have been among the righteous
