OMG I freaking love that line its soo sweet.
This is also a song for me and my ex. I sang it to him after we watched the dvd together one night, making up words. It's so haunting.. and to me is like a dirge, a soft quiet pining for something lost.
I imagine plinking the tune on a little hand-harp, sitting on sea-cliffs, watching and waiting, but knowing he's never coming home. My bonny lad, swept away by the sea and the world...

i love this. the song is amazing and i feel for Davy Jones. she broke his heart, but she still loved him. a woman can do more harm with love, than she can good... even without meaning to. Calypso killed the only thing that Davy Jones had. The greatest love in the world for her.

Just got done watching World's End. SO. FREAKING. ROMANTIC. And tragic.
I really adore the Davy Jones/Calypso story. I'm a terribly hopeless romantic. If I hadn't made it a point to never never never cry in a theater, I seriously would have bawled both in the brig scene and the ending.
This piece perfectly reflects what i see as davy jones' soul is so sad full of hurt and loss but yet thers beauty in there as well. Davy jones is a brilliant representation of Mankind as a whole even though he was dark and evil at times this tune and the memory of tia dalma brought back his soul as it was
poor davy, so filled with sorrow and rage, yet still filled with love, he did the things he did so he wouldn't loss his love. This makes me cry every time, beautiful and sad so true. Hope he comes back.
