11:32. Oh my fucking God, I understand deleting scenes is part of the making of a film. But who thought deleting this was a good idea? It gives you a condensed review of their past. Jack was sailing under the command of Becket. Becket gave him a ship. When Jack sees what Becket was trading for the company, he betrays Becket. Becket hunts Jack and destroys the ship. Jack being in love with the Sea and the ship, makes an unholy pact to Davy Jones; Jones brings back from the Locker the ship, Jack is now captain of the Black Pearl. In two lines of dialogue, you get the past of Becket and Jack, the reason why Jack made the pact to Davy Jones, and the birth of the Black Pearl. Why the fuck would they delete this?
Jack served under Beckett because he saw the pirate his father had become, and chose to not partake in it. But not having to transport slaves was worth getting branded as a pirate. And not far along from Jack becoming captain again, he gets marooned on the rum runners island, shredding any chance of him doing the right thing. The only man who properly stood up for him, Bootstrap Bill, gets strapped to a cannon and tossed to the sea.

It still buffles my mind how did anyone in Disney have never thought about making and extended cut of the trilogy. I think it would be a hit when it comes to DVD sales back then.
A.C. Crispin wrote a prequel to the Pirates movies, "The Price of Freedom," that incorporates a number of things said in these deleted scenes, and also helps explain how Jack came to be a pirate. It's not a perfect book, but it adds a lot of flesh and texture to the people we know in the movies. It also explains Cutler Beckett, and why he turned out the way he did, to the point that I actually felt a degree of sorrow for him.
the comedy scenes, yeah i can agree with them doing removed, some of them not all of them, the dialogue on Jacks past and more of the intrigue of constant switching of who is using who to get ahead, god know they should have stayed in.
bro imagine the governor as the captain of the dutchman. that´s too hilarious, good thing they kept this scene out even tho nighy is stunning even without cgi
There are a lot of scenes I am glad got left on the cutting room floor. But some of them really should have stayed. Obviously the original cut of Becket and Jack as it actually explains the history of Jack being branded, the context of Jack's deal with Jones to raise the Pearl and what actually separates these two as characters, since both of them frequently lie a lot to get what they want and have no trouble breaking deals if it is inconvenient for them to follow through, but Jack sees people as more then numbers on a ledger as Becket put it. Jack values "freedom" above all else and discards anything or anyone who gets in the way of that while Becket wants to flex his power for his own self-gratification. Neither Jack nor Becket are anything close to "good people". Not wanting to be a slave trader does not mean you get some higher moral standing, heck, Jack spits in the face of morals.
“HER” … this all makes sense now. Beckett knew Jack had feelings for Elizabeth so he made his reward for betrayal her. And also why Beckett asked Elizabeth in Deadman’s Chest if she was trying to save Jack… to discern if she felt the same way and he could use their feelings as leverage. But she did not. Also why he said “was it a marriage interrupted or fate intervening?”

If they add some of these scene the movie woulda make more sense
I like how you included scenes with Bill Nighy as Davy Jones as he really looked during filming. All the squid arms were added later as it's CGI. The same with all the other actors with fish " makeup".
It still buffles my mind how did anyone in Disney have never thought about making and extended cut of the trilogy. I think it would be a hit when it comes to DVD sales back then.
Governor scenes were damn good
The Scene with Jones telling Elizabeth was ded and her father trying to stab his heart was AWESOME. Shame it wasnt finished and in the movie.
I feel like alot of these scenes woudl have made the movie a bit better but I overall love how it is ^-^
16:15 the bond between Barbosa and Jack is so hilarious.....
19:05 the jack craziness.....
jack sparrow let slave be free
Lmao the peanut in Becketts cabin 😭
I love Jack and Barbosa's fight over the helm😂
the "it's just good business" quote from beckett now finally makes sense.
Literally most of these scenes were so good
Awesome movie.
All of these clips just make it increasingly obvious that we need an extended cut of POTC (the Gore Vabrinsky trilogy)
At the very beginning, Hector appears so gentle there.
So many good scenes we need a extended cut rerelease
that is one hell of a cold opening
Some of these are in the movie still when I watched it on Disney plus recently
17:34 - even in the theatrical release, this does not fail to make me laugh. Just a simple gag for the sake of comedy, but so effective to me.
the way she says "Da Kanaries...." Freaking chilling man.
the comedy scenes, yeah i can agree with them doing removed, some of them not all of them, the dialogue on Jacks past and more of the intrigue of constant switching of who is using who to get ahead, god know they should have stayed in.
I wish these could be added as an extended edition.
16:08 Captain Hector Barbossa: Really Jack
I personally would have taken that scene out, it shows so much if Barbossa's soft side, he would surely just whip a gun out and point it at Jack
@@nutmeg_treemika6020 I would've left it in. Jack was needed to accomplish the mission, so Barbossa wouldn't have shot him.
16:27 😂They're like little kids and it looks like rush got struck someplace sensitive by mistake
Movie had a great soundtrack/score
This makes this movie a lot more sense now
My favorite movie 🎥
bro imagine the governor as the captain of the dutchman. that´s too hilarious, good thing they kept this scene out even tho nighy is stunning even without cgi
15:48 oh boy this is not going to be pretty Sparrow and Barbossa are in the helm between the rudder wheel

Most of these scenes are on our dvd integrated in the regular movie
“HER” … this all makes sense now. Beckett knew Jack had feelings for Elizabeth so he made his reward for betrayal her. And also why Beckett asked Elizabeth in Deadman’s Chest if she was trying to save Jack… to discern if she felt the same way and he could use their feelings as leverage. But she did not. Also why he said “was it a marriage interrupted or fate intervening?”
It’s sad that the special effects are unfinished and a lot of these scenes. It makes them impossible to put in a fan edit
Literally 20 minutes of Director's Cut.
why always deleted scenes are the best broooo
Why were some of these cut they're amazing
Did Anybody Notice The Clue Of Will's Revival? When Beckett Put That Small Ship Upwrite? Did That Hint That Will Was
Going To Return?
