It’s 2007, I am a young teenage girl trying to find this song that I had heard on the radio. I come to UA-cam and find this video. I watch it over and over just stunned. I think it’s the coolest thing, my whole grade sees it too and we talk about it.
It’s now 2023, I am now a married woman and this pops up on my home page the first time I’ve seen it since a couple years after it came out. Life changes in a blink. Don’t forgot to enjoy it folks.

The creativity mixed with the dedication it took to get the choreography right was just so amazing to teenage me. Now it's a blast to the past, complete with a jelly bracelet and big resin ring, and it's still awesome. To bring back nostalgia, this makes me remember sitting on my mom computer trying to do this with my own hands but I never really could do it
The fact that this is demonetized for copyright reasons is just... the ultimate example of how copyright laws are used to stifle creativity in the name of profit. If this isn't fair use, what is? The song is unaltered, certainly- but the song and the video cannot exist without one another and still make a cohesive impact. It is by definition a transformative work and it should be treated as, and respected as such. For a brief time we had the freedom to create with our hearts and do silly, talented, wonderful things like this just because it's fun. I'm glad this video exists, and that it still exists, and I hope Fr. Eckle studio is doing well, despite all the changes that've come through the years. Thank you for being wonderfully you.

UA-cam is so corporate now. Back when this came out it really was YOUTube. Everything felt organic and user-driven. Now it’s just another TV Channel. Miss those days when UA-cam felt fresh and fun.
