on that list of mine is the time you had to give me a ride home from Greenup County when the football bus left me at the concession stand haha. Or maybe it was Ashland.
this is true... I mean, I really like shooting sports but would love to do either a sports documentary OR almost any genre of short film. I have that long list of ideas and I just need to settle on one :)
Hi Howie. I subscribed because I you told me I wouldn't. So I got here because a little voice in my brain said I should learn about cameras and here you are. I hope I can learn something good from you and your channel. I have no idea what I'm doing lol. Do you have any content that would be helpful to figure out what camera I might wanna buy?
thank you so much! As far as cameras go, there are so many good ones out right now. I'd start with your budget in mind and whichever site you're searching on see if you can filter it by price - low to high or high to low depending on your budget. Myself, I'm partial to Sony Alpha cameras. I was a Nikon guy for 20+ years and made the switch within the last few.
Randomly recommended this video, and I feel that struggle!! Your cinematography is worlds better than mine, earned a sub from me bro!! I could learn from you and improve my own videos, keep going!
Thank you! I've been working with a camera for almost 25 years now so lighting and general camera operation are both things I'm very familiar with... but being ON camera is way different. What would you say are your struggles with cinematography?
@@howiemccormick Honestly, everything. I'm really green to film making. Color correcting is something I struggle with a lot, it either looks too washed or too overly contrasted.
You know what's hard, when you put in the work to make the best content possible, and you know it's better than your peers, and you don't get the return in views especially.... in vlogs!! But, keep working man, it's a long ass road 💯respect 🫡
yeah, it's all about reaching your audience. And "building" a UA-cam community is still new and a bit foreign to me. Up til now, I've just been posting stuff I've put together just to have a platform to host it mainly. But yeah, I just put you a smidge closer to that 1K sub mark.
Keep moving forward. Great job! Continue telling stories bud.
