Wow, I haven't seen this in ages. That's me on guitar, Dennis Edwards on drums, W. Michael Lewis on keys and forgive me but I've forgotten the bass players name...This was 86/87 right around the Classic Superfest Tour in 1987. And yes, we actually played, no lip syncing!!!
He broke off with PR when he tried to launch his solo career. He thought he'd skyrocket to fame on his own, and the truth is a lot of his success goes directly to Paul Revere. And then he tried to sing all the PR&R hits without permission. Those songs weren't his!
Yeah a real disappointment. However it was awesome He was The Raiders. That Clown paul Revere was very very annoying and irritating what a klutz. No musical talent so he had to be a clown
Thanks for the clarification . . . knew it was not 1979 like the caption says. Those are '80s hair styles --- shorter and too well groomed to be '79. Also, Mark Lindsay is about 45 there and looks just like he did when he taped the TV promos for the oldies shows in '87 or '88.
@@thisistheworldtoday Nope. He wasn't part of The Wrecking Crew. He was an actual member of PR&R. Shows how good he was, that they allowed him to record :)

i've always believed groups like these and most AM American bands of the era are not in the Hall because the records were made with studio musicians like the Wrecking Crew.
Not half bad! Sure is dated with those sport jackets with the sleeves pushed up tho...so 80's Was that in order to make it easier to chop coke? Or were they about to clean a mess of fish?!
The problem was Lindsay wanted to sing all the Raider's songs as if they were his. They belonged to Paul. Mark should have only performed his own songs-- or wrote some new hits of his own-- that's the law. This version was weak compared to his performances with the Raiders
The problem? What problem. Most of their hits were written by other writers. Paul co-wrote Steppin' Out with Mark but that's it. Mark co-wrote with Terry Melcher and others on a few songs. Mark was the front man and made the band like Jagger with the Stones or Morrison with Doors. Paul Revere had almost zero talent. He could barely play keyboards as evidenced in later versions of the Raiders where there was a real keyboard player in the band and Paul's s Edsel looking keyboard actually only controlled on stage lighting. As far as the "the law" goes anyone can play their own version of a song as long as the writer or copyright owner is paid royalties. Bottom line is Mark Lindsay made these songs what they were and has every right to play them. He was the Raiders despite the actual band name.

Great performance! Thank you. Nice to see Mark singing live!
Hey Mark T.! You look great! How lucky you were to work with the great Mark Lindsay! All the best 2 u.
@@caroled.7467 Thanks! That was a high point in my career for sure. He's the nicest guy on the planet! We had a lot of fun working together.
@@gigimoore3738 absolutely sis and I saw and met Mark few times. Sis and her hubby took Mark out in Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦
@@jolantarobertson3672 Mark was one of my first crushes, like thousands of others. Been a fan for 50+ yrs!
They should be in the hall of fame
50 years later and he’s still performing these great songs ...
Still in Love with Mark..😍🌹💖😘😎
Lindsay has always been a class act . He’s in his 70’s now and still singing. I miss the old days with the Raiders but I’d bet he does as well.

Just Like Me was one of the greatest songs of that era.
Don't forget the great "Steppin Out"!
Still has the same energy all those years later
Wow I don’t remember seeing this. Still makes my heart skip a beat! No voice like his!❤️
Mark is🤔💕 is awesome
HOF
Congratulations No Lip Sync! This is Good And am saving!🤩
Judging by the way he looks, the clothes, the instruments, i'm gonna say this is closer to 1987.
and simmons drums for toms...
Just like me is such a great great iconic song that it deserves to run its full 2 and 1/2 minutes or more and not be shortened in a medley

The music of my youth... ❤
😍MARK😍
Interesting spin Lindsay put on lyrics: "don't you see no matter what you buy/to fill the emptiness inside ...".
Been watching you since I was 13 now I’m 69 lol crazy
Used to go to Hollywood palace to see you guys good times
Go Mark.....GO!! "Stomp and Shout and work it on out!" ;-)
Wow. How time has flown😢

Congratulations for being a Raider!
Wow
Sometimes Fang sings for the band but nobody could replace Mark Lindsay. He was the Raiders as far as I’m concerned.
Tony Orlando show was in the 80s.
No one could duplicate the Drake Levine double neck guitar solo on "Just Like Me"
FA Barragan was he from wrecking crew? Agree if he played it on record his was the best

@Sam Steinig There was only one Drake Levin , and Phil Volk .
Phil and Drake were awesome muscians...

Hi Mark Are You the close up?
Yup
I'd love to know why this band broke up ? Was it Mark ? Did he really want to go Solo ? Their could have been jealousy
Are paul revere and the raiders in the Hall... If not that is a true travesty.. they should have been a LONg time ago
the hall of fame sucks
