Mark D. Nazaret Just hope so. Now I heard they’re going to SJW the hell out of Mara Jade from the Expanded Universe. Knowing Kennedy’s Bullshit story group.🙄🤦♂️
It's so sad how they just fucked EVERYTHING George did, they've even made Luke seem like he's not even that good. Disney basically said "Leia was supposed to be the Hope, also she's a better swordfighter than him, and he's a hopeless hermit who abandoned all his friends to die so Luke just sucks he's a nobody."
I wish he didn't give it to Disney I don't gave a single fuck if it wouldn't be a new star wars films back then But at least the saga will end in the perfect way and no one will ever fucking dare to change it
Disney should work with George. Consulting everything and use his ideas to develop future new movies. Both would profit, even if Disney gonna get more % I believe box office and ratings would be way different with all fans knowing that George is full time involved.
@Matt S She owns Lucasfilms. She is not just a producer anymore. Both Disney and Kathleen need to approve the script before its turned into a real movie. So yeah, she is the one to blame.
FUCK THAT WOMAN She destroyed what 6 movies has created, a good universe, character, story, the law in the movie itself, she butchered them all in just three movies....
Maybe he should include himself in that category. As the saying goes, what a nifty gifty is given us if we see ourselves as we see others, or vice versa. Lucas sees Disney as white slavers, he himself is known for not having a lot of black actors or stronger women in his SW films. His fears of diversity clashes with his humble sounding wish for all fans to enjoy SW in future. But some of us, while fans, remain traumatized by certain key scenes of violence and torture in his films. TESB: Luke gets his hand dismembered by the evil Lord who just said he's the boy's dad. ROTJ: Luke is electro-shocked by evil sorcery from the Emperor, right after his emotional battle against his father. The scene with Leia in the slave costume, where little kids could bear witness to her sexuality, is an all time low. IE: not everyone enjoys SW. Even a fan like me acknowledges this. Luke himself was right after all: it's time for the Jedi to end. End it now so we can achieve peace in the galaxy!!!
@Ianoodin You haven't had enough education in Hollywood lore. You've never heard talk of Lucas being racist, sexist, etc. Not to mention Lucas is diabetic. Yep, it's true. Do the research. Dig deeper. The truth will out.
I think we forget that he originally started Lucas film so he create moves without corporate interference. It’s sad to see this man’s legacy become corporate husk of what it used to be. We can talk smack about the prequels all we want but it was still his vision.
@@Poet_lynch The people who talk shit about the prequels are just absolute morons. The prequels were awesome, so much better then the pathetic, lifeless pos so called sequels
He used his position of power to get sexual with Cary Fisher. She wasnt a minor, but she was bipolar and very young. And he was the producer and director. He’s probably a genius. But pure? Nope
@@maishadigital8410 Let me guess your source is Reddit or Trustmebro. "everything she said there got flushed down the toilet" from a certain point of view maybe.. But not really. IN Order to keep things feeling new, and fresh, and to avoid millions of dollars in buy outs of old EU books, and comics which came out in under houses that didn't have a deal in place with Disney they retconned the old EU (which most casual fans don't know much about. Anyway..) in order to start with a new timeline and cannon which was more inline with the films, and they are drawing out the best elements from the old EU and putting them in the new cannon. I wouldn't doubt if we get characters like Mara Jade Skywalker along the way at some point. We don't know what Luke has been doing other then training Jedi's maybe he did meet a Mara Jade, and did have a kid or two also in the last 30 years before "The Force Awakens" how about we wait, and find out before we jump the gun? :D
She's clueless... She is conveniently giving politically correct answers. When Lucas goes on his rants, you see her sitting there in utter confusion about any of the deeper meanings.
To the contrary shes is thinking a Lot. She moves her hands nerviously. She feels undepressure because she knows he is talking about Her! Thats why he claps! Like he us saying I knows what are You doing, I knows what You are really saying
And not just his work, but the work of HUNDREDS of game designers, comic book artists and writers, actors, authors, and numerous of people. All flushed down. Truly astounding
This is fiction remember can be bend anyway George Lucas created this into a story he can change it to how he wants people have been killed off but written back in say they didn't really die ..lol I think people get lost in the fantasy of it all but really the theme of star wars the one George created is one of hope no matter how these people have changed it a new hope the empire strikes back return of the Jedi they will always be the heart of star wars like Carrie Fisher Harrison ford mark Hamil Chewbacca r2d2 the gold robot forgot his name and of course little wise old yoda ,the theme to me and what it was as a kid to me is basically there is good and evil in this world the force is the unseen power we all have within us I'm not talking about an ego kind of power but an energy that runs though as all anyway besides the light saber fights I think that's how we connect with Luke Skywalkers character because that is very real.
to be honest they ruined Leia too. She went from a sassy, charismatic lass in the OT with great arc and big potential in EU, to a boring old woman who does nothing interesting or important.
Kathleen Kennedy to Rian Johnson : "you ever hear the tragedy of George Lucas the wise?...I thought not. It's not a story that Disney would tell you...he became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his franchise and eventually of course he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew and then his apprentice killed his franchise. Ironic, he could save himself from hate, but not his franchise!"
After the show: Kathreen Kennedy turns on a dark robe and opens a hologram of Rian Johnson. Kathreen Kennedy: Execute Order 66 Rian Johnson: It will be done, my Lady And then you see all our beloved original characters destroyed and finally killed.
@@fromgentorev215 *That's why she created The Mandalorian - it's her last resort to make sure she milks money from us, so she can continue to make feminist PC Star Wars trilogies.*
The foreshadowing of what happened with the sequels here is uncanny. It feels like George knew she was gonna betray him and do her own thing. But even more is the lies that come out of her mouth right in front of him. She knew what she was doing by gaining his trust and thus betraying him by basically throwing out all the scripts that George had written and turned Luke into a dejected, miserable old man who didn’t give a shit about anyone when he should have been a wise old master that always saw the good in someone and was willing to sacrifice himself to save that someone
Well, the idea was to keep the original legacy alive to give them "legend" status. And you do that by making junk after them to make the originals appear more important.
When I say me that we could have a Dark Maul return with his twi'lek red apprentice leading the underwolrd and Luke recreating the jedi (and not Rey) and Leia trying to do the Republic but this good story was flushed away like the thing were the first order and the rebellion were going to battle on Coruscant
Literally the first words out of Kathleen Kennedys mouth is bullshit lol she says "the main thing is protect these characters (luke, han, leia) and let them continue to live in the way you (george lucas) wrote them" like lmao wtf you did the complete exact opposite
+Spek Blue Hell, no! The Force Awakens is MUCH worse! Rogue One is pretty terrible, too. That being said, TLJ doesn´t come close to any of Lucas` movies.
The original betrayal came from George's director buddies: Ron Howard, Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis. He wanted someone else to direct the prequels and every one of them was afraid to take on the task. He was left alone to direct with nothing but yes men around him and the end result was a bunch of shit talking fans unhappy with the product. 7 years later he sold his baby.
Yes, I feel like his "old friends" wanted to see him fail. Why did Ron Howard refuse to direct the prequels yet he's now doing a botched version of the Han Solo film? Why is Spielberg so keen on doing Indiana Jones 5 while he refused to make the 4th for more than a decade. Spielberg knew Kathleen Kennedy would fuck the franchise yet he did nothing to stop her.
Yea I thought Howard stepping in to direct the Han Solo flick was very strange. I'm sure they're still friends and perhaps he will bring George in to consult on the side.
Abrams fucked it up. The acting was good but the story was wrong. It felt like a cheesey comic movie, filled with one liners. Star Wars is serious with ocassional humor. Yes he made bad rereleases and the Prequels werent perfect, but they did feel like Star Wars and either though execution was bad, episode 3 fits well with episode 4. Its just the character development was rushed and terrible. Episode 7 is a comic copy of the original film. There was no magical moments in the new films, like the original when Luke uses the force to guide him in destroying the Death Star. Instead Rey just masters the force instantly, and Lightsabers are really heavy yet weak. I get it! In the original lightsabers were heavy, and the faster Luke was with a Lightsaber the stronger Jedi he was. However Lightsabers are powerful things in the original, a swipe to Kylo Rens face (in TFA) should have sliced his face in half, not a shitty wound on his face. I never believed I was watching Star Wars when I watched TFA. Thats how bad it was. Atleast I knew it was Star Wars in the prequels. POOR AND UNORIGINAL PLOT NO GROUND BREAKING EFFECTS CLICHE 1 LINERS FELT MORE LIKE A MARVEL COMIC THAN STAR WARS MOVIE
Actually Steven Pielberg was very interested in directing and working on Star Wars. However at time Lucas set to make prequels Steven was tied up in other projects. Now that Disney owns Star Wars he won't ever direct a star wars film. Which sad cause he would make a good film.
Spielberg dragged JJ Abrams to Star Wars when he refused Kathleen Kennedy's offer. Spielberg knows JJ is a hack who does crappy reboots of better films. Spielberg sacrificed Star Wars to push JJ's career.

B E How so? The 3 new Star Wars movies have grossed more than 4 billion dollars worldwide. Audience interest is greater than when the prequels came out. I don't know where this franchise is failing.
Then maybe he shouldn’t have sold the franchise for $4 billion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Dude honestly, he didn’t have to do anything with the franchise. If he REALLY didn’t want anyone else to make changes to his material, then he shouldn’t have sold the rights. No one strong-armed him into it, he was quite willing to request a hefty, multi-billion dollar payment for his stake. The fact that people feel sorry for him for wanting to be a part of the creative process and being butthurt that they didn’t use his ideas after charging them $4 billion? Give me a break. Give me a FUCKING break.
Michael Benedict No one cares about how much money the new movies make. Hype and name brand alone can sell a lot. People are mad cause Disney is driving the universe and story of Star Wars to the ground.
Mr Niz Do you have amnesia? The prequels were bashed by critics and fans enough to where Lucas did not want to make anymore. The box office performance did well but nothing compared to how these new ones are performing. And money absolutely is the driving force of every movie franchise. Why would a franchise stop what they are doing if the formula is bringing in billions of dollars?
It's painful how obvious she isn't there for anything George is saying. She's just letting him talk out of respect, but she's just there for the dollar signs.
The blame rests completely with Disney, they told George anything he wanted to hear just to get him to sign. George Lucas and Mark Hamill were deceived and the fans ultimately betrayed.
You can tell George never really wanted to sell the franchise. He did it because he knew he was getting older and wouldnt be able to give the fans what they wanted. He should have stuck with his gut and went to the grave with his legacy. Would have been much better for the franchise. Disney told him what he wanted to hear and then stabbed him right in the back as soon as his signature was on the contract.
@@brandonevans3267 Have you seen "the people vs george lucas"? People were saying he raped their childhood, other where saying he was worst than a holocaust denier, other saying that he was a disgrace and a horrible human being. They made a movie about how "the real george" was kidnapped and replaced by a "soulless, talentless hack" and that the real george was devastated about what they did to star wars. So many people were assholes that is a miracle the dude stayed with the franchise as long as he did. And he was doing great! The Clone Wars, Underworld (he had 50 scripts ready) and 1313 all sounded awesome! But it seems none of his childrens wanted to run Lucasfilm so he had no "heir" and he wanted to raise his daughter (just like he did all his other children) and knew he had to choose between raising his kid or making the ST himself. I honestly respect the guy, I love the original 6 episodes, but the way "fans" treated him was disgusting.
I dunno about that - I'd say the truly evil ones are the Star Wars fanboy cunts who drove Lucas away from directing and filmmaking. Those dweebs are the real ones to blame for this shit.
"The main thing is protect these characters." Han abandons Leia and their Son, returning to a life of crime, and taking his best friend down with him... Luke does not revive the Jedi order, and becomes a hopeless, cynical old man. Leia completely fails as the leader of the New Republic, and allows an even more psychotic, neo-nazi group to almost immediately overthrow it. Anakin's sacrifice meant nothing. He did not restore balance to the Force. The Emperor did not die, so Anakin did not destroy the Sith, he only killed himself...Etc. etc.
Haha I just noticed something too. George is clearly talking about Kathleen and Disney just before he gives Kathleen that look, then claps his hands abrasively. Just classic.
Wow you can see it , she is lying!!! She's not interested in preserving Georges characters nor the story line...she out to be The Boss and change everything Star Wars is. Total disrespect of iconic characters and story line and to the man who trusted her with his creation. THE DARK SIDE IS SHE!!!!.
I'd say George is an idiot and just didn't want the responsibility but sees how bad it turned out but cant take back yet another dumb decision he made.
It's not just that the characters died. I was kindof expecting that, actually, and in the case of Han, I KNEW he would die, because I knew Harrison F. was done with Star Wars . . . like, in the 80's. It's that the entire original series was just completely undone without a word, and the characters weren't just "subverted" but outright DISGRACED and HUMILIATED. "protect the characters," my ass.
@@aakashsaini2184 He said turn themselves into evil people by not caring about people. I think that may be a better description of Kathleen than 'pure evil', like George says, she thinks she is doing good by forcing post-modern ideas onto people through Star Wars. At 2:17 when George says ' the idea that some of us think we are really great people but we're not...run your life in a selfish way, think you're doing good when you're not.' and Kathleen really doesn't get it (not self-aware enough) by replying 'maybe you're just making bad decisions'. This interview is actually fascinating in hindsight.
I never thought I'd say this but I kind of want George back. Not as director but as producer who oversees things. He shouldn't approve everything and still give them some freedom, but without him, I feel like Disney is going to take SW in a weaker direction. George, for one, would've never allowed this stupid TFA rehash shit. When he left the TFA premiere he just politely said "I liked it" when he said beforehand he was excited to finally see a SW movie without the pressures of being involved. His short, after-premiere response says it all. He privately thought it was a fucking joke and couldn't believe how much they took from ANH.
Are you referring to the terrible Charlie Rose interview, where he attempted to eviscerate George with redirections in the conversation and cold, hard questions, never letting up? You can search for that interview on UA-cam; that's how I found it.
Oh, you want him back now! All because this woman ruined SW for you, now you want him back. The same guy you and the rest of the fans berated, degraded, and hailed on!
Why would you never think you'd say that? Star Wars IS George Lucas. It's all his imagination brought to life by incredible artists and engineers. TFA feels so empty because it was created by a board of directors
Ha!! " The main thing is to protect these characters and continue to grow them as you originally created them". 2 films later, Han and Luke r dead, leia is sadly out of ep9 and for some reason Lando is nowhere to be found. She's such a joke.
"The main thing is to protect these characters, make sure that they still continue to live in the way you created them..." - Kathleen Kennedy TLJ Spoiler: Then Luke tries to kill his padawan because he feels the dark side in him altough he tried absolutely everything to bring the most evil person in the entire galaxy back to the light side (darth vader in episode 6) and then he wants the jedi to end just because he made a mistake himself? Thats not the Luke Skywalker that was created by Lucas, not one bit
You are wrong. He didn’t try “absolutely everything” to bring Vader back to the light side. After discovering Vader was his father, Luke had exactly ONE confrontation with Vader and a very brief conversation where he told Vader he felt there was still good in him, and Vader tells him it’s too late for him (Vader). Luke gives up on Vader at that point and says “Then my father is truly dead.” BOOM. End of fucking conversation. Vader brought Luke before the Emperor, and neither Luke or Vader had any more conversation, other than Vader taunting Luke. Vader only turns when he see’s the Emperor killing Luke and Luke writhing in pain and calling out to Vader. That is Vader’s turning point. Luke didn’t do jack-shit to try to bring Vader back to the light. In fact, Luke gave up on it when Vader told him it was too late. Luke wanting the Jedi to end had only partly to die with Luke’s actual failure with Ben/Kylo. When Luke went seeking the first Jedi temple, he was searching for deeper answers, deeper truths to help him in his path. Luke realized he had a moment of weakness and went searching for deeper meaning and to understand how he failed. What he ends up discovering was that the Jedi veered far off course from what they started out as, and that their arrogance prevented them from seeing what was right in front of them, thus allowing Palpatine to seize control of the galaxy and wipe the Jedi out of existence (almost). Luke also saw that the dogmatic approach to the Force by the Jedi nor the quest for ultimate power of The Sith was the correct path. Luke discovered that the Force is more than the Jedi or Sith understood - that it’s the very fabric of existence. There is no light or dark, there is only The Force. It’s how you use it that matters. That was why Luke felt the Jedi, like the Sith needed to end. However, Luke then comes to the realization that only the Jedi path as it was when they fell needed to end. The Jedi Order needed to go back to its roots, back to being true practitioners of The Force We as fans, cannot expect a character who was 23 when we last saw him on the big screen to be the exact same 30 years later. Nobody is. I like that Rian Johnson showed us that Luke was not perfect and that he was susceptible to failure (just like everyone else). Luke ends his journey and comes full circle and embraces who he is, who he isn’t, and his place within the Force. He does the most noble and heroic thing someone can do and that was sacrificing himself so others could live. He is at peace with himself, and his greater understanding of his place within the Force. This is what allows him to become one with the Force. It was a great arc for Luke, and the perfect sendoff for a legend
“Then my father is truly dead.” - No, snozzlehead92 is NOT wrong. Luke said that in retort, said that to try to wind up and provoke Anakin. And it had the desired effect, according to the long lingering shot as Luke has gone up in the lift and Anakin / Vader looks out of the window. Luke knew what he was doing. When he got to the Emperor, the Emperor says "by now you must know that your father cannot be turned." - Again that's in the script for 3 reasons - 1 it's what the character would say to wind the other character up 2 it's to remind us of Luke's goal and 3 it's to raise that issue of the doubt that must be in Luke's mind. Otherwise, if there were no doubt, it would serve no purpose. It would ruin the scene for anyone who thinks it's not still a goal for Luke to turn his father. Finally, no he didn't just have a conversation with Ben, he's obviously been stewing on this for "about six months" (Lucas c.1983) or whatever period you deem in between 5 and 6, and he is totally peroccupied it through the whole film, telling all and sundry about it. And he goes against the two jedi, he puts himself at risk, he risks involving Leia, for this one goal. ...I think your wider point is that look wasn't such a great hero because his wanting to save Anakin, and the way he did it, wasn't all that impressive, and I can see how somebody could have that view, and therefore we should not hold Luke up. I can see that. And i can even see your explanation of what he became. But all of that could have been shown in episode 7 and 8 if they wanted to do him justice, rather than the poor writing that seem to be these prequels.
FYI . . . Luke DID risk everything to save his father when he dropped his lightsaber - leaving himself defenseless before Emperor Palpatine - after bringing Vader to his knees. You could clearly see the anger rising in Luke as he whaled on Vader, you could clearly see the Emperor getting off on seeing it . . . and then Luke turned away from the dark side, refusing to cut Vader down in anger. Which left him completely at the mercy of these two evil dudes, with his only hope left being that he had gotten through to his father.
Love how Lucas goes on a spiel about evil, selfish desires and how all-powerful regimes consume everything they can. He then looks and Kennedy, and claps his hands. 😂 Hah, I see what you did George.
Go watch the video of when he signs over the rights to Bob Iger. People have been noticing he looks really sad, almost scared. I am wondering if he was forced to sell to Disney or be killed. This is Hollywood after all, same cult that is known to be Satan worshippers and whatnot.
@nursmalik6024 She totally knew it was aimed at her and Disney. Look at their body language. 2:12 'It's about good and evil - in us - as well as our institutions' *eyes flick accross to Kennedy* 2:34 'How do democracies turn back into dictatorships? Why do people who have the power to have freedom turn it over to someone who are going to take it all away from them?' *arms gesture towards Kennedy when referencing being usurped* Lucas seems to be fully aware what this is, and what Disney is. I think he knows they really don't give a shit. It's all about the money. His back was against the wall, and now his crowning achievement is forever in the custody of an uncaring, multi-national conglomerate. Must feel earth-shattering.
hes safe from that, their are fools that would threaten him, but hes someone they cannot risk harming, atleast... simply put they need him, theirs consequences if he dissapears, i have a feeling his fear was more of a worry for the grand scheme of things, its a huge risk... a huge part of his life was just based on being dragged into a full contract, a dangerous contract, and simply put its torn apart alot that now depends on that contract covering everything, he cares about people, his employees, all thier futures were bound up in that contract, and alot more then that, hes a good human, always has been, and always will be, just as he has always been loved and always will be, even in the darkest nights, this world exists for the sake of love, and nothing else affects this world more powerfully then love
It's amazing she lied this much ON CAMERA. When we look back at this first era of Disney Star Wars, she will be entirely responsible for its failing, as she went against everything she has said here.
Ludra1 they admitted the new Disney SW is not canon at all. It's the SW canon u should then support. They threw out the canon and trashed it royally. GL kinda got shafted here as did Luke. He looks sad here. Disney wanted the SW franchise for eons. Space movies aren't their thing. They're very good at what they do but this isn't it. Fans saw this Disney SW thang as not a good idea and were right. But I'm an old school SW fan who still thinks the canon and jedi texts shoulda been better protected. lol. GL, I fangirl that guy. He creates amazing works. He refused to sell and insisted on doing it his way. Eventually he caved so he could pursue new things and gave a lot of the money to charity... a class act right there for those things! True royalty imo.
Yeah, the prequels weren't that great. But you have to give credit where credit is due. At least George cared about his Universe. Kathleen Kennedy is a souless automaton that is there to farm cash from the SW franchise and use the franchise to drive a warped feminist political agenda. SW died when it was sold off to Disney.
"I been wondering....what are mid-chlorians?" "Now this is pod racing!" -- Annie Skywalker "I don't like sand. It's course and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere." -- Anakin "Whiny Bitch" Skywalker "NooooooOOOoooOOooooOOOoooOOOOoo!!!!!!!!!1" -Darth Vader "Yousa thinking yousa people ganna die?" - The Great Jar Jar Binks This is the last thing Luca$ left us with.
14Schofield Let's see you have the fact that you have old White Men representing the bad guys, all of the good guys are either women or minorities. The Protagonist for BOTH movies is a boyish, hardcore female. One of them is a scavenger that I am supposed to - LOL - think that she can survive the desert alone. Captain Phasma. You have Finn, which is clearly the beta male to Rey's Alpha male. Protagonists are traditionally male in Adventure and Sci Fi stories, and Star Wars is a male oriented story. It deals with several male themes, it practically invented what we call the "Hero'es Journey". It is a metaphor for the journey a young man takes from boy to manhood, from novice to master. These are integral themes about the rite of a passage a man takes. In the beginning of SW, Luke is just a farmboy, at the end of SW he is a JEDI MASTER. From novice to master. This is all about manhood. Heroism, conquering evil, fighting tyranny, war, saving the world etc are all masculine traits and themes that SW, and the genre explores. Protagonists in these kinds of stories are nearly always men because its a man's domain. Men fight in war, women do not. Kathleen Kennedy and the souless suits at DIsney and the rest of the establishment is trying to take that away. Now, do we really have to do the caveats? i guess so. "Not every man is like that." "Not every adventure story features a male" yes yes yes there are always exceptions. But its an exception and an anomaly for a reason and shouldnt be promoted.
if Luke was a perfect Jedi master there would be NO story. This isn't the life and times of Luke Skywalker. Did you really expect hime to say "cool. you found me my lightsaber?" Obi Wan died in A New Hope and he still had a part in the story. George Lucas said that the prequels dealt with young energetic men while the OT was about boys and old old men. the sequels it's back to old men. Obi Wan told him "Your eyes can decieve you," don't you want to see what that means? Don't you know the pressure one would face bringing back a religion and raising your nephew? It's not all puppies and rainbows. Don't you know how taking care of your sibling's kids feels like? I know and it scares the crap out of me.
This woman is the incarnation of Palpatine. She talks about protecting the characters created by George and now she's slaying one by one. I hope these people pay dearly for their lack of vision and excess of greed someday.
TFA is one of the most lazily-made films that I have even seen, and I will say with full confidence that it is the worst Star Wars film in the franchise.
Diego Gumucio the feminist awakens was terrible! :( starwars is done for me. lucky im old enough to have lived my entire childhood in a time where the starwars universe wasnt raped by disney.
Just because the characters are black and female doesn't mean it's PC. Plus you only hate TFA because it rejected all the EU bullshit which, by the way, was trash. You are a grown man, stop acting like a nerd teenager that only breathes star wars.
0:47 to quote kathy "the main thing is to protect these characters, make sure they lived in the way you created them" well that'd be well and good if you didn't kill off fan favs like solo and bring in trash... ruined the whole legacy Disney did.
Can't really blame Disney on this. Disney just greenlights the projects and write the checks. Evil bitch actually runs the show with how the movies are developed.
Danny Dea so I should have directed the end at Kathy? Just double checking, because if what you say is true, I don't know how on earth they could leave someone so out of touch with what the fans wanted and the overall legacy of Star Wars in general in charge. It is mind boggling... Doesn't seem like she really ever cared for Star Wars with some of the decisions that have been made.
I don't get how creators could be so clueless. Go ahead and bring in new characters without decimating the old one's, especially legendary ones. Unfortunately this is quite common with Hollywood writers. No common sense!
Kathleen Kennedy: "The main thing is to protect these characters. Make sure they continue to live in the way you created them...." Also Kathleen Kennedy: Kills off Han, ruins Lukes character and then kills him off also, kills Akbar off offscreen, makes Lando gender fluid, kills off Leia, ruins Anakins entire character arc by bringing back Palpatine just to kill him off again.
FIMO Studios gets an 8 second funeral in the movie as opposed to a full scene like the one Paul Walker got. Also did nobody tell you about Mark Hamill?
Anakin's story arc wasn't ruined - his redemption wasn't just about killing Palpatine, but first and foremost about saving his son. Bringing back Palpatine - while uninventive - doesn't take anything away from that. And Anakin did manage to restore peace and balance to the Force, if only for a limited period of time. But no one ever said it had to be forever (although it certainly would've been nice🤷♀️). And I'm not sure Leia's death was premeditated, I mean it's not like they had the story planned out years in advance😉; maybe they decided she kind of had to be killed off after Carrie died - there's only so much you can do with pre-recorded footage and it probably would've been difficult to round the story off without her. I suppose they could've used face mapping/CGI like with young Leia/Tarkin in Rogue 1 and Luke in The Mandalorian, I'm not sure why they didn't - maybe it would've been too difficult, or they had too little time, or thought it would be more respectful to Carrie to let her character become one with the Force... I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt here. But I agree they f*cked up pretty much everything else. TLJ remains one of the most disappointing films I've ever seen, and TRoS was little more than a sad attempt at cleaning up the mess it created. The last 2 films are classic examples of form over content, I'm afraid...
+jedijones I understand where you are coming from, but let's face it Harrison Ford isn't getting any younger (or cheaper) he probably only agreed to return for TFA on the condition he was killed off (he's by far the most popular of the OT actors, killing him off early gives the new cast members more room to breath and develop), frankly I thought Han should have died back in ROTJ anyway, his arc was complete i.m.o, it's rather telling that he goes back to being a smuggler in TFA, obviously even Lawrence Kasdan couldn't think of anywhere else to take him.
Paul Ashwell Well fuck Kasdan and I hate to say this, fuck Ford. George Lucas is an asshole, but he clearly understands his own universe. Han is to cool to die. Could have died of old age. I'm fine with Harrison hating Star Wars.. Pretty much all of the cast hates it. The only people who give a shit about the fans are Mark, Anthony, Kenny, Peter and Jones.
+MALayhee700 I totally get why you are p*ssed, but it's not Lucas's universe anymore, he sold the rights willingly to one of the most commercially driven companies in Hollywood with no concrete guarantee he ideas and treatments would be used, he's been in the business long enough to know how hollywood works. I really liked TFA personally, though I understand why others don't, Star Wars has inspired so many filmmakers and actors over the years I'm glad that Lucas has now given them the freedom and possibility of exploring the universe in the way they want to, at the end of the day it's all just sci-fi family friendly escapism, if the new films all turn out to be crap, just ignore them. Honestly I think Han had to die either brutally or heroically (TFA managed both i.m.o) to give the new film some weight, really there wasn't much further they could have taken the character, you are right Han's cool and a legend, but that makes his death all the more tragic...
Paul Ashwell Han Solo. The man who made the Kessel run. The man who survived and escaped the death star. Was able to flee from Jabba. Escaped a heavy imperial fleet on Hoth. Flew through the asteroid field. Destroyed the shield generator on Endor... He dies on a bridge killed by a punk who worships a grandfather he doesn't even really know. It's like Optimus being killed by Starscream, just really not dignifying.
Everyone saying the prequels were not good, then you didnt understand the movies, the politics, the crisis, evolution of a villain , a mastermind the ethics everything . Lucas you are a genius!!!!! You made the best film saga ever!!
Jeremy W There is a big difference between creating an interesting world and an enjoyable, coherent movie. I think the prequel scripts are amazing. As films, they're blazing piles of shit. (sorry, of course I'm using my opinion to make a point. I know that's not worth much)
rocketcon you're right, of course. I couldn't excuse the written dialogue. That was terrible. The story arc of episode 1-3 was okay, though, wasn't it? Just needed some improvement in character motivations and relationships.
Justice Moody George has yet to apologize for the special editions (versions that I wouldn't mind, if he hadn't made the originals unavailable). Everyone is so quick to forgive and forget, but George's response to fans asking about this was literally: "I'm sorry you saw an unfinished movie 30 years ago and fell in love with it. But that was never how it was supposed to look." Also, George had just a few years earlier been openly vocal in objecting to digitally messing with older films. Double standard, huh? George is not the end-all be-all of Star Wars. For the past 20 years he has been his own AND Star Wars' biggest enemy.
Why do I get the feeling that he was thinking about Disney and KK when he was saying "....you run your life in a very selfish way, and you think you are doing good when you are actually not,........people who have the power and the freedom turn it over to somebody who is going to take it away from them.....watch out because there are people out there who don't play by the rules.... those people who may not play by the rules because they are selfish and greedy turn themselves into evil people who don't care about other people." SLAP his hands...
It's almost like he was blackmailed into selling to Disney. Why would JFKs daughter be where she is? Lucas acts like a defeated man and her demeanor is way to cold and calculated.
@@willsmith5725 Nope, he was simply getting too old, Disney was making waves with their adaptation of Marvel comics, seemed like a good idea to hand them Star Wars. Although he can't direct the movies, he made 3 movie outlines. They bought it, and threw it away and made a different movie. He feels betrayed as he stated, he wasn't able to tell the story he wanted to. He even said that people might not like it, like what happened with the prequels, but it was the story he wanted to tell.
After only seeing these 3,5 minutes you can clearly see how much effort, philosophy, social and history studies of one man´s life experiences went into this universe we call Star Wars... I grew up with the prequels and after diving in to this universe again and again I come to this conclusion: The prequels weren't movies the old fan-base wanted, but they are the movies we needed. So much depth to the whole universe were added to the originals. Pff I think George actually wanted mankind to learn a lesson from his Science Fantasy World. And then he sold his soul ... He got betrayed, I think he even saw it coming but just hoped someone in Lucasfilm would be worthy enough to continue his work. Rian Johnson almost killed his universe.... but thankfully Dave and Jon are strong with the Force and are rebuilding the balance.
One of the saddest discussions I've seen on camera... Poor George, she literally is a Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious type character... snuck in there through lies and manipulation, pretending to be on the side of good, yet as soon as everything got signed, she took control and scrapped everything she promised to uphold.
Lucas might have done many retcons and such things (Korriban naming Moraband), but he accepted the EU as part of Star Wars. Kennedy deleted it, she did not "protect these characters". Filoni and other older fans try to bring EU elements back (Thrawn, Hammerhead cruisers, Malachor), but TFA destroyed all Darth caedus, Mara Jade, Cade Skywalker things. For what? A new version of "A new Hope". Makes no sense for me, sorry.
Much of the EU was an incoherent mess where old characters would get recycled (resurrected) over and over again. Sorry, but it was mostly cringy fanfiction. I don't mind at all for Disney to cut a lot of that dead weight.
byteresistor dead weight? the EU gave us the Mara Jade Skywalker, Darth Caedus, Anakin Solo, Kyle Katarn, Satele Shan, Malgus, Valkorian, his sons, Vaylin, darth Tenebrous, Plageuis' backstory, the yuuzong vong war, darth Caedus, Jaina solo, darth krayt, darth talon, darth venemous, exar kun, the origins of the Sith empire, the original fallen Jedi, the first Jedi, the Sith wars, mandalorian wars, the second galactic war, Luke's reestablishment of the new Jedi order, Ben SKYWALKER (not solo), ben's sons (Kol and Nat "Rawk" Skywalker), Galen Marek, and an extensive history of both the clone wars and the first galactic war during the empire era. Disney is ruining Lucas' legacy with their SJW politics.
I agree the force awakens made me wanna burn down all Disney lands and find whoever wrote that pieceof shit and introduce them to a iron maiden for say the rest of there life
"live the way you created them" lol so Han solo dies like an idiot Luke turns into a hermit who doesn't give a shit about his friends and Leia will be killed in the next movie
You watch. They'll kill her off screen or cgi her and then kill her. Should've just gave her a send off in TLJ. Rip carrie Fisher but idk why they kept her alive after seemingly blowing her up into space.
Yeah $4 billion is absolutely nothing to George Lucas... independent craft beer companies have been sold for $1 billion, Star Wars is the biggest franchise and fictional universe on the planet, it is worth more than $100 billion in reality. He didn't do it for the money, he did it because of the cruelness of fans and critics, and because he doesn't know how long he has left in this life. George Lucas is truly a genius and deserves more credit for all that he has done...
Alexander $100 billion is a bit far but I agree with what you said. Fuck all these so called fans on youtube ripping apart everything people spend shit tonnes of time doing. To the idiots saying he sold out....every dime he received went to a charitable foundation....
"The main thing is to protect these characters, make sure they continue to live in the way that you created them, and that the universe of Star Wars continues to grow." Smirking as she said this, with such specific detail in that pledge, while failing to uphold any of those details tells any person with an ounce of sense she very much intended to disgrace the property, the characters, and the universe. I will never - and I am not alone - support a single thing that JJ Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy or Rian Johnson touches ever. Ever.
"the main thing is to protect these characters, make sure they continue to live in the way you created them, and the Star Wars universe continues to grow" Hey, hey Kathy... do you consider taking the heroes of George's story and turning them into deadbeat losers who abandon their friends/family/wife and responsibilities at the moment the galaxy needs them the most, allowing the galaxy to go to shit through their inaction, and making a movie whose plot complete negates everything those characters fought for... protecting them? Is that how the story grows? When that stormtrooper yelled out, "TRAITOR!", he was looking at you, bitch.
+MALayhee700 Its all about the nostalgiagasms and the spectacle then it is about the characters, the plot and the story for these people. They are fans in name only.
+KP LLC That doesn't fly. Obi Wan and Yoda were in a position where an entire galactic government was hunting them and they had only a few allies left. They had no armies, no fleets, just a few sympathetic senators. They were thoroughly defeated. In Disney Wars, Luke, Leia, and Han were on the side of the galactic government which they were crucial in helping to establish, they should have had the support of armies and fleets... instead Luke was a tail-tucking bitch that hid from a small terrorist cell, and Leia and Han were too busy doing their own crap that their son became Darth Emo. This is truly a Star Wars for the current generation.
"The main thing is to protect these characters and make sure they continue to live in the way that you created them" *Proceeds to kill Han, Luke and Leia*
Celestial Scripture maybe now he will get the respect that he deserves. That one piece of dialogue shows why he is the man and Disney's star wars will never come close to his.
He's very alpha here. George effortlessly exposes KK for all to see and she could do nothing about it. These clips are fascinating in retrospect, unlike "The Last Jedi" itself.
He sold out to a greedy corporation and then gets upset that they made soulless movies. At the end of the day it's his fault, he decided that money was more important than Star War's legacy.
It's sad how Lucas has no idea he's dealing with a female Sith Lord sitting on his right, who basically told him everything he wanted to hear and as soon as all was said and done, she slithered back to her Sith master, Darth Iger and they both promptly kicked Lucas out to the curb.... To his day I respect Lucas for all he did but, I will forever have the urge to just slap him upside the head and ask what in *_HELL_* he was thinking when he sold everything, to the most wretched company out there of all, Di$ney... (eyeroll, facepalm, smh)
+Jane Janus I am well aware of that fact and I agree with what you said 100%. I myself have said the exact same thing millions of times before. I know that the Prequel/EU haters, who have now become the majority of _'Di$ney War$'_ loving drones and who turned on him like rabid skunks, are the root reason why things are the way they are now. They are to blame for *_everything_* in this mess. Now then, I still have to wonder why he didn't just sit on things and just let some time pass by. I think he made a very rash and foolish decision in the heat of the moment and as most people know, that is the worst time to make decisions, especially ones of that magnitude. It's so obvious that he is totally devastated in how Di$ney/Kennedyfilm is treating his creation. Crushed in regards to the direction that SW is being led into which has nothing to do with his original vision at all. As I already touched on as well, he put Kennedy in charge of his company and entrusted her with all he held dear. She was his friend of 35+ yrs. and I believe he chose her to head his company as a way of keeping an eye on what was going on with what he created. He put his total trust into her and she flashed her smile and told him everything he wanted to hear... Even as the ink was still fresh on the contract, she betrayed him and basically ran off laughing, Di$ney paycheck in hand and basically leaving Lucas (who as I said was a friend of nearly 40 yrs.) out in the gutter. Kennedy has no shame and proudly wears her betrayal of Lucas like a medal on her sleeve for all to see. Iger on the other hand is just a typical, sleazy business snake. His intentions were visible and clear as day from Day 1 - to milk the SW brand 'til it's bone dry and run it straight into the ground - which he confirmed a short while ago by announcing that there will be *_more_* SW films *_after_* Ep. 9 and the 3rd spinoff film. Once they have leeched off all they can from the franchise, they will discard it into the "has-been" bin and move onto the "next big thing".
Poor George he sold his story to a looney feminist. Why are we all not shocked at the current out come of cow dung. So sad to see the franchise in the state it is in truly painful 😖
Boycott Episode IX. Hit em where it hurts. I don't care how long, after it hits theaters, I'll have to wait to see it, I'm not giving these bastards my money. The Last Jedi is a disgrace, and Kathleen Kennedy, Rian Johnson and Disney should be ashamed.
Matt Carver same. Now I know who to blame for this feminist trash. Loved how there were like 3 or 4 scenes where a woman is sacrificing her life for the rebellion. None of the bad guys were at all respectable. They were just goofy and mean.
Irish Cowboy There's nothing "feminist" about these movies. Notice how Rey and the new Girl played by Lisa Marie Tran are just Fan Girls gushing over male character's. Rey gushed over Luke then later she gushed over the same guy who killed Han Solo. It was just trash all around.
George's whole "think you're doing when you're actually not" speech is so clearly directed at Kathleen and other Disney execs. He's dealt with these people his whole career, he saved Star Wars from them for decades. He's fearless because he's retired. Look at him gesture to Kathleen when he says "how do people with the power and the freedom turn it over to somebody whose going to take it all away from him." HAHA. Going onto say "watch out because there are people out there who don't play by the rules (looks at Kathleen aka President of Lucasfilms)." Something fucked up happened with his deal with Disney. He got bought out but they got more than he planned somehow, I'm sure their lawyers did something really fucked up in the deal.

It's so sad how they just fucked EVERYTHING George did, they've even made Luke seem like he's not even that good. Disney should work with George. Consulting everything and use his ideas to develop future new movies. Both would profit, even if Disney gonna get more % I believe box office and ratings would be way different with all fans knowing that George is full time involved.

Lucas wasn't talking about Star Wars...
nope... he looks right at her and tries to clap her into the reality of what he just said
What was he talking about, Jews?

Inside Tha JackaLs Head TFA wasn't fresh though as others mentioned it was just A New Hope rehashed with a shitty wannabe Vader

And not just his work, but the work of HUNDREDS of game designers, comic book artists and writers, actors, authors, and numerous of people. All flushed down. Truly astounding
She destroyed Luke Skywalker.
Would've been less painful if they just lit him on fire and kicked the shit out of him. Much more dignified than last jedi.

The foreshadowing of what happened with the sequels here is uncanny. It feels like George knew she was gonna betray him and do her own thing.

Kathleen Kennedy - I despise this woman.
POOR AND UNORIGINAL PLOT
NO GROUND BREAKING EFFECTS

Actually Steven Pielberg was very interested in directing and working on Star Wars. However at time Lucas set to make prequels Steven was tied up in other projects.
Now that Disney owns Star Wars he won't ever direct a star wars film. Which sad cause he would make a good film.
Spielberg dragged JJ Abrams to Star Wars when he refused Kathleen Kennedy's offer. Spielberg knows JJ is a hack who does crappy reboots of better films. Spielberg sacrificed Star Wars to push JJ's career.

Just the originals.

I miss the Prequels and the originals too.
I miss fucking Star Wars
I am beginning to feel sorry for George Lucas
His baby ain't
B E How so? The 3 new Star Wars movies have grossed more than 4 billion dollars worldwide. Audience interest is greater than when the prequels came out. I don't know where this franchise is failing.
Then maybe he shouldn’t have sold the franchise for $4 billion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Dude honestly, he didn’t have to do anything with the franchise.
Kathleen is done. Fire her for ruining SW.
Tim Cain You can't fire her, that would be sexist.
This is a Disney problem. If it wasn't Kathleen Kennedy it would be some other talentless hack just like her.
She didn’t want to trove those treasures.
It's painful how obvious she isn't there for anything George is saying. She's just letting him talk out of respect, but she's just there for the dollar signs.
That smirk she has is 'duper's delight.' She's getting off on deceiving him, it makes her feel superior.
While licking her lips
she says, "the main purpose is to protect the characters and ensure they live.."SHE KILLED THEM ALL OFF!!!!!"

Kathleen Kennedy is secretly a Sith Lord.

She's worse
Heck Sith Lord is wayyyy nicer
Shes way worse than a sith lord
Cue Mace Windu: "...a sith LORD?"
The blame rests completely with Disney, they told George anything he wanted to hear just to get him to sign. George Lucas and Mark Hamill were deceived and the fans ultimately betrayed.
So, Disney is the Empire - makes sense to me!
Poor George. He had no idea what a mistake he was making handing Star Wars over to Kathleen Kennedy and Disney. They ruined his legacy.
Yep. 100% Correct! Disney ruined the franchise
They would have killed the brand after he died anyway... But at least he knows who stabbed him in the back.
He sold it cause the fans where assholes
ANONYMOUS I’m pretty sure the fans where assholes before Disney. Some prick had the gull to write a song saying George Lucas raped his childhood

"The main thing is protect these characters."
Han abandons Leia and their Son, returning to a life of crime, and taking his best friend down with him...
It's sad. It looked like he knew but he wanted to be wrong.
I thought the same thing. Hahahahaha
Wow, Kathleen Kennedy actually had the balls to say " We wanna protect the characters, blah blah blah"! What a bunch of horseshit.....

Han DEAD
Luke DEAD

Star Wars DEAD

BANG UP JOB!
FUBAR!
Lucas could have perhaps protected himself by making the sequels himself, instead he did the less than stellar prequels.
Leia didnt die in the movies. She only died in real life. Thats not kathleen kennedys fault.
Don't forget Ackbar!

@@billwilliams328 george is the master of throwing force shade
@@billwilliams328 yeah 2:10 onwards they're talking about each other
I never thought I'd say this but I kind of want George back.
+John Edelmann Charlie also repeatedly lost his cool. It was unprofessional.

Why would you never think you'd say that? Star Wars IS George Lucas. It's all his imagination brought to life by incredible artists and engineers. TFA feels so empty because it was created by a board of directors
Why is she referring to him in third person? He is in the room. The disrespect from her is unquantifiable.

"The main thing is to protect these characters, make sure that they still continue to live in the way you created them..." - Kathleen Kennedy
TLJ Spoiler: Then Luke tries to kill his padawan because he feels the dark side in him altough he tried absolutely everything to bring the most evil person in the entire galaxy back to the light side (darth vader in episode 6) and then he wants the jedi to end just because he made a mistake himself? Thats not the Luke Skywalker that was created by Lucas, not one bit
George was speaking from the heart. Kennedy was blurting out meaningless marketing drivel. She was painful to listen to.
The Jedi Order needed to go back to its roots, back to being true practitioners of The Force
We as fans, cannot expect a character who was 23 when we last saw him on the big screen to be the exact same 30 years later.
Which left him completely at the mercy of these two evil dudes, with his only hope left being that he had gotten through to his father.
totally agree.
Love how Lucas goes on a spiel about evil, selfish desires and how all-powerful regimes consume everything they can. He then looks and Kennedy, and claps his hands. 😂
Hah, I see what you did George.

But I'm an old school SW fan who still thinks the canon and jedi texts shoulda been better protected. lol.

Yeah, the prequels weren't that great. But you have to give credit where credit is due. At least George cared about his Universe. Kathleen Kennedy is a souless automaton that is there to farm cash from the SW franchise and use the franchise to drive a warped feminist political agenda. SW died when it was sold off to Disney.
rogue 1 was ok but TFA did totally assrape Starwars

"Yousa thinking yousa people ganna die?" - The Great Jar Jar Binks
This is the last thing Luca$ left us with.
I'm sorry, I agree with pretty much everything but how did Star Wars become feminist political propaganda...?
But its an exception and an anomaly for a reason and shouldnt be promoted.

why don't you care? no discussion at all? You're going to have a bitter grumpy life.
if Luke was a perfect Jedi master there would be NO story.

The sequel trilogy is basically Order 66 on Star Wars, killing our old favourite characters and destroying any substance or nuance the saga had.
JJ Abrams is the biggest atrocity Star Wars could ever have had as a director. TFA was garbage
TFA is one of the most lazily-made films that I have even seen, and I will say with full confidence that it is the worst Star Wars film in the franchise.
Taseen Khan Same here, totally agree.

starwars is done for me. lucky im old enough to have lived my entire childhood in a time where the starwars universe wasnt raped by disney.
Mathew Blyth I know... IT's really sad to see Star Wars take down the path of political correctness, and makers only thirsty for money. RIP Star Wars

+thatloose bloke Right on, you tell 'em! And I was a diehard Star Wars fan!
Kathleen should of been a HR manager.
That's her level of incompetence.
Kathleen Kennedy: "The main thing is to protect these characters. Make sure they continue to live in the way you created them...."
Also Kathleen Kennedy: Kills off Han, ruins Lukes character and then kills him off also, kills Akbar off offscreen, makes Lando gender fluid, kills off Leia, ruins Anakins entire character arc by bringing back Palpatine just to kill him off again.
Actually the actor of Han Solo wanted his character to be killed off, so you can’t blame Disney and Kennedy for that.
@@Sassywizard But the rest?
I bet Chewie killed himself after TRoS because he's got none of his old friends left apart maybe from 3P0 and R2
"The main thing is to protect these characters...make sure they continue to live in the way that you created them." Tell that to Han Solo.
+jedijones She and JJ killed arguably the poster boy of Star Wars. Luke, Han and Vader are in the high tier or popularity.

James Harris I feel the opposite way about the prequels, I thought the scripts were poor but the visuals are amazing.
rocketcon you're right, of course. I couldn't excuse the written dialogue. That was terrible.
The story arc of episode 1-3 was okay, though, wasn't it? Just needed some improvement in character motivations and relationships.
Jeremy W, very true.
I think it's time fans apologise to George for unfairly hating the prequels. This is what happens when you put out hate.
Well said!
I never hated the prequels . . . just jarjar.
Justice Moody George has yet to apologize for the special editions (versions that I wouldn't mind, if he hadn't made the originals unavailable).
Everyone is so quick to forgive and forget, but George's response to fans asking about this was literally:
"I'm sorry you saw an unfinished movie 30 years ago and fell in love with it. But that was never how it was supposed to look."
Also, George had just a few years earlier been openly vocal in objecting to digitally messing with older films. Double standard, huh?
George is not the end-all be-all of Star Wars. For the past 20 years he has been his own AND Star Wars' biggest enemy.
Most fans did not hate george. A few vocal fans got annoyed but that was about it. I loved Revenge of the Sith.
+Justice Moody: I liked the prequels.
He actually made a sidelong glance at Kathleen just before he slapped his hands together. Coincidence?
Brian Perez and she realised she jumped like she was almost greedy but I doubt she’s guilty anymore.
It's almost like he was blackmailed into selling to Disney. Why would JFKs daughter be where she is? Lucas acts like a defeated man and her demeanor is way to cold and calculated.
Because he was, they bought his trilogy outline and didn't use it.
George Lucas is one of the most interesting human beings on this planet
Wow. She just does not get it. At all.
TheDiggityDNG like when Lucas was talking about how people are good and bad and she seems to think there's only 100% right 100% wrong what a fuckhead
“The main thing is to protect these characters and make sure they continue to live in the way you created them” good job with Luke in the last jedi
She's a Sith Lord, She is Darth Kathleen who is the overlord of Darth Rian Johnson, I made a video about it
Actually, she'd be Senator/Emperor Kennedy to his Darth Johnson.
Huh huh huh, Darth Johnson... 😅
PayinAttention we’ve already had a Senator Kennedy........
If only we had a time machine....................... and tell oswald he got the wrong one.
Don't worry Jedi Master Jar Jar Binks will take her down.
But I'm a Sith and I'm not an evil prick. That is unless someone pisses me off.
I agree the force awakens made me wanna burn down all Disney lands and find whoever wrote that pieceof shit and introduce them to a iron maiden for say the rest of there life
I think he means that they feel they have to be politicaly correct or appease feminists and all that shit or kiddie up everything that they touch
What's politically correct about having a female lead? that has never happened in the history of film, right?
Oh look it's the devil and George Lucas
RJ Macready nice profile pic
RJ Macready you like Resident Evil And Star Wars
My NIGGA
She really said "This is better than Harry Potter because we don't need to plan sh*t!"
Just coast of our iconography and characters. Sounds about what we're getting.
someone should edit this with Darth Sidious' music playing in the background
Don't forget his cackle (subtly during her "protecting the characters" lie)
"live the way you created them"
lol
so Han solo dies like an idiot
Luke turns into a hermit who doesn't give a shit about his friends
and Leia will be killed in the next movie
best kinda mess Han Solo killed by his own son is not that bad but I'll agree what you said about Luke and Leia
You watch. They'll kill her off screen or cgi her and then kill her.
Should've just gave her a send off in TLJ. Rip carrie Fisher but idk why they kept her alive after seemingly blowing her up into space.
He punked her out! After everything he says which is directed at her and Disney, he then claps his hands and looks directly at her! LMAO!
And then sold to Disney anyway.
Yup for $4 Billion.....
Edithae So the people in LucasArts could keep their jobs
"The main thing is to protect these characters, make sure they continue to live in the way that you created them, and that the universe of Star Wars continues to grow."
Smirking as she said this, with such specific detail in that pledge, while failing to uphold any of those details tells any person with an ounce of sense she very much intended to disgrace the property, the characters, and the universe. I will never - and I am not alone - support a single thing that JJ Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy or Rian Johnson touches ever. Ever.
"the main thing is to protect these characters, make sure they continue to live in the way you created them, and the Star Wars universe continues to grow"
Hey, hey Kathy... do you consider taking the heroes of George's story and turning them into deadbeat losers who abandon their friends/family/wife and responsibilities at the moment the galaxy needs them the most, allowing the galaxy to go to shit through their inaction, and making a movie whose plot complete negates everything those characters fought for... protecting them? Is that how the story grows?
When that stormtrooper yelled out, "TRAITOR!", he was looking at you, bitch.
+saygoodbyetoprivacy Love your comment.., How Star Wars fans don't realize this makes me sick.
+MALayhee700 Its all about the nostalgiagasms and the spectacle then it is about the characters, the plot and the story for these people. They are fans in name only.
+LordMalice6d9 The exact same thing happened in the EU, just saying. How would you continue a story without conflicts?
+saygoodbyetoprivacy Like Obi wan and Yoda did
+KP LLC That doesn't fly.
RIP Star Wars
Man, Kathleen really betrayed George with TFA. Makes sense cuz she's wearing dark clothes and George has light clothes
Haha. That's an interesting remark. She's a sith!
Clever.
yeah, she's so fake, she keeps spouting corporate lingo, she has nothing to bring on the table.
Palpatine has white hair D:
"The main thing is to protect these characters and make sure they continue to live in the way that you created them"
*Proceeds to kill Han, Luke and Leia*
Clap of dominance. Well played, George.
Holy Mackeral. Seems he was stabbed in the back with The Rehash Awakens.
LMFAO "The Rehash Awakens" DEAD HAHAHAHHA
The FARCE awakens is my favourite lol.
+Deathbyblackhole The Force Recycled is better lol
"Protect these characters" What?!? The first thing they did was destroy the characters Lucus designed.
He sold out to a greedy corporation and then gets upset that they made soulless movies. At the end of the day it's his fault, he decided that money was more important than Star War's legacy.
That's not true, he was already a billionaire before selling Lucasfilm. He was deceived by Bob Iger.
@@JarJarAbrams I know he was already a billionaire. That's what makes it sadder.
@@johns966 He didn't sell for money. Watch his Charlie Rose interview if you want to know.
Kathy, you are the enemies of Star Wars fans.
So sad to see the franchise in the state it is in truly painful 😖
if you want to insult a cow, you tell her poop looks like star wars.
You could See the worry in George's face
0:44 ....wow. It's like the Emperor had a daughter..
MrFreakface999 Mystery solved, Rey is her daughter. I always knew she was a Palpatine.
GhostAdvocate13 im seeing 9
Checking in from The Last Jedi and goddamn this is more sinister than it was with the first movie in the new trilogy. Fuck that.
Matt Carver same. Now I know who to blame for this feminist trash. Loved how there were like 3 or 4 scenes where a woman is sacrificing her life for the rebellion. None of the bad guys were at all respectable. They were just goofy and mean.
Irish Cowboy fuck now i noticed that!!!!
Juan Catalan lmao OK
