- Rotund Squamate roams an apartment to Erik Satie's Gnossienne 1.
This is a compilation of footage of my ball python (aka royal python) exploring my apartment. The footage was taken over the course of a month or so (not all in one go), and it is unstaged. All the places you see her moving around in are places she managed to get to by herself. That includes climbing onto my shelves and tables.
She is very active and I let her out of her terrarium to roam around my place almost every day. The only days she doesn't want out are the days directly after feeding or when she is shedding. The terrarium seen in the video is her old terrarium that she came in when I adopted her, I am in the process of upgrading her to a much larger one, as that one is too small for her.
The thought of an animal as active as this being kept in tiny rack system is quite sad. If you have a ball python I hope you provide ample space for it to move around in.
Sorry for the potato quality footage but I filmed this on my phone because the only camera I own is even worse.

Such an active girl! So fun to watch her explore. I just inherited my first ball python and I’m excited to get to know her and see if she’s as curious as your snake.
