- One of my favorite episodes, this classic has a Swiss scientist (Victor Buono) creating a cyborg duplicate of Nelson in order to use the Seaview to start a nuclear holocaust. The "end of the world" feel in the last half is amazing. From 16mm film.
Really good episode, mostly because of the great actor, Victor Buono. During the late 70s I drove from Orange to LA to see the marvelous stage plays at what were called Little Theatre. I often saw Victor Buono in the local stage productions. He was even more fantast live. Also in this episode was Nancy Hsueh, an underated actress who was a pioneer for people of color in Hollywood productions.
You are the first person to put up a new episode in years. I mean Dailymotion or UA-cam. You wouldn't have some of the old b/w eps from s 1 would you? Thanks for cyborg, i think that she is the most beautiful girl i have ever seen.
This episode went out on London Weekend Television at 5.15pm on Saturday, 12 July 1969. It was up against the very first episode of Star Trek to be broadcast on British TV, over on BBC1 at exactly the same time. It was a big week for space travel, so Trek probably got the better audience.
this scientist actor is one the most important villains saw him in Jim West and other movies just brilliant acting..
King tutt in Batman
Love it! One of my favorites!
And mine 2. But rather under-appreciated .
@@robertcubinelli4961 Just a little!
They are STILL working on cyborgs.......this is a series that would be up to date TODAY.(LS)
It also depicts the Covid-ridden farce in the world today
Victor Buono practising for being the nemesis of the Man from Atlantis there...
The would be world tyrant talks about a New World Order with one world govt......RING ANY INFAMOUS BELLS IN today's COVID farce world ????? !!
KING TUT, BATMAN!
I'm Sorry Nelson you walked right into that one!
This episode should have been called "Without Consent".💕
THEY NEEDS TO REDO THIS SERIES TODAY...
classic! must see!
16:01 The Replacement Number 2 Flying Sub FS 1 authorized by the Bureau of Ships to replace the Original Flying Sub lost in service in the episode And Five of Us are Left. The Flying Sub Flight Deck Configuration used the additional passengers seating which
totaled 4 seats including the Pilot and CoPilot seats. 24:44 Chief of The Boat Chief Petty Officer CPO Francis Ethelbert Sharkey working the Control Room operations desk in the absence of Executive Officer Lieutenant Commander Chip Morton.
OK it definitely went through several flank subs over the course of the show, but I do not think occasionally seen additional seats were unique to one particular FS. I think much like the actual TV show set, the additional seats were simply removable.
Victor Buono is practicing his Henry Kissinger accent?
Crazy to think Victor Buono was only 26 in this episode! And he died at age 43
That voice on the radio saying our country is under attack sounds like president Johnson.
Cool! I can't wait for 1976!!
I remember watching this, live, I was in third grade. Friday night 7 PM, you had to be there or you missed it. And I also remember thinking, wow 1976, I wonder how the world will be then?
I would like to get the complete series .
I knew that scientist was going to do something to Nelson. He shouldn't have gone there by himself.
THE MAD SCIENTIST. IS THE BEST VILLIAN. BC THEY R JUST MEN. NOT AILEN, GHOST, MONSTERS, JUST MEN...
I'm sorry but I thought they all had it there!😳
Mind your own business Capt. Crane, I'm tired of your insubordinate interference!!!!!
Can anyone tell me if the Flying Sub theoretically possible? Fight wise, I can see it but smashing into waters at it's rate of speed doesn't seem possible without cracking up!
Yes, there's a prototype already made
Actually, this idea/concept has been around for a loong time. I believe the Soviets tried to design one (and probably other nations too).
My favourite is Skydiver from the series UFO - brilliant underwater launch!
Isn't this the same guy who played King Tut on Batman?
Y DON'T THEY JUST CALLS THEM ROBOTS. BC THAT'S WHAT THEY R!!! MACHINES...
Elon Musk, eat your heart out. ?
R.❤❤❤❤❤❤
This episode is full of plot holes. But then, it's science fantasy.
Victor Wilson it’s also an Irwin Allen show. If we worry about plot holes, we’re watching them wrong...
