We were 8 year olds...watching Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea ,Mannix and Star Trek,, before we fell asleep while our Parents were Partying in the other room 🙂
Couldn't agreed more... Way back half a century ago... Damn we are getting old.
@@ahmaddanieal9468no u are old haha😅
I can remember the program. Star trek without the miniskirts. It's nostalgic to watch it again, but I have to keep putting my head in my hands and moan "no, no...."
That flying sub really was the icing on the cake for me what was a marvelous series
It was way cooler than the Galileo7 from star trek .😎
@@randybarnett2308 BUILT THE aUROURA fs MODEL KIT AND DUNKED IT IN A POOL, IT ACTUALLY FLEW UDERWATER FOR A WHILE
Now the flying sub saucer is seen all over the world.
Definitely 👍
Boy! This is one of a kind! Still owes a special place in my heart, as l’ve grown watching these shows.
Can’t forget that episode they’re inside a huge whale …hahaha
Of course nowadays everything is top high SFX. But just to think this was made for tv!!!
Adventure, spy stuff, fairy tales, etc…the whole full package.
I was an addict of this series in the first few years but the quality did fade over time. That seems to happen with Irwin Allen productions. It's like he loses interest. He did the same thing with Lost in Space and then the Time Tunnel. Great starts and then after a while, silly and sometimes ridiculous. This was one of the last episodes, so...not as good, but it's true that the actors knew their roles so well they could play along and make it work even though it wasn't very convincing on any level.
he had apprentice writers. Irwin Allen was NO Gene Rodenberry....no way.
I was a huge fan of the Time Tunnel growing up in the 60's 😊
*FINALY* someone who is able to provide this precious old gem in an aceptable quality !
THANK YOU !!!
I agree I've been waiting so long since VHS became c/d too cool please keep it.

I still remember the 70s Planet of the Apes series or movies and Land of the Giants etc, UFO, Space 1999, et al
Land of the Giants and Voyage were from the 60s.
I'm grateful for everyone who can simply enjoy a way out fantasy adventure. Unfortunately a few MENSA applicants are unhappy here but what an amazing display of imagination and cinematography. The constipated will be glad of this, but we'll never have such lively camp adventure again. There's a lot to be grateful for in these relics from the early "space age" and "Right Stuff" eras.
Indeed I prefer the classics over the crap their making today
@@bridgettflournoy2123 Thank you for your "support of the classics." They are so much fun.Im surprised that now, there are those who can't even enjoy "campy" original Trek. What's WITH people these days? Oh well.
Every episode somebody says "On the double!!"
always FIRE IN THE CIRCUTRY ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved this series. It was my Star Trek antithesis and every bit as beloved. The cohesive cast of characters as phenomenal! thanks for your passion in delivering a quality experience!
I hope that voyage to the bottom of the sea gets it's own antithesis of star trek the next generation
Great Answer! Thank you.
Good comparison to Star Trek. I agree. It was a great show.
Remember. "Land of the Giants". Also "The Time Tunnel"
I was able to watch some of these shows as repeats as a kid. I loved them then and now that I'm able to see all the shows now, I love all the episodes.
Imagine that, ufo's diving into the ocean, today that has really happened,Shag Harbor, Nova Scotia and off the coast of San Diego
Real blast from the past - and 2 cast members from Little House on the Prairie (Richard Bull and Kevin Hagen who play Nels Oleson and Dr. Baker). So strange to see them in an old TV series together.
Always nice seeing Kevin Hagen.
Thank you so much for sharing!!
Cardboard/plywood settings, cheesy dialogue, pre CGI special effects and batty plot's.And I absolutely love it.They don't make them like this anymore.
Many sets, props and effects shared with 'Lost in Space'.

I watched this story may be in 1971 in the Malaysia tv.At that time I was 13 years.
Great ould programmes at the time not like nowadays
The Submarine SSRN Seaview and The Flying Sub FS1 once again "assigned to the most dangerous missions against the enemies of mankind" In the words of Crewman Kowalski in the episode The Sky's Falling. The Submarine Seaview first encounter with a U.F.O. "That's the neatest trick of the week chasing down a UFO with a submarine."
DAM HOW DO WE KNOW THAT THERE WERE OUR SUBS NOT INVOLVED IN THE NIMITZ ENCOUNTER
@@rsprockets7846What in the name of Richard Basehart are you talking about?
Thank you posting entire episode in great quality and no commercials
I'd be ok with commercials, if they were retro ones appropriate to the same general period as the shows🙂🙂
David Heddison was really a handsome guy. Most people know David Hedison's daughter Alexandra is married to Jodie Foster. This was a great show when it came out. I used to watch it every week !
Yes, I had a huge crush on him ❤❤
Can we not just talk about people as people? David Hedison, Richard Basehart and the crew were great. I watched every one. Take your childish sexuality out of this.
???
classic adventure scfi series & great performance from Richard basehart.
Used to watch these when I was like 5 years old. I love to go back and watch them again.
A....flying sub..? What the...? I mean how is that possible? It could never happen - how ridiculous! But when this was my favourite TV programme, when this was the absolute highlight of the week that I'd waited another seven days to see the next episode, a flying sub was the most natural invention in the world. Ok, I was 5 and then 6 years old at the time, and I counted down the days of each week until the next 7.15 on a Sunday evening in 1967 and '68 to see what was in store for the crew of the Seaview. This was wonderful stuff, and all those monsters and aliens really existed of course! Still brilliant. I watched these while in Canada - coming back to GB to find Sci-Fi programmes made with puppets made me feel that I'd landed in a country of Luddites! Admiral Nelson and Captain Kirk...I mean Crane...You'd trust your life in their hands!
They should've called it a submersible plane.
I don't usually go for reboots. But with today's technology I would love to see a remake of this show, but not campy, more like action adventure.
Reboot would have Bruce Willis as Admiral Nelson,Nickolas Cage as Captain Crane, Jason Stadham as Cheif Sharkey,Ben Aflack as Commander Chip Morton, and Kowalski would be played by the guy who was the Green Lantern.
@@randybarnett2308 I'd replace Willis as he wouldn't give a shit anyway. He would only do this for the money.
Me too. If I had Bezos bucks I would have a Seaview built to take people on excursions and I would have a casting call for look a likes to work on the tours.
It'll be an all-woman crew.
So that’s why America did that nuclear test - so it could be used in this episode!!!
Keep in mind that the series creator, Irwin Allen didn't concern himself as much with scientific accuracy as he did with entertainment value.
Skip Homeier also played a couple roles in the Star Trek original series.
Space hippie!!
This was a GREAT show so of course they cancelled it.
The bad guys were real jerks...
Playing LOST IN SPACE in a Superfund site when this was produced. The latex would bubble year round. But it was fun.
hey voyage was ahead of the Nmitz encounter in 1967
19:10 there's a fire extinguisher on the wall right behind him
Too big of a fire...don't ya think
The alien, in his uniform looks like an power ranger, a 1960's mod version, if the series had been invented by the US tv market!😁
Loved watching these on my phone. No commercials!!!. Thank you.😊😊😊 21:08
Flying sub strange goings on indeed......
We had such imaginations back then. Replaced by cynicism, doubt & unbelief.
Is there any chance of posting the episodes from the beginning. I know there are 110 episodes but, I missed the first 2 sessons . Is there any chance. Been in hospital for the last 5 months . Missed my Saturday night fix of Voyage..
Hope you can help. Thanks😊❤❤😊 12:27
Good to finally know the cause of the Baker detonation!
I was always impressed by how quickly they could repair a severely damaged vessel. Where do they get all the spare parts? The technicians must be 1st class. I must say these were huge fun when I was a kid and they still are. Very non-diverse cast and who cares.
I loved all the sci-fi series when i was a kid but this had to be my favorite, still so far out and i was even thinking a remake wouldn't be bad but keep along the lines of 60s sci-fi without all the over the top special effects that they seem to rely so heavily on now with nothing left to the imagination 🙂anyways a fantastic series that tops most garbage on Netflix 👍👌
"Noticeable,is the advanced technology (of stainless steel, silver chrome, gray metallic) control systems within the 'Seaview Sub';early 21rst.century setting. . .7--23--2023'
you got that right! Luv this too and I was a little girl. I wanted to live on the Seaview.
These aliens aren’t too bright! They can destroy earth but they can’t find let alone kill one man,….the admiral! Why do they want earth destroyed ? What did we do to put them in such a bad mood?
7:29 Seaview Rock and Roll!
Why isn't his shirt wet under the tie?
Both Seaview & The Flying Sub did it for me...much beautiful than any craft Gerry Anderson could dream up.
You must be one of those Kirk Vs Picard jerks.
Both Irwin Allen and Anderson are legends, in their own way.
I loved the Seaview and I'm an old girl now.
Ooh! I don't know I have always loved Thunderbird 1 that's bad ass, but yes the Seaview is a beautiful lady she's certainly a tough old bird!😅
The alien Power Ranger has a normal hip flask.
You just can not beat these shows, especially as a young kid back in the 60s, 70s, so unique, exciting, and original. They really were the best times ever and I loved them even as a 63 year old today still think the world of them.
20TH CENTURY FOX was awesome back in the day! All those Irwin Allen productions and Shows like Batman and the Green Hornet, were incredible! Thanks....
Hollywood makes a lot of illusions 🤔✌️
Skip as Robek was a great alien.

One of the last. 3 more to go and season 4 calls it a day.

Hi
Ha - Ha -- This was awful! I loved it. Think I thought it was wonderful when I watched it as a kid.
Same here, LOL!
Gee, you grew up. This was for kids...
@@ActivateMission2ThisTimeline I don’t know how old you are, but this was not a “kids’ show”. SciFi shows for kids like Rocky Jones Space Ranger, Flash Gordon, Sky King etc. aired on Saturday and Sunday mornings and late afternoon (btwn 3:00 & 6:00) on weekdays. Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea was in prime time at 8:00 pm Sundays on abc, and was the lead-in to the BIG ratings show, The Sunday Night Movie. This show was competing for viewers with Bonanza over on NBC. So, let’s just say it was a kids’ show made for adults or an adults’ show made for kids.
@@josephdans5473 Then we were young enough to buy it.
i'm 42 and i love it. no regrets. just don't take it seriously.
Dr Who had the Doctor, this show had the Admiral. He just programs alien missiles to blow up like a total boss. Just me or did the director struggle to get the whole scripted story in the can? Felt like a few loose ends the editors tried to paper over.
That was a FAST resolution to be sure. That worked out much more convincingly in season 1s The Blizzard Makers.
As a child I loved this series (although I had to take their word for it that is was in colour (UK sp). I still like the old Irwin Allen classics, but it always strikes me the when the flying sub re-enters the sea, at that angle, it would be like driving into solid concrete.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love this show I'm 68 watched it growing up and I'm still a fan 😊
David Hedison's daughter is married to Jodie Foster. Little piece of trivia.
เป็นภาพยนตร์ที่ยอดเยี่ยม
Só nice to see this again!!! We zaten met gewassen haartjes voor de buis. Dit mochten we zien en dan...naar bed. Zó leuk om terug te zien!! En dat is zeker 50 jaar geleden!! Bedankt!! Love to you all from the Netherlands
Thank you. Enjoyed your note.
Where's the bathroom?
All war
Is the admiral Val Doonicans brother?
I had to close my eyes in utter disbelief when the UFO shot a laser into the ocean and produced a hydrogen explosion.
Well, it IS an alien weapon. Perhaps even a teleported explosive.

this episode is jumbled...somehow...or is this my impression?
I really Skip Homeier. He did a fine job guest starring as villains on the original STAR TREK.
What would be the problem of the flying sub “going down” where exactly did the purse dumping version of Kowalski want to go. No sense makes no sense.
Reminds me of star trek the cage episide
The thing this series did not have that Star Trek has was good philosophy. The other thing like Star Trek & Star Wars was that they had memorable characters that we actually cared about that this series does not seem to have. But it's still a great example of Maritime science fiction. A fabulous sea adventure.
This Only Plays Into The Narrow Minded Stereotyping of Evil Aliens,YUCK !!!
