This is what I call an amazing video! Amazing quality without super annoying loud music, well detailed and clear instructions. You are a true UA-camr my friend
Much better than going through the wheel well! I miss my 14 f150, lift the hood and the grille goes with it, undo a couple bolts and the light assembly comes right out!
My ‘01 Chevy Silverado you pull out two pins the entire light assembly comes out, twist out the the light you need to change, replace bulb, twist back in, set headlight in and replace the two pins, close hood. Done! Literally take 2 minutes. Bet this dudes video footage is 1/10th the time it actually took him to change a lightbulb on that Ford.
Thank you for this!! I had to get back into the headlight housing to modify the low beam after replacing them with LED’s. The LED manufacturer wanted me to get back in there with a Dremel and cut out part of the low beam housing to be able to adjust the beam better. You saved me a lot of time and grief!!
You gotta be f*cling kidding with this ridiculous process just to change a bulb. They obviously want you to have to go to the dealer. Thank God for UA-cam videos like this!!
This is a great video. I have LED headlights that do not allow access to the bulb...to replace them, I believe I need to purchase an entire new headlight housing unit. Do you know if the "plug and play" version of these headlights would work? Or if the plug in is the same with all the headlights for a 2019 Ford F150? Any help is appreciated.
The top of the headlights on my ‘19 contain these holes where you can stick a screwdriver in and turn it to adjust your headlight aim. I found these two be poorly designed and they stripped easy. I’m curious if there’s anything behind the headlight assembly that allowed you to adjust the aim?
Great video. Well done. Most descriptive I have seen so far. I am replacing the headlights on my 2020 in the next few days and this is the method I will use. Thanks!
One thing I ran into while doing the horn swap which is the same process... when you are removing the grill make sure the bottom clears the rubber flap at the bottom. Man was that a nightmare once it got stuck. Thanks for the video
Absolute life saver of a video and very detailed, step by step. Helped me fix a broken headlight without wondering how to do anything. One small suggestion, with the yellow and white fender flare tabs toward the headlight, I went in behind them with needle nose pliers to pop them out, seat them in the fender flare and then push them back in the holes. Couldn't stretch the fender to get them to clip back into there slots. Excellent video.❤
As Somebody who watches a lot of how to vids this one was very Well Done, Hat Tip Sir!!! I am about to do this very job soon and you ended my research on how to do it. Now I feel like I can move forward with confidence.
How easy/hard is it to get the lower part of the fender flare away from the two clips holding it? I’ve seen a couple of videos with the people struggling to pop them free.
Excellant video but my grill was a bit tougher to get put as i had to roll out the rubber out of from one side to the other on the bottom to get grill free to slide out. The headlight on mine were a bit tougher to get out. All this just to change a windshield wiper pump. Also the bottom was a bit tough. But thanks again for the info to get that far.
I think the thumbs down comes from how simple it was in older models 2014 and below than these new ones. Ford had to be a little extra just to change a dammn lightbulb 🤦♂️
I would suggest removing the clips from the fender, attaching them back on and that way you can just plug them back in. Does that make sense? It’s kinda like a backwards way of installing them. That’s how I did it
In reality..I have F-150 2015...when I found how replace light bulbs..I was in shock..can You make simple access...just open hood and replace light 💡...
Thanks for the easy straight forward lesson. I'm replacing stock head and taillights with LED VLAND parts. Taillights simple, headlights ohh. Until this Video! Thx!!!
2020 they attached brake cooling airflow deflector to the light, don’t ask me why, I’m fighting to remove that piece without removing bumper right now UPD: just clips, use your clip tool or flat screwdriver to disconnect air vent from your light. Just pull it down
I had to replace my horns, and this video help me out to get that completed in no time. Very short but specific and concise. Straight to the point, no bs music, long explanation or waist of time…thank you 💯👍🏽
I have one light that I need to replace. This is making me want to purchase a whole new set of LED lights. To avoid repetition for the other lights haha
But if you want to replace your halogen bulbs to leds......this is not the process...you do not have to remove the entire grill and headlight...all of this is done under the wheel well...2 screws and a tab...
You were surprised how easy it was the headlamp assembly popped out AFTER YOU HAD TO BASICALLY TAKE THE ENTIRE EFFING FRONT END APART????? Wow man you must be a real glutton for punishment. Two hours of disassembling/reassembling your truck just to change out a stinking lightbulb. And people say Fords are superior. Pfsh
I don’t think this is easier than going in through the wheel well. I’ve been a Ford truck owner since 1990. This will be my last Ford truck. ( 2019 F150). They just have done the most stupid stuff recently and this is atrocious . Just to change headlights…. My old Rangers, you don’t even need tools for to remove the headlight. Simply a couple of clips. But that all changed on the new Ranger. And the new Ranger is 7/8 the size of an F150. So I just bought an F150 even though I didn’t need the larger truck. This headlight fiasco is the final straw. I won’t be buying another Ford I don’t like what they’re trying to push us towards as customers.
@obsessedwithcars219 the goal went from making cars that were indestructible to making cars that have to go to the dealer every time something minor happens haha

Yeah the more I got into this project the more I missed my older model F150 haha that thing was held together by nothing but 10 and 8mm bolts
Go through the fender well and it takes maybe 10 minutes
You can change the bulbs through your wheel well this just gives you more access.

Ford is absolute trash for making it this difficult to change a headlight bulb. Thanks for the informative video.
It's the headlight lens. The bulbs are easy themselves

Ford really made this a pain in the ass compared to my old chevy. Some engineer probably patted his own back
It's interesting how the newer models are more difficult to tinker with!
