For the first Tip, your better off just selling the arms at location you got it from, in the long run its slower traveling the distance just to sell instead of just killing immediately another to sell. For the last Tip, it will be an invalid option once the cheesing is fixed, making it so in the end. Water being best option for money.
also, if your in layer 5 best bet is to transport crates, gives 130 scrap/salvage for each sell, and for ore, i have no idea because i havent used the method yet...
i found a method that could be better than selling water (and safer) if your good at climbing the endless tower quickly, you can buy the sparth axe at the fissure then sell it at the forge for like a 100 scrap profit. im pretty sure the ammount is the same if you sell it at bulwark but forge is faster. also you dont lose the sparth axe upon dying so that can also speed up the process of selling and obtaining the sparth axe quickly
@@Tinp0tman nope, they didnt i just got unlucky they made it so if you are outside the arena when you kill it it will say the round was rigged and you wont get your money back. i was just having a skill issue :/

The second way is in the cave town, someone can give you a crate. Travel to teich with the crate and find a person that will give you a crate for the crate. Grab that crate, bring it back to the man in the cave village, and boom, 130 or something.
