@@GalacticScaleNoob just say canadien. do you have something against saying people's names properly? what a backhanded way to be disrespectful to someone lmao
My initial thought was "What if every block was wood?" since you wouldn't have access to any biomes or ores, but I think that would just result in you fishing for hours upon hours. What if every block was hellstone? Same fishing result. I think Luminite and Chlorophyte were the magnum opuses of this single block challenge. Everything else will just turn into a fishing jamboree... Except maybe Iron? You would be able to mine early, and I believe hard mode ores can override pre-hard mode ores, so you wouldn't necessarily be required to fish? But late pre-hard mode and late-game hard mode might be more challenging.
not only there's a limit to total amount of chlorophyte in the world, as noted by @xa447, there's also a limit to how much ore can be around any distance, as noticed by @GalacticScaleNoob. I don't recall the exact number, but if you ever seen a Chloro farm, you may have noticed that it is a rare, regular grid at about 11 blocks distance between centers of each. Such farms have to be regularly cleared, as nearly Chlorophyte prevents any more, meanwhile other farm designs, more vast and empty, can be slower and less efficient, while allowing to reduce check-ups (not by that much honesty, the main limiting factor still is time for ore to grow) Edit: oops, mistyped a name Edit 2: goddam, both names?! *That's what staying up way past bedtime does to you folks*
All of the Phantom Hourglass references and music made me very happy this video. It's awesome to know that other people are still thinking about that game today.
@YoruEcchi It's not the first game I ever played, but it was the first game I ever owned that was actually mine, rather than being on an emulator or a family console. I had the game paired with the special Triforce NDS that was gold, and every part of having that was such a thrill as a child. I have yearly replays of it, always to 100%.
the reason why people liked the idea of doing a chlorophyte world is because you're entirely at the mercy of the world gen. there was a lot of points where the game could have just said _"the fun ends here, no armor and no weapons, time to beat skeletron for the actuator"_ or force you to fish for hours on end
i love how your houses always look special... my houses always, and i mean ALWAYS, look the same because i have an optimized building plan where everything is as compact and efficient as possible,
Now for a good challenge, any% no glitches. like just a normal play through with no real restrictions to get a good vanilla baseline down for time. Use a build or builds you think best at the time for each stage, similar to how a casual might.
a little note about the spider minions, it more than likely better to give them actual walls to work with so they don't have to jump all over the place to reach their target, do keep in mind however they tend to not agree with certain platforms so that... complicates things, never did test if they are ok with planter platforms. Oops, I should say, great vid, I like seeing the differences of the two ores lol.
New idea: bosses drop random loot plus a block based on the difficulty of the boss. (King slime drops copper and iron, Eye of chuthulu is copper, iron, and lead, queen bee is hive blocks, evil bosses are demonite, crimtane, WoF is hell stone and a bit of Hardmode ore, mech bosses are Titanium + hallowed bar, Plantera is hallowed bar, lizard power cell, chlorophite, (no jungle key required cause hoiks are cool), golem is just lizard bricks and more power cells, lunatic cultist is the most amount of fragments you can get without being able to craft gear, and moon lord drops 9999 of every ore, plus Luminite.) by the way I sent this to stylus, another UA-camr who does cool challenges hoping you race. Good luck!
advanced hoikatronics are very helpful for getting early loot. Breaking through walls of ebonstone for a vilethorn, cheating in and out of the dungeon for some quick loot. My favourite use is escaping the temple to fight golem in an open arena though.

@@idkcba exactly
damn, saddened?
that's a major boo womp from me
Copper ingots can be stood on, same as any other ingots, i wonder if it could be an interesting idea.
That, or any other similar style block, like maybe platforms, or inverted walls and blocks. (Any blocks are the wall variant, if there is, and walls are blocks, except if the space is obstructed by liquids or chests)
The title: Would Terraria be Easier if Every Block was Chlorophyte?
The thumbnail: NO 😠😠😠
I just thought of this, but for your collect every of [insert Item] you could do paintings
ngl i really appreciate how much effort you put into your music list in the description, most people dont even tell you their music
You're so great for listing and time stamping the music you use i appreciate it
Wait can't you just hoik through all the walls?
Wait why does hoik have this search thing near it?
Now i'm interested in seeing how you will do normal playthrough :D
Thanks for video!
I'll have to admit, after seeing your luminite video, I just burst out laughing when I saw the title of this one.
I do love that this run gets to show off some very simple hoiks, they’re easily my favorite trick in terraria.
I haven’t watched the entire video yet but you can get infinite stone if you buy furnaces from the merchant and shimmer them
The merchant only sells them in a jungle
calamity with the whole world being luminite

Do king midas challenge - everything you touch turns to gold
No.... NOO. That's like that world I told you about. The one I was forced to give up on. 😢 The PTSD, Canadien. 😂
Who tf is Kenadien and why is everyone always talking about him.
There's no way that's his REAL LIFE name right?
@@GalacticScaleNoob wand of sparking (the channel) is 2 people, canadien and deadbug. canadien makes most of the videos
Deadbug doesn't make videos anymore so it's just Canadien these days. Deadbug has left us for the real world jobs now.
I hope he's doing well wherever he is.
@@GalacticScaleNoob just say canadien.
do you have something against saying people's names properly?
what a backhanded way to be disrespectful to someone lmao
@@Aurosteel I love it when Randoms try to be right or mean or smth on a convo that already finished
If you leave a Terraria world running for years and years, will the entire jungle eventually look like this?
No, chlorophyte will stop growing when there are too many nearby chlorophyte ores. It would work this way before the patch, however.
No, there is a limit to the amount that can exist in a world at a time. That's why if you wanna make a farm you need to full clear the jungle
@@xa447 lol we replied at the same time and didn't see each other because of comment lag
not only there's a limit to total amount of chlorophyte in the world, as noted by @xa447, there's also a limit to how much ore can be around any distance, as noticed by @GalacticScaleNoob.
I don't recall the exact number, but if you ever seen a Chloro farm, you may have noticed that it is a rare, regular grid at about 11 blocks distance between centers of each. Such farms have to be regularly cleared, as nearly Chlorophyte prevents any more, meanwhile other farm designs, more vast and empty, can be slower and less efficient, while allowing to reduce check-ups (not by that much honesty, the main limiting factor still is time for ore to grow)
Edit: oops, mistyped a name
Edit 2: goddam, both names?! *That's what staying up way past bedtime does to you folks*
All of the Phantom Hourglass references and music made me very happy this video. It's awesome to know that other people are still thinking about that game today.
Literally the first game I ever played so nostalgia hit like a proverbial ton of bricks for me
@YoruEcchi It's not the first game I ever played, but it was the first game I ever owned that was actually mine, rather than being on an emulator or a family console. I had the game paired with the special Triforce NDS that was gold, and every part of having that was such a thrill as a child. I have yearly replays of it, always to 100%.
Hollow ore next I’m guessing 🤷♂️
Whole world empty? Or Calamity mod?
the reason why people liked the idea of doing a chlorophyte world is because you're entirely at the mercy of the world gen. there was a lot of points where the game could have just said _"the fun ends here, no armor and no weapons, time to beat skeletron for the actuator"_ or force you to fish for hours on end
Terraria for vegans. 🥦
27:54 Oh, so that’s what the Spelunker Glowstick’s radius looks like. Neat.
The only logical step forward from this is the whole world is hellstone
i wonder how hard would it be to complete a world with no chests in it or even without fishing for crates
22:59 metal detector at its finest
Terraria but the world is 100% full of random blocks. Every single tile is a random block, no empty space except spawn (and furniture).
i love how your houses always look special... my houses always, and i mean ALWAYS, look the same because i have an optimized building plan where everything is as compact and efficient as possible,
Now for a good challenge, any% no glitches. like just a normal play through with no real restrictions to get a good vanilla baseline down for time. Use a build or builds you think best at the time for each stage, similar to how a casual might.
1000+ hours in this game and I had no idea Chlorophyte purified blocks and converted dirt into mud, that makes perfect sense lore wise though
'terraria calamity with every block as eulibloom ore'
28:56 also fun fact jungles have a higher mop cap than the rest of the bioms for some reason ? i'll never know why
"Expert mod worlds usually take 12-15h"
Me on normal only entering hardmode after 10 hours:
I waited 30 hours to enter Hardmode since I need the MoneY trough, I DIDNT GET THE PIGGYBBANK
a little note about the spider minions, it more than likely better to give them actual walls to work with so they don't have to jump all over the place to reach their target, do keep in mind however they tend to not agree with certain platforms so that... complicates things, never did test if they are ok with planter platforms.
