Slight Correction - A Profile ( Amp mic'd with a certain Mic, with a certain Cabinet and in a certain room ) PLUS effects is what is called " Rig ". Not Profile as I realize I said in the video ( When I wanted to say Rig ). Rig = Profile + Added effects. Thanks!
As a software engineer for more than two decades, I have to admire the way Kemper has stood by their product and iterated on it rather than releasing new versions that make the old one obsolete. It shows respect for their customers.
@@rogershermanmusic True! But in my opinion they have not been as transformational as the ones from Kemper. They have not changed the unit so dramatically for good as the updates from Kemper did.… thanks for watching!
@@sboy1955 dude i don't own either unit. I am an impartial third party. Put down your silly Helix fan torch and pitchfork. The Kemper came out in 2008. That's a remarkably long time to stand by a digital product. It's almost as old as the original iPhone. Yes Line6 is standing by the Helix but they kind of have to because the Kemper came out 7 years before them so it would look really bad if they didn't.
@@CheddarKungPao Alex did nothing but lay out facts. You may well not own either, but you just implied that Line 6 is only doing the amazing work they're doing so they don't "look bad". That's not a valid argument.
it's amazing you cn create and edit those profiles and instantly have them when you want them. I don't know much about the newer technology kemper and helix produce but know enough to know if you're a full time player one or both of them is a must! thanks for sharing this stuff Cesar, not just this video but all of them over the years! appreciated bro!
Well my friend, another interesting video. I don't have either unit, I have a Headrush Pedalboard instead, and have enjoyed using it since I received it last year. I have watched several videos of both the Kemper and the Helix over the last few years, and find them both handy for their uses. You do a good job at putting both units thru their paces. You seem to play in a manner that keeps us from hearing how out of tune you think you are. Your playing always sounds good and in tune to me. I will probably never have either Kemper or Helix, I'm sure I will enjoy both units as you use them in your videos. Thanks again for another great video Sir!
Thanks to you for your continuous support my friend! The Headrush is a very nice piece of gear indeed, I think at the level of the Helix tone - wise. I am sure you are enjoying it!
KOOL video Cesar. I'll be revisiting this to see the comments. Should be as interesting as this video. I have the Helix and will need another 10 years if I'm still around to delve into 1/2 of what it can do, LOL No interest in the Kemper but realize it's a GREAT piece of equipment. BTW, I'm one of those guys ALWAYS outta tune 🙃
See, Don…I was not including you in the Brotherhood of the Out of Tune ( it has a couple of very prominent members LOL ). I do not hear you out of tune in your jams. BTW, Helix is Great! Simply, two very different animals and if forced to keep only one I’ll keep my Kemper. But I will continue using Helix, specially playing live and in “ low noise” stage situations… Thanks for watching man!
Hi César, very interesting video! Now that you mentioned you've been using these two processors, I haven't seen a real amp in your videos... I suppose you use only the toaster and the Helix... Un abrazo!
Hola Antonio! I have kept two tube amps - a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister and my Silver Jubilee. But I have to admit that I don’t use them a lot. And in the channel all is Kemper and Helix since 2017. Before, I was using AmpliTube and TH3 / TH4 through my MacBook ( I started the channel while I was living in China ). Thanks so much !
Awesome bits of kit I have no doubt, do the amp profiles match the sound of tube amps. It seems these days valves are really old fashioned but people won’t let them go. After all no one has an old valve TV or radio do they? 😳👍
Hi Cesar…your video about baking tracks and recording your guitar you posted 3 years ago gave me some information to help answer my question below I asked 2 days ago about setting up a home studio. I will continue researching the subject to see if the Reaper is similar to ProLogic. I know you must be very busy, so no worries no hurries, but if you ever find time to suggest anything that might help me I would be very grateful. Again no worries no hurries…It is more important that you spend time with family and friends, play your guitar and have fun, and make more creative inspiring and helpful videos before answering me. Shine On Bright Spirit, Tony I will continue researching the subject.
I’ve always like the sound quality of the Kemper better then the Helix but it does take some time to learn how to dial in a good sound The helix in the other hand is not bad but the raw or real tone quality of any amp is just not there . what is there is how fast you can start using the unit , it is very user friendly…..
Hi César, I know you use Kemper and Helix but these are for a higher league. Do you have any opinion for the NUX MG30 for a beginner like me. Thanks in advance for your reply. 🎸🎶
Hi Toni! Thanks for watching! There are several products out there at a very affordable price and the ratio quality / price is massive. The NUX MG30 is one of them - I have not payed through one but two of my students have the unit and for the price is great. My only advice is watch out the gain - the patches I have listened to seem to be a bit overdone in gain.
Cesar please excuse my ignorance but I have just returned to the USA after living without electricity in Ecuador for over 2 decades. I know very little about tech-no-logical devices. I am trying to set up a home recording room and wondering how to best record my Alhambra 9p I am hoping to buy soon. I am considering to buy ProLogic for my computer. I compose mostly jazz/Latin/funk style songs. My main instrument is piano/keyboard but equally play finger style guitar on classical guitar. Any suggestions about interface, preamp, mics, etc? I would sincerely appreciate any suggestions you may have and be grateful for you taking time to answer if you can find the time. Keep on smiling and sharing your wisdom with us all…Tony

To this point, you could say the same about Line 6 and the Helix - they've released so many updates in the what, 5 years since it's release?

Hehehe - you are talking to a man who named his dog Bender! Cheers and thanks for watching!
As the Kemper have been out for 10 years,, it looks like they over build it when they made it.
Classic German engineering.
what the song intro?
