Hi Phil I found as always your Walk around Beaches Road area very interesting Madalin Carol's name I was not familiar with until you said what Film she stared in .I like the old Lodge on the old entrance to Dartmouth Park and the old sweet factory and all the other Terrest houses all the best Paul
Done it again Phil with Beeches Road ,Dad was a bus driver and Mom was a conductress (how they met) and I have vague memories of going to the Oakdale club in the early 60's as all the bus crews used to use it.
My sister lived in Beeches road early to mid 80s in a top floor flat, the rent was really cheap because the building was condemned. The roof fell in but luckily her and her boyfriend were out at the time. Came home to a roof in the living room 😂
This is not the first time ive heard this kind of thing happen in West Brom Pete, it seems West Brom has its fair share of dodgy landlords. Many thanks
