GT or Pint X? Comment below!
so I own a pintx but I have more than one friend that owns MULTIPLE GTs..so, when we ride, its always usually an option for me to save my mileage, and use one of their GTs ( which I def do sometimes!) but....that being said. I have MUCH MORE FUN riding my PINTX. If ALL your gonna ride is trails get a GT. but...if you want an all around, city tripper, trail ripper, get a PINTX!
@@deltax7159 well said 👏
Why not both?

I'm 70 years old and I love my new OW GT!
Never even rode any kind of skateboard before... took me a few trys, but now I can ride it all over the place!!
I'm 97. Love doing lip slides on my highly modded OW bro!
😮 I’m 43 and you guys inspire me ❤ Need my wallet to be on the same page tho 😂
I was about to ask, I'm 51.."do I buy one" then I saw your post
I did lower my psi down to only 9 lbs...
Gave it better stability and made the bumps not so hard...
I try to keep it under 18mph,.. still, my top speed is 21.6 mph.
I know really should wear the helmet and stuff,.. and I have one... just never put it on. All that padding seems like it would restrict movement...
I may change my mind next time I come close to a fall..
Got 191 miles on it so far without injuries..(knock on wood.)
I am 49 years old and have wanted one since the first time I saw one! I’m not physically active. Do you think I would have the strength to ride it?
I have 3300 miles on my Pint X now and It's still going strong with no issues so far.
Glad to hear it James!
Have you wiped out
@@AECreations09 A few times but nothing too serious. That board have over 5k miles and I have since upgraded to a GTS.
Used XR! I like to be able to change out my battery in a few years when it dies, thanks. (and no, shipping a one wheel from out of country to change a wearable part is not practical or economical)
I bought the GT model, so I could have the most range, I'm also a heavy-set guy, I drive an 18-wheeler all over the U.S. and this helps me get out away from the truck and see the sites wherever I park, am also filming my runs with the Insta360 One X2 to post onto youtube in the near future.
Super badass! Can’t wait to see your rides!
I knew he'd never record himself riding a OneWheel 💀
I'm still hoping to buy the Pint X but idk if I should just buy the GT 😁
@@moonwolf6341if you don’t need extreme range, the pint is perfect. I love mine
Man you ain't no posting nothing quit lying foo. It's been nearly a year I'm sure you don't even have a GT model sir.
I think that the pintX body is the peak one wheel form. If the pintX could remain the same weight and gain all of the GT’s features and customizations like top speed, treaded tire, range, foot pads, and digital shaping there would be no question. Obviously that isn’t possible yet.
The facts for now is that the GT is TOO HEAVY to transport on errands comfortably. The only way to justify the GT for most people is if it’s main purpose of being used is the range and power. Otherwise the pintX has the most functionality of any one wheel ever. THE PINTX IS THE FLAGSHIP IN MY OPINION WHILE THE GT IS A SPECIALTY ITEM FOR UNIQUE NICHES.
I chose the Pint X because i mainly do street riding. I am 5’9 and 185 pounds.
18 miles is enough for me because when i get to about 9 miles, foot fatigue sets in and my right foot is numb. By the time i get to about 16 miles of riding; I’ve had my fun and it’s time to go home usually.
My cruise speed on the street is about 8-13 miles and the pint x handles it well. Anything above that i feel unsafe because the winds drag intensifies on your body and instinctively i get more cautious about the potential fall.
Occasionally, i get on grass and dirt roads and put it on Skyline X. The pint x hasn’t let me down with regards to power. I am the one controlling my speed because i don’t want to eat it; if i wanted to speed up i know the pint x can do it.
Overall, the pint x has done everything that i have asked of it. My only complaint about it is losing 1/2 inch of clearance. That half inch is a big deal when going uphill which is why i installed Land Surf fangs. I got that 1/2 clearance back along with a front handle and wheels for the nosedive. It also needs more aggressive grip tape and brighter lights.
I have thought about selling my Pint X to get the GT because its the top of the line with power, range and just the prestige of it being the flagship.
But do i really need it? Probably not, but i just want to have it.
Nice breakdown... Pint X certainly checks a lot of boxes. A classic NEED vs. WANT situation.
The fangs are worthless in dirt but sell it and get a unicycle. Then all those worries are gone forever. Think 40mph for 100 mi range. Yeah it’s amazing.
@@quantumtechcrypto7080 go with carbon smith
@@quantumtechcrypto7080 nah, unicycles are silly. Buy a Triumph Bonnie T100. Think 120mph for 200 miles. Yeah, it’s amazing.
I thought this was a surprisingly honest and thoughtful comparison and i think its has helped me figure out what I want out of my next OW.
1000 miles on my GT and it’s amazing. The only thing is that I come from a pint and the acceleration of the GT feels way slower and nose heavy. When you get it up to speed though, it feels like butter. You don’t feel the instant speed that I feel some people are talking about, but it never feels like you’re never going to be thrown off.(unless you’re going 30mph)
I've been itching to get a Pint when I first heard of it almost 2 years back, but ever since the Pint X came out, that has been the sweet spot between price and range capability of the XR. Never ridden a Onewheel b4, I've just been obsessed with these things for 3 years now, hope this year's the year.
It's the year! Get's you outside more, moving, a little wind on the face. It's good for the soul.
I have owned a pint and I now own a pint x and can safely say the Pint x is well worth the extra 350
Try the euc it’s far better in every way. If you do get a onewheel don’t get the pint the range is far to low and you’ll be cutting your trips short it carrying it.
Will be WELL worth the money my friend. Just like they said, good for the soul.
I recommend searching the design flaws before purchasing these! You’ve been warned
I got the GT with the bundle. I never did any board sports prior.
Don't regret it at all. Every day I'm hurting to go for a ride.
There's a learning curve, but every ride I get new skills and strengthen my bond with the board. You know what I'm talking about.
It is a process to become ONE with the WHEEL.
I'd love a Pint X or a GT. I have a Pint and I'm so ready for more range!
Yea Pint is awesome but you end up wanting MORE! Time to upgrade maybe.
Get a pintX. You will not regret it
I wouldn't buy a one wheel with how hard they are to work on now. When I bought my pint you could swap in new batteries, That's no longer an option. Why would I spend that much money on something I can't fix
Is it a molded 1 piece construction?
He doesn't know, he don't have one😅😂@@The88ninjas
They really aren’t that hard to work on….
@ashtianresburg5349 they brick your board if you make any internal mods
Matt typed this from his unserviceable iPhone
“I just got a very warm blanket wrapped around me.” Lol I know who I wanna hang out with. Very accurate description of something enjoyable.
Got a Pint X for my first OneWheel. Threw a Burris Treaded tire on it about 3 weeks ago and it was a game changer for running it off-road. Overall I love it, but I'm looking at a picking up a GT as well. Probably with a slick and then mounting a TFL Enduro on it. Pint X I think makes more sense for a daily board, in the city, stopping for food/errands and the GT makes more sense for a dedicated off road/trail board. GT probably makes more sense if you're bigger/heavier and/or want to carry a pack with 20+ lbs of stuff with you as well. Tried riding the Pint X with a pack of 20lbs+ of stuff (I myself am around 200-205lbs) and I noticed a huge difference in the boards responsiveness and power just having an additional 20lbs on me.
I love my GT 650 miles in. The greatest invention since the cell phone....I sold my XR instantly afterwards.
Cell phones are alright and all but they've never given us pure joy
The extra range and torque is nice. But for everyday life the Pint X is better
It's way cheaper, I got mine for $950 on eBay with only 100 miles.
The speed is basically the same, and I've never had it run out of battery
GT- if you’re going off-road trail riding with some significant, steep uphills the added torque of the gt is a must. I also have the XR and trails on which it struggled the gt excels.
THAT's some good feedback. (I was wondering how it compared to my XR)
The only thing I wish for the Pint X to have is a handle bumper. Like the GT and the XR.
You can buy a plate for underneath for it to have one. Check out fangs for a pint x, it'll give it that front handle too.
I have Pint X and XR. Pint X, especially on Skyline, almost feels like a GT (I've ridden a friends') to me, but I prefer riding my XR over my Pint X because I feel like the tricks I can do are a lot more plentiful and the charging time is a lot more manageable. The Pint X takes 2.5-5 hours to fully charge based on if you're using a slow charger or ultracharger. The XR will charge in 1.5-0.75 hours based on if you have the home or hypercharger. For the riding I do, the XR makes the most sense to me for it's price compared to it's charging time, as well as stability and feel.
I bought a Pint X as a 2nd board though too, and I must say, I feel a lot more comfortable on that board if I'm climbing hills or going over verrrry uneven terrain, and it seems the battery does end up lasting a little bit longer than my XR, but not enough to really choose one board over the other.
Honestly, if you can find an XR for around $1400, definitely get that over the Pint X. I wouldn't rule out XRs over $1400, but they would have to come with more attachments/a fast charger/extra things to make it more worth the cost.
I found my main XR for $1400 and it came with a Hyper Charger, a custom back foodpad and new griptape, a carbon fiber fender, a bunch of extra power button covers and charging plugs, a onewheel logo popsocket, plenty of stickers and even a maghandle, which I eventually removed because it was rattling, all with only 132 miles on the board. You can definitely find great deals like this one on craigslist or even eBay (be cautious for scams on eBay).
If you don't want to deal with any of the searching though, you won't be wrong for picking up a Pint X. I recommend looking for a onewheel dealer near where you live on the onewheel website, and buying one in person instead of waiting for shipping. They usually have a few attachments such as fenders and charge port plugs. They won't charge any more than FM does and you'll be able to get a board in your hands a lot sooner.
Big fan of the GT. Was thinking of getting the Pint X and leaving it in my Model Y to cruise through town when I’m at the Supercharger.
The Pint X in the truck or frunk is such a game changer. Changes the parking equation.
I got both! GT for me and Pint X for the love of my life and best friend who has never ridden any kind of board before. I taught her to ride solo in two 20 minute sessions.
And?!? Which do y’all like better? 😅
@@NM-fn3rc I like them both for what they offer. The GT's power, torque, size and feel are awesome. I went with the treaded tire as I love going off road. The 32 mile range means less charging and more floating. The Pint X is easier to carry up and down 3 flights of stairs. The size, smoothness and carvability of the Pint X is just buttery smooth. I love the concave footpads of the GT. The flat footpads on the Pint X do lead to some foot fatigue. If I had to pick one I would probably just go with Pint X due to price and reduced weight.
Been riding these for 4 years now. I love my GT.
Just ordered my GT yesterday. Can’t wait to get it 🥳
I love the Pint x for doing tricks with its nimble turning and lightweight feel I can really get it high in the air. But the GT has that extra power and speed for trails or getting further around town for the entire day without recharging.
The range is a bit of a game changer if you're trying to ride all day.
@@Onewheeldid you guys ever address the wiring harness pinching in the pint x?
Or should I open it up and make sure it’s not damaged then notch out the plastic to make room?
I just bought it about a week ago.
So far it’s awesome, got one for my wife also. She loves it.
I was looking at a gt but I heard they’ve had problems too.
Gonna be ordering a GT next week. Been watching videos over it non stop lol can't wait to ride.
Won’t regret it.
I appreciate this kind of video. I dont think I'm going to become a pro onewheel racer (yet) so the pint x looks more attractive for daily use, walking the dog etc. Just wish there was more availability in Canada, like approved vendors for a Nova Scotian like myself.
I just got my pint three and a half months ago. I'm selling already. These things are amazing, and I'm going to get that flagship GT baby.
@Onewheel Are we going to be getting Custom Shaping sometime this year?
Just got a OneWheel Pint a week ago, been trying to learn to ride it slowly. Still scares me going to fast and wobbling. Not gonna give up tho. So much fun. 😀
The wobbles could be highly affected by your air pressure. I like to ride at about 15.5 PSI and I'm about 180 lb guy. If I put it too high or too low around there I get the wobbles. But at 15.5 I can fly.
The GT is amazing! So butter! In terrain and smooth asphalt. Get the lovehump back footpad as well!
You’re bold for wearing shorts, props to you! Good review man!! You got me convinced.
With all the justified fuzz around the GT I pulled the trigger on a Pint X as it still allows certain hings like battery change without wiping the board, but fingers crossed I'll not have to service anything on it anytime soon.
Man loving another man for a good ride together.
My first OW was the Pint OG (super cool)… But now I have the GT (yellow as well) and there’s no coming back.. GT is POWER ⚡️🔥⚡️🔥
Forsure. Extra torque does help a lot especially for bigger riders.
XR LIFE BABY! the sports sedan of Onewheels 🙌 great in any situation
I happily waited for the onewheel XR to be released and bought it. Plan to keep for a long time. My brother just bought a GT, the pint X looks sweet too
What a great video to give the pros and cons of each.
Thanks Scot!
Well I was like I need a gt but now the x is definitely enough and I'm not driving a Hummer. I skate and snowboard. Glad I found this video and can save $800 bucks haha
I've modded my Pint X with a treaded tyre, extended rear footpad, flight-fins, and fangs, and it is super fun to rip on trails. Loads of ways to position my feet on the board, and loads of ways to approach a ride. Wear lots of protection. You WILL pay the boardsport tax and you will pay in blood. Go into it knowing that and you won't give up when it eventually happens.
I had my first spill on the Pint X at around 17-18mph riding through pushback and nose diving back around May. I was wearing a helmet, knee pads, motorcycle gloves and wrist guards. The right wrist guard/splint too a big hit with a pretty big gouge. The only thing I wasn't wearing were elbow pads... Every ride since, I've worn elbow pads too, lol. If I wasn't wearing what I was, that wouldn't have been a fun fall. I've thought about fangs, but I sort of want to board clearance for off-road/trail riding too.
@@8Rider6 The fangs have better clearance because it's the same profile as a pint. So if you want clearance, get some fangs.
@@TryNotToDieOmega Do they? It actually replaces the front bumper with a lower profile one then? Been a while since I looked at it.
@@8Rider6 yes indeed. Replaces front Pint X bumper with one with the same profile as a Pint. More clearance.
Love how FM hasn’t responded to this lol
I have both, GT all way. I only take the Pint X if my space is limited at the place I am headed.
However, it's best to get 2 of any so you can ride with a friend, or in my case, teach your girlfriend :)
Fax! Riding with a homie is always more fun.
I personally like the pint x because at 14 I weigh 100 lbs and the pint is so easy to control the gt whenever I hit bumps I can barely stay on the bored so I think its weight but will probably buy the gt in the future
Dude im 14 and Im like 85 lbs and sometimes my pint can't even notice im on the sensors so that's a problem for me, but it is what it is sometimes.
IMO, as I've had all 3 boards, the Pint is your first gf but always leaves you wanting more (more power, more range)... The PintX and GT are equally "rippable" but just different sizes. So if you're less than 185 lbs, go for the PintX, if you're more, then you'll love the GT.
Is that an emoji 'dab'?
@@Onewheel dab on em
There's no coffee shop at the trailhead. GT all day!
lol 🤣
I have a GT.
The 32 miles range is better for 2 reason.
1. the overall range. duh.
2. LAZYNESS. 32 miles means i can charge the board less in-between use, which directly saves the battery longer overall due to less charges. Also pairs with my lazy self.
These things look so fun I wish I could get one this second
You can buy one on monthly payments.... that's how I got my new GT.
Receiving my one wheel GT in the mail tomorrow, I'm very thankful to future motion for listening to the community and working hard to provide a Solid board. Thank yall! I'm stoked to float
Update: this thing is just like shredding powder! I plan to record and upload some good videos. Thank you guys for designing something so enjoyable! Never knew what I was missing out on
2:31 so they're filing with insta 360 x3 with the invisible selfie stick? Is the sound quality also coming from it as well?
I use to own all of them. Kept my XR and GT. But the pintx is really my favorite feel. Range is fine it’s the top end speed and the push back that kills the vibe at times, but With that said the pintx is still my favorite. My smile is bigger on a pintx 😊
Hot take but I know some folks here in the office that agree. There's something extra zippy about that Pint X riding experience.
I get so annoyed at these wannabe speed junkies. That pushback is your friend. Its there to save your life.
Weak pushback is hard to feel leading to nosedives because you didn’t feel the pushback.
@@albienb6533 For the record I'm no speed junkie. I'm just use to the speed of the GT and XR and I have grown accustomed to both of their push back with about 5000miles of riding. I understand what the pushback is for, but the pint/pintx pushback can be very abrupt causing a jerky motion when in a carve and it is at times unsettling. Float on my Friend.
Been watching one of your videos for a while finally made the commitment in order a GT can’t wait 🤗
Let's Go!!!!
I always wanted a and still want a onewheel but the price always is the problem 🥺🥺
I am so glad one wheeling is growing. i made a channel (this one) and im trying to grow one wheeling myself.
Thanks for this video! It'll be my first OneWheel and it sounds like the Pint X is for me baby!
Pint X!!!
I love the GT being 6”3 my feet don’t feel very comfortable on the pint x! I will always be in love with my GT and I am a precious XR owner but appreciating the GT’s range and torque it’s too much fun. You can’t go wrong ordering a onewheel. I will always be such a big fan and supporter.
Glad to hear it Chad!
Agreed. I'm 6'4, 235 and have a size 14 shoe. GT all the way!
He carved so hard he drifred. That was intense, bro 🤙🏿
I drift in leaves on the pint x
What about us larger chonkers. What is the weight limit on these?
600miles on my pint x, love it. Been running 90% trails and single track for the past 3 or 400 miles. Pint X hasn't let me down yet and I don't have any issue keeping up with GTs and XRs out there.
Don't sleep on those Pint X's off-road
Will you guys be releasing new onewheels in the near future?
I’m too broke to buy one and I’ve watched so many of your videos
I love both I was 10 when I saved up enough mowing money to buy i pint i rode 500 miles in a week and from that week on I have loved all Onewheel I now own a pint x and pint and love them both but I do have to go with pint x.
This is our favorite comment!
I can not imagine saving 1000 at age 10 you are either very good at saving money or very good at making money (or have very generous and rich parents)
@@jacob3761 I mow pastures out in the middle of no where it usually take me 4 hours to mow each one with an old broke down mower I saved all summer long and it was definitely worth the saving I also have very kind neighbours when paying my parents are definitely not rich. We are very low end and they do not support my spendings
Obsessed with my pintX, firmware update coming?? Would b even MORE amazing with GT style pushback
Make it a VESC and you can upgrade the battery and control all of the settings.
I’ve owned the GT and I am on the bigger side. GT all the way. Now if we can just get an option for a wider footpad (size 14 shoe) and some 2XL and 3XL merch in the OW store.
can we get some custom shaping for those of us preferring the pint x? : ]
GT doesn’t even have custom shaping yet 😂
He chose Pint X and you could tell marketing was like 👀
Amazing informative video! Might consider switching from electric scooters to one wheels!!!
Hey, question… I can ride switch on my XR (in other words, it'll go forward and backwards). My Pint won't. I'm assuming the GT will. ... What about the Pint X? Can it go in reverse?
can they please make a back to the future two hoverboard version
I’m new on this one wheel and I’m loving it so far but my question is what cámara or stick or app y’all use that looks so cool, like someone else is recording you?
Thanks
Love my Onewheel!
I'm on the larger side at 6'4 215lbs will the pint x be fine for me or should I invest in a gt
I got the pint X and have put 70ish miles on it a couple weeks in and couldn’t be happier with it. Never did board sports before, put on knee/elbow pads helmet for first ride, really easy to pick up basics, but lots more you can do with it
Glad to hear it

Is the wheel pneumatic, if so any issues with durability or wheel losing air?
I received my pint X on Monday, today (Saturday) I bought my GT.
It sucks that the prices are so high. If you want to start and you are not sure.. 1800 2000 is a lot of money
You can get a new Onewheel Pint for $1050 or even as low as $58/month!
@@Onewheel not in Europe 🤣
is there an upper weight limit for either of these to work well?
GT performance in a pint would be next level.
id love to see them make a wheel twice as big at least, so i can actually go through the woods that has long forgotten trails.
Great video just what I need to see
Ordered a GT and customs wont accept it until it is proven safe in NZ I missed out but my other friend didnt, they returned it to the company which I think theres an update right?
How is it on the knees for just cruising around.?
I weigh 220 and am 6’1” could the pint x support me reliably?
Once you’re spending 1400 bucks, honestly, nut up and spend an extra 800 for the GT. Think about it, read the forums, I’ve never heard of anyone going from a gt to pint x; lots of people (most people) who started on a pint x have upgraded or want to upgrade to a GT. Definitely sticking with my GT.
Now that being said, get the price of the pint x down to 1000, maybe 1100 of so, the price difference is enough to actually make a solid case for the pint x 🤙
Onewheel shock absorber would be great relief on the feet.
Alright I’m thinking of purchasing one of these. But I’m definitely not athletic and In now way am I’m going skate boarding or snowboarding. Is this something I’d still be able to use
Yep it is. Takes a week to get the hang of it. Practice in grass and big parking lot
Arg! Still undecided! I do 85% downtown big city paved riding/commuting with modest hills and a light bag. But that 15% I do beaches and light off-road trails. What do y’all think?! PintX?! Help meeee 😅
City riding - Pint X for sure. We love the GT but in scenarios where you'll be getting off often and potentially carrying into places, the form factor of a Pint X shines. Unless you really need and want 32 miles in range and are a bigger rider, than GT may be the way to go.
I'd love to ride my GT right now 👀
Pint X tire is 4.5 inches wide. GT's tire is 6.5 inches wide. Pint X is not fit for anything other than flat surfaces. Just buy the GT, it's the safest choice. Especially for a first-timer.
I wish I had one…they’re just too expensive I would like to drive somewhere like a city or a trail and take my board
Are the GT's still having issues?
Yes
Gt👍
hey guys i would love to do a review for the pint x so i can help other people choose a option i would love one of them but there to high for me to get
3:57 is my concern w/ one wheels
If you are over 80kg and have big feet you should buy GT
i want so bad but they cost to much 😢😢
