best defence to the movie, befor John-wick could really act, he already had a hit-squad at his house, he was provoked.
haha i guess, maybe thru the characters eye, the setting was a guarded safehouse, everyone was a threat, the kid on the xbox probably had his gun right near by, was still a threat to him and would stop him from reaching his target.
That kid was in his house with the son when they killed his dog. Hence he had to die too.

I'm just glad to see Keanu so happy and energized in this interview, he's smiling from ear to ear, he's being playful and joking around. All the past few movies he's involved in he's just happy to be lending his support to have these films produced and made. Finally we have another franchise for him to just have fun. Keanu Reeves is a treasure, I've read about his life (very tragic in some parts by the way), he's one of those down to eath celebrities that still takes the subway, he doesn't live the high life like one maybe could expect from a big celebrity, it's really humbling to know about him.

I dunno, Nolan does notoriously dark movies and Reeves is no stranger to those. Also, for some reason a Keanu Reeves Inception doesn't sound too bad...
That would be awesome but Since Keanu isnt British, I doubt that would happen. But I hope to see Keanu in some great actions movies in the future as well besides the John Wick franchise.

Keanu seems like such a chill and cool guy to hang out with. so cool that you got to interview him!
People don't realize how good a person Keanu is. He stays out of the limelight, gives to charity and has been known to take pay cuts in movies so the rest of the cast and crew can get paid more. I've never heard of any controversy about him. He is also very proficient in firearms and martial arts.

...then Francis murdered his best friend. Wick couldn't let that slide.
There are other examples as well. He could easily take out the cops who visit him due a noise complaint, but instead sends them on their way. He gives a night club guard who he is on a first name basis with the decision to leave early. He doesn't kill the priest or the two clerks in the Church, even though they knowingly worked for the mafia.
@@Former_Halo_Fan actually, Francis never killed anyone, he actually did kill the priest because he made him open the vault knowing viggo would shoot him, and he murdered one of the clerks when the guy tried getting up. He barrel tapped him and shot him in the face after the priest told him that John couldn't scare him into opening the vault.

God, I adore Keanu. I'm so glad that John Wick seems to be his big hit after so long. He deserves all the best. I feel for him for some reason. He never comes across as crazy or a dick or whatever. Just a genuine, nice man trying to do what he loves.

That was actually surprisingly good. Most of the interviews I've seen UA-camrs (and even mainstream sources) do with actors are really, really cringy, but you guys managed to ask questions that were genuinely funny, clever, and sparked good reactions from the cast and crew.

keanu has been one of my if not the most favorite actors in hollywood. the guy is just so friendly and funny, doesn't get triggered easily and so humble - like no superiority complex.
and this movie touches pretty close to home for him - losing his wife after she gave birth to a stillborn child and never remarried.
considering how much he's gone through, after all that, he's still kicking, and moving forward with his life, and heck - he looks just as good as ever and funny too :D
im totally in for john wick 2, heck he can do 10 more of these and ill watch each and every one of them lol

That said, there was a very interesting German interview I found, and if it was translated back into English accurately, it seems to suggest that they actually had gotten back together after their previous breakup and were closely involved again at the time of her death rather than simply being friends and exes.
If so, that means the loss must have been even harder on him than we previously realized!
I know I got actual chills when I first started hearing about the connection between _John Wick_ and what Keanu has gone through in real life, because it makes that already incredible film all the more meaningful. What’s more, in the interviews I’ve been watching about the movie, when Reeves is asked what about the character appeals to him, the grief and suffering John Wick experiences are some of the primary things he lists. And then also how the character gets back up and keeps fighting even through the hardship. So it really sounds like he connects on a personal level with what he sees in the character. Indeed, he was involved in revising and developing the script over time himself, before it was even sent to the directors.
I agree with you, by the way-Reeves seems to be a truly awesome guy: funny, witty, intelligent, analytical, kind, generous, honest, and very humble. Plus he’s shown a lot of resilience after the difficulties of his upbringing and the multiple personal losses he’s experienced.
And I’m so glad that John Wick & John Wick: Chapter 2 have been so well received, and I hope that the third film is at least as beloved, if not more so! Great to see things go so well for him, and how much he enjoys playing the character, plus I adore the series myself as an audience member.
Now all that’s left is for him to hopefully get his second chance at being a father and husband in real life, maybe! (-: Certainly hoping so!
