My wife and I love the game. It works exactly as shown in the review. Maybe it is worth mentioning that we both are 55+ It is a real pleasure to sit on the couch and play the game together on a big screen. We are also sure that there will be people who will be overstrained with all the possible options.
This is the reason I’m going to purchase this game. So I can play co-op with my GF. We both love Witcher, Tomb Raider and Skyrim so I’m not sure how playing a “turn-based” game will be? The last RPG game I tried to play was ‘Parasite Eve’😂
I know this might seem like a minor thing, somehow, but full voice acting is such a wonderful addition to the game here. Just because you want to go for an oldschool feel doesn't mean presentation should suffer, and great voice acting adds so much to any type of game that really, it's not even funny. Especially a game that has a crapton of dialogue, like an oldschool RPG worth it's salt.....
The fact that they gave us a free upgrade on PC made me fall in love with the developer so much more. Not many developers/publishers would add so much to a game and not ask for money
I'm not a fan of turn-based games but once I gave this game a try (because it was on sale), I couldn't stop playing. It was that good that it kept my attention throughout the game, someone who doesn't like turn-based games. Over time I learned to like the game mechanics. I beat it a couple of times with different play style and each time was very memorable. This game is one of those that will leave an everlasting memory once you've beaten it. Now I can't wait for part 2.
+Aes Sedai I keep hearing that the coop is preety good implemented. You should do some checks on google too about that matter. And yeah, I know what you mean by couch coop, it's 100x better than online.
It's hard to believe that this was a Kickstarter project. This is a prime example of what happens when a developer truly loves their project & focuses on what's important, rock solid gameplay. No super flashy graphics or marketing campaigns that make you puke.
Never really got into the pen and paper RPGs. This one is epic, I just don't really know how to play it. I'm having a pretty hard time deciding on skills and abilities; there's so much to consider! Great game though.
It is the finest turn based video game I've ever played. It makes me feel like i'm actually playing pen and paper D&D and that does something huge for me.
@@eightbitbuddha idk, maybe it isn't for everyone. I hated turn based too but the way this game uses it and adds depth to the combat made me change my entire view on these types of games.
The genre is considered with those ratings. Divinity Original Sin is a 9 out of 10 for the RPG Genre while Fortnite is a 9.7 out of 10 for the Battle Royal genre. But i dont really blame anyone for not understanding that those ratings aint "overall" ratings because no one really ever explains how their rating system works.
This game is the best thing i have ever purchased! (I played it on ps4 btw) i've just finished it ! 86 hours of total gameplay ! If you love RPG, strategi, and brain teasers to solve quests.. This is the perfect game ! I loved every minute of it ! :) Havent been this hooked to a game like this for like 10 years.. this is the first time i comment on something like this. i cannot compare it to "Divinity: Original Sin" however, since i have only tried this enhanced edition on ps4 :)
This game is absolutely phenomenal! The combat is something so original. It's basic turn based but the environmental interaction plus utilizing the elements to topple harder enemies is a thrill I haven't had since the Souls series. And it has co-op! This is a tabletop D&D game brought to life on screen. Do not pass up this game!
How can you give this game back a nine. It is wayyyyy better than the original it literally fixes every problem. I don't even know why i bother to use any kind of logic with ign any more waste of a video. Should have given it a 9.5 in my opinion the changes in this game is gudddd plus pc gamers that bought the original sin gets the Enhanced version for free
+Kenshin_44 Hello there from 6 months in the future! I bring u some news to make you rich. one thing i dont agree on is the text is easy to read from the couch, i only sit about 6 feet away from the screen and everytime i get a new item i have to get up to read it
My buddy and I were co-opping this and encountered a bizarre save/progression bug. He saved right before we quit out last time. I saw it, I remember it, definitely happened. When we reloaded the game, not only was the save gone, but it put us back in a zone that lead to a previous encounter. the encounter was reset, but no drops. Then we went to finish the next quest "The Counselors Wife" and the Legion commander would not trigger the next dialogue even though we had the bloody knife and "A Perfect Murder" book. No way to continue the game! I have not read about this bug anywhere else.
The House Of Gaming both different styles of games mate. It’s usually the gameplay that captivates someone to a game and this game has turn-based combat that will be much more tactical than the Witcher’s more skill and dexterity based 3rd person combat. As for story I say the witcher has a much better story or atleast the dialogue and telling of the story is better done in the witcher series. Not saying that this game does a poor job in that department but rather it’s just a more common fantasy story is all and the dialogue reflects that.
been playing it on PS4 and it's awesome. I hope a decent amount of people bought it on consoles so we can get the sequel too. PS4 needs more of the cool RPGS PC has been getting lately.

I do not know if this game is the same, but if this game has way more story than it has combat, then it does fascinate me as to why you did not talk about this in the review and almost exclusively included the combat gameplay.
Supreme Galaxy I know this is old but I just bought this game for £10. Like you, I love xcom 2, it really changed my opinion on turn based games. But xcom is the only one I have played, basically what did you think of this game mate?
Just bought this on Xbox Live for $13 and some change! Quick question for those that've played. I checked the game on Co-Optimus and it says that online co-op sessions save on the host's machine only. Does this mean an online partner will not be able to grab loot or level up their character in my game? I plan to play through the game with my girlfriend and this could be a deal breaker.
At first i thought the game was like diablo or path of exile lol, i had no idea it was turn based...not my type :/ I guess the people who played japanese rpg games and stuff like pokemon will love this more

+sheldon Dark Souls is pretty easy. It's literally just trial and error. Fight something, learn how it attacks, kill it, repeat. Though I guess that could be said about a lot of games.
I bought this game in the blind, during a time i pretty much swallowed cheap games whole, not because i like to throw money around. But because i feel my opinion's on games are a tad more refined than what reviews give me. For instance not many reviewers give a indepth look at pro's and con's about ingame menus, availability, music camera movement and customization, witch for all time i felt Final Fantasy have butchered. Granted the weapons i equip are shown, but so much interesting looking armor is thrown to waste because i have to play their characters as they are supposed to look. And i hate that, still i can enjoy FF because of alot of other things, so it balances out. Now i got this game a year ago or something, and i immediately got dragged into it during the start of it, then as i noticed the turn based element more and more, i started to hate it, and by the time i got to cysael, i uninnstalled and never looked back.. Until now, and i must say, they could have made it so much better by makeing it more fluid, or maybe like FF a battle mode that activates when in range of enemies, cus yeah sure i have gotten somewhat used to the battle now, witch allows me to like the core game itself.. the constant slow moveing around and managing AP is a dread. in a classic battlemode line up, you would simply use AP for attacks, blocks or abilities, not constantly moveing around chaseing down enemies that allways will be out of range. So to whoever wants to pick up this game, just be prepared for some of the most dreaded turn based battlesystem i have ever witnessed, but if you have a mindset that sht takes time, and it makes combat more managable, it does not ruin the game that much after all. :) And i must say the look is sort of warcraft like, witch i enjoy. And the music, ahh the music is gold! It gives a warm and mystical feeling when heard, combined with the world you play in and how it looks, i imagine many hours of cozy gameplay in this :)
The reviews all seam possertive on this game so popped on play store and for Divinity Original Sin Enchanced Edition Bundle it's on sale for £7.99 so Guys tell me would i be mad to pass this game ?
+Romas Nordman Yup it is; just hit START on the second controller and the game switches to split screen; you also have an option to allow it to merge into one when the players are close to each other, or remain split permanently (good if you have 2 monitors)
+AtotehZ Its turn based combat mixed with those types of games. Also a strong emphasis on elements... aka lightening will be enhanced if enemies are wet or in a puddle. Fire will melt ice, you can freeze water, etc.
The game cool in my book but the turn by turn battle system is what turned me off it. I thought it was going be more like Diablo gameplay. Meh, I'll give it another try. I bought it last summer and haven't played it since.
I tried to like this game, but there was a lack of direction that I could not get over. I got stuck in the first town on some mindless objective to find something or someone, I dont remember. I scoured the town, room by room edifice by edifice to no avail. I thought I might have hit a bug, and I did not feel like reverting to a couple of hours earlier to the beggining of the game.
+Brodo Swaggins Have you tried this game called Call of Duty? You would love it, it actually puts a huge flashing icon on what the game wants you to do next, so you can go from hallway to hallway without ever getting lost.
Brodo Swaggins Dude you're kind of putting me off the game a bit now. I downloaded it last night and haven't touched it yet cause I am at work. looking forward to getting home afterwork and playing it. Was this bug really early in the game? I might keep an eye out for it tonight.
Brodo Swaggins Cheers for the heads up mate! I'll keep that in mind tonight. I hope you give it another go and have a fresh start. I would hate it for you to have your money go to waste, especially since the game looks so promising once you're into it. Give it another go mate, start fresh it shouldn't take long for you to get to where you were and hopefully you won't get the same bug again. Or better yet, search for this bug on google because chances are someone else also has had the same bug and has posted about it somewhere on a forum with a possible fix as well.
Most overrated game ever, console version is terribly optimised, gameplay is boring and puzzles are all based on elemental solutions which becomes monotonous after a while.

+Romas Nordman Yup it is; just hit START on the second controller and the game switches to split screen; you also have an option to allow it to merge into one when the players are close to each other, or remain split permanently (good if you have 2 monitors)
Can I still play the original story with enhanced edition?
So what is this? DAO meets BG2 meets Fallout 2?
+AtotehZ Its turn based combat mixed with those types of games. Also a strong emphasis on elements... aka lightening will be enhanced if enemies are wet or in a puddle. Fire will melt ice, you can freeze water, etc.
Hijynx87 Fallout 2 is turn based in the same way it looks like this is ^^
Sounds cool though
Damm Divinty Original Sins and Fallout 4, and not enough time :(
+bubukill1 dos < shit < fallout 4
LN2233 lmao, divinity original sin is pure garbage.
Incognito Lol at this Bethesda fanboy.
Divinity original Sins has way more roleplaying game depth that what Bethesda could even imagine.
LN2233 yeah im blown away by the graphics.
bubukill1 lmao most awaited.. im still playing witcher 3, havent even played fallout 3 or nv hahha
lol at the ppl saying it's a reupload
The game cool in my book but the turn by turn battle system is what turned me off it. I thought it was going be more like Diablo gameplay. Meh, I'll give it another try. I bought it last summer and haven't played it since.
ama play this ho soon as its cheap
MidniteBlues and did you..?
I tried to like this game, but there was a lack of direction that I could not get over. I got stuck in the first town on some mindless objective to find something or someone, I dont remember. I scoured the town, room by room edifice by edifice to no avail. I thought I might have hit a bug, and I did not feel like reverting to a couple of hours earlier to the beggining of the game.
+Brodo Swaggins Have you tried this game called Call of Duty? You would love it, it actually puts a huge flashing icon on what the game wants you to do next, so you can go from hallway to hallway without ever getting lost.
Maisam Abbas nice troll attempt, but like I said, I scoured the town, talked to every npc no matter how insignificant. I am pretty sure it was a bug.
Brodo Swaggins Dude you're kind of putting me off the game a bit now. I downloaded it last night and haven't touched it yet cause I am at work. looking forward to getting home afterwork and playing it. Was this bug really early in the game? I might keep an eye out for it tonight.
Maisam Abbas it was like a couple of hours in. it put me off of it indefinitely, though I was having a good time until then.
It has a weird inventory because it was made for PC...
The inventory is also not very good on PC
+Buster Taylor Thats good to hear, was almost about to buy it again on PC
I want to ask, im playing co-op with my wife.. Once We entered Luccula .. My character always triggers fight without provoking it

THIS IS AWESOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMEEE!
can two local co-op players play online with others?
Whats framerate like?
+Duke silky smooth 30 FPS
+Dr. Thrax thats not smooth at all
+Big Brody lol i think it was sarcasm
Waifus n' Syrup no it wan't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big Brody Doesn't really matter with turn based combat
Best rpg games ever!!
Why reupload?
Most overrated game ever, console version is terribly optimised, gameplay is boring and puzzles are all based on elemental solutions which becomes monotonous after a while.
Can you at least show smooth PC gameplay?
Bring to switch like DOS2
9.99 on the PSN USA flash sale..
King Lexicar if you love RPG's get it... The games a blast. Relevance doesn't matter.😂😂 you get a good amount of content too for just 9.99.
I will stick with Diablo 3 on my XOne
+smackdowner You're totally missing out then.
i wish there was a demo...
+4DXclusive Why? Just buy this game.
+Someone the whole point to a demo is to try it before u buy it. Did you miss that part?
chronicrossi89 No need to try this. Just buy it, you won't be disappointed.
the reviewer completely forgot the fact that enhanced edition contain full voice overs lol(it is the biggest difference)
+dev101 art No he didn't.
