Garage Doors in Baton Rouge
I was going bat crazy trying to figure out why I couldn’t understand the locking mechanism! Thank you! I can sleep my regular 2 hours tonight! ❤
I just want to say that you are a legend. Lifesaver. I come back home at midnight there is no electricity. so I open the garage door and when I close it, I realize it wouldn’t be lock. When I Google it your video come out straight away. Lucky that I got a clamp. Thank you again or else I won’t be able to sleep tonight.
6 years later and want to say thank you. My apartment garage broke so I'm waiting for them to fix it and have been worried about the stuff in my garage and the door to my apartment.
I just used a real cheap metal 4 inch c clamp from Amazon and it works great.
Whoow your video relieved my stress. There was no electricity I was worried all my cars in carage where at risk. We google within two minutes my stress way gone as my garage was locked. Highly appreciated your advise cause it solved my challenge 🙏💕
I have looked at so many videos today. Thank you for this common sense and straight to the point video. Now still trying to figure out why the garage opener is not working...
So glad I came across this. Padlocks wouldn't fit in my runner holes and the garage door service man was no help. He actually told me my manual lock mechanism was broken. But I don't have a manual lock mechanism... Never using that guy again. Came across this video and it is crazy simple. Picked up a pair of C clamps today so I'm all set.
SAVED MY LIVE with this nugget. It's below zero and the springs broke. I live in a bad area so I thought I was gonna have to drill a hole on the track for a lock while freezing 🥶 my 🍑. Few seconds and DONE ✅. VERY EFFECTIVE. THANK YOU 👌
Oh my god THANK YOU! That worry has been keeping me up at night. 🙏 Off to buy a clamp now...
Thank you soo much!!! You saved me today!!! My door malfunction and I needed a quick way to lock it. This information was so helpful.
Thank you, you saved the day when my power was out!
Ah, the joys of city livin', lol. Good way to lock the door, tho. You can even use a regular vice grip too. Anything that clamps tight and gets in the way of the roller. Heck, dropping a big bolt through that slide lock opening would slow people down.
Great video! Thank you-works like a charm!
Thanks that was so helpful!
Wow it is interesting and I open the garage with your idea
Thanks! Very helpful. I'm wondering how secure are garage door openers from intruders? Is there a manual way to further secure them when you are away for extended periods of time? ie Would the C clamp or something similar to the job if someone was to hack the garage door code and try and open it? Thanks.
Soooo helpful - thank you!
thanks so much
Smart easy solution
The reason for the suggestion to unplug the opener is a Safety Precaution.
No the reason he unplugged it his two demonstrate how to lock your garage door when the power is out.
Needed this 💯👍🏽
Know how to lock from the outside if it’s a detached garage?
Thank u!
could you please tell me where can i get that lock at? home depot? thank you.
I definitely have to go buy some Bette clamps!!
Wow it is interesting
Thanks, Man!
Thankyou!
And if you don't just happen to have a big ole clamp thingie lying around your house?
It’s a $6 clamp --get it at Harbor Freight for a few bucks or the big box stores for a few bucks more. Easy.
Wedge a block of wood in one of the rectangular openings in the rail.
I had to watch the vid a couple of times to see that he had a vice grip thingie on the table....I have one of those and it worked just like the clamp. Too bad he didn't demonstrate how to use the vice grip thingie too.
no I was not drunk I was perfectly normal cuz I don't drink alcohol more like like you do where's my I said this because one you don't need to unplug the motor just to disengage it that's partly stupid so I'm pretty sure you the one that was drunk that when you were reading this
you don't disconnect the power that's that's a b******* you don't need to do that 1 month release cord doesn't does something you don't need unplug the motor
Jim Haynes Were you drunk when you wrote that? LOL!
Your comment makes no sense
