@@Jungleland33may I ask where you rode it? Highways/twisty mountain roads, racetrack, off-road etc. I expect it would be fine on highways, I’d be curious to know what it was like elsewhere if you were able to try it.
Thank you for showing us the Yamaha stand. Still no WR450R or Tenere 440 twin unfortunately. That's where the market is at the moment and Yamaha is missing out.
Yup. I had wished for a WR300 based on the MT-03 platform, but Yamaha brought out the R3 instead and no news since. Do they have a 440 or 450 engine (not a race engine) that they could put in a new WR?
Thanks. I haven’t ridden one. I know that when I ride electric motorcycles i occasionally find my toe reaching for neutral or pulling in a clutch that isn’t there 🤣
Great job with the show coverage. The lights on the Tracer don’t actually look too bad. As for this trend of removing the gear shift, I don't see a the point?
I haven't. And I don't assume that it's shit. It may be very good, but I don't have a problem with manual shifting and the use of a clutch on my motorcycles. It fixes a problem I don't have. I drive an auto car, and sometimes it shifts when I'd rather hold on to a gear, or at least make the choice myself. On a motorcycle I use manual shifts much more to control how the bike behaves and giving up that control isn't something that I've needed before. I can see it making sense for a cruiser, certainly on a Goldwing or similar, but on a Tracer 9 (a bike which I like a lot), I quite enjoy the manual transmission. It's also worth noting that this is an opinion, not a fact. Some people will share it, some people won't. I don't mind at all that some people would like an auto transmission on their bikes and I certainly respect their opinion. But I would also expect them to have the same respect for those who prefer manual transmissions.
@PeakMotorcycles yeah I get the point with control over what the bike does. I haven't tried it either. I just imagine that it can be quite nice on a tourer when you ride for hours. This first generation of Y-AMT might not be refined enough yet but that's probably just a matter of time until there is little to no disadvantage to normal manual transmission anymore. 🤞☮️
@PeakMotorcycles A bike is meant to appeal to the widest possible crowd of a certain class. Adding all lights possible when less than 10% of Tracer owners would add as accessories, is a serious design mistake. Tracer is a sport touring bike, not an adventure behemoth. It is not a matter of aesthetics. The design of 2025 Tracer is inherently and objectively wrong, whether we like it or not. Same goes with all the new bikes with cut rear. They try to mimic DIY custom cafe racers, while losing all the functionality. You cannot quick tie a backback, passenger feels and IS unsafe in case of ie. a serious bump, plus, it diminishes the DIY look, which was the point at the start, because all bikes today look DIY. Same with ring/rim lights. They serve no purpose while adding complication. We live in a horrible time for bike design and intent. A2 licenses, emissions and all must look like angry mosquitos with huge tft monitors, symbolise and materialise a society that has lost all the essence of living and seeks flex, ego and empty satisfaction, by following useless trends. end of essay.
Just love the XSR 900GP , it's a great looking bike and the new 2025 colour options makes it even more appealing. Not sure automatic options on some of the MT models and the GT++ is good move , it's seems to be a retrograde step to me and one where I can't see any benefits in removing the clutch and gear leaver.
Your coverage is so brilliantly done, thanks so much!
Glad you enjoyed it! Still a few to come.
thanks for going there for viewers. you save us so much time and effort
You’re welcome. I always enjoy it. After the last video is published and I’ve had some sleep 🤣
Agree, rather get a scooter than ride an automatic standard bike.
Maybe it’s ok on a Goldwing! 🤣
I test rode an Africa Twin auto recently and it was fantastic. Game changer.

Keep up the good work buddy. Love the coverage done amidst the chaos.
Thanks. Chaos indeed. Another post 2am finish, but I think I'm nearly up to 30 videos. Last push to get the rest done tomorrow.
Andrea, thank you for the Eicma coverage. 890 adventure owner here. Looking with interest at the smaller adventure bikes. All the best. John
Still a few to come. And as an 890 owner, the Aurora video might be interesting…
Some lovely bikes there for sure, thanks for the looksie
No problem 👍

The Y-AMT still has the choice to manually shift using the paddles it does the clutch with actuators, or you can choose to let the bike do the lot.

Always brilliantly compiled Andre! Every presentation is done professionally.
Let's see. I still have 20 to go. I'll try to not lose the will to live. 🤣
Hi, what about the XSR900 ?
Great job with the show coverage. The lights on the Tracer don’t actually look too bad.

Same.
The point is to introduce us to feminine electric bikes. Never. Better walk.
3:55 did you try the Y-AMT? or do you just assume that its shit? people also thought horses were superior to cars at some point :)))

I want to meet the guys who are going to buy that Tracer 9 monstrosity. Suddenly the Panamerican seems beautiful.
Beauty/Eyes/Beholder 🤣 Some will like it. Some like the Pan America!

end of essay.
I hope the US gets the Tenere Rally.
I hope so. Do you get the Extreme Edition already?
@@PeakMotorcycles Nope. Just the standard offering.
I presume that the automatic transmission if for the US market. I can't imagine it catching on anywhere else.
Let’s see. A lot of manufacturers are doing it. At least on the BMW you still have a toe gear lever to override if required.
@@PeakMotorcycles I'm thinking that a lot of the manufacturers are all doing it for the same market. But as you say, let's see.
Thanks
You’re welcome. My apologies that the stand was so big!
Cool vid. I was hoping to see an XSR900 in the Raven with gold accents, but it was just announced, so…..👍🤪🏳️🌈
Sounds cool, if it’s at Motorcycle Live in the UK in two weeks time, I’ll do something on it.

Couldn't agree more! I guess time will tell if anyone actually wants that.
I’d probably add 5 minutes to your coverage. Still watchable but more of a chance to show some detail.
Thanks. On which bikes do you think that 5 minutes should be spent, and is it just Yamaha or all?
XSR 155 launch date Imdia please
You’ll have to ask them for that I’m afraid.

What? No 300/450cc Dual / Adventure bike? Yamaha have dropped the ball yet again.
Nope. Just MX, Enduro or a T7. Next year? (Or will that be too late)
@@PeakMotorcycles I think the ship has sailed. Yamaha left behind.
