    George Carlin was very smart guy, well educated. He told a lot of facts, trying to make sense out of nonsense. The type of comedian who wasn't afraid to speak his mind and he didn't give a damn because he told it like it is. The type of comedian that make you want to think while telling some of his jokes. Some of his joke can be relatable to everyday life. He wasn't just a comedian but he was a *philosopher* as well. Likes to make you laugh and educate you at the same time and he wasn't afraid to speak the truth and we loved him for it.
    Introduce her to *MORE* George Carlin please 😎

      Lol an echo is okay but the original version isn't xD oh the logic behind it 🤣 you think they wouldn't want people to customize video and audio and just use the original. But its in reverse, it has to be customized and some how different than the original or its not fair, even though they are getting horrible video and audio quality press releases that are no where near as good as the original which in a small sense make the original look "bad" in the sense of the original could possibly have echos or bad audio quality which turns away possible new viewers or causes misrepresentation

    I'm a shrieking feminist, and sometimes I'm fat. Who cares? You have to be comfortable with yourself enough that a comedian isn't going to hurt your feelings, especially one that works so hard to expose what's really going on. It's also okay to cherry-pick and just like the 90% you agree with. Love your reaction- your sis is hilarious.

    • @qpSubZeroqp
      @qpSubZeroqp 4 роки тому

      I completely agree with you

    • @austenhead5303
      @austenhead5303 3 роки тому +1

      I am also a feminist and a fatso. I hope not to remain a fatso, but at my age, eh, the thin ship has probably sailed. Anyway, I hate this new notion that we suddenly can't say being fat is a bad thing. It is! It's a bad thing! It's unhealthy! It's not attractive to anyone but a handful of fetishists, and if that hurts your feelings so much you can't bear to hear it or think about it, then you need thicker skin. I recommend some Al Bundy fat jokes. (Thank god for vintage comedy.)
      I'm not saying we should go out of our way to point and laugh at fat people, but we also shouldn't bend over backwards trying to make the truth not be the truth. I'm fat. It's unhealthy and uncomfortable and kinda gross, and if I can't summon the willpower to stop being fat, then I at least want to laugh about it. So bring on the fat jokes. As long as the point is to be funny, and not just mean. Also, all criticism of the obesity epidemic as a whole is hella welcome. The way to deal with that as a society is NOT to accept it and pretend that that's just fine and that's just how people are now. It's a serious problem! With causes that need to be studied and identified and dealt with! The FDA has a lot to answer for, I'm pretty sure. But nothing is going to be fixed by just inventing a term like "fat shaming" and then tip-toeing around fat people's widdle feewings.

    • @veganapiranha7365
      @veganapiranha7365 3 роки тому

      @@austenhead5303 I'm way more offended, or disgusted actually, about his light pedophilia jokes than this. I think it's great that the younger generation is trying harder not to be assholes to each other, I think that's really beautiful. We could learn something from them too, but older comedians were products of their time. I'm kind of embarrassed by some of the comedians who got big in the 90s, and their material hasn't grown with the times. Dave Chapelle still being homophobic and proud of it is one example. It's not okay! That's like being racist and proud- bull! I don't think we can shame fat people into being thinner, we'll do it if and when we want to. But I love your take on this and I wanted to show some solidarity.

      That is the appropriate response. Realizing this shit for the first time is life-altering. I don't think these kids have enough life experience yet to fully recognize the truth in what George is saying. I think you have to live through a few wars and election cycles and see for yourself just how much bullshit is being shoved down your throat by every official channel and institution.
      And even then, you have to be paying attention and you have to have at least a couple brain cells to rub together. Plenty of older people out there who are still walking around thinking everything is the Republican party's fault, or the Democratic party's fault, depending on which side they're on. It takes an awakening to see it's all just theater, and it doesn't matter whether the corporate whores in office are red or blue. None of us are gonna get represented. We're living in a feudal system masquerading as a modern democracy, and we are the serfs. We get no say. In anything. The Lords and Ladies of Industry own and controll everything, and we're just here to serve them. It's a big club, and we're not in it.

    I remember being a kid in the early eighties listening to George Carlin on the radio with my Walkman in bed when I should have been sleeping. I usually got caught because I couldn't hold the laughter.and my parents would confiscate the Walkman. (A walkman is like an Ipod that plays cassette tapes and AM/FM radio.) It was fun watching you and your sister crack up at George. You two should watch the rest of his stuff because you WILL laugh harder than you did in this video I guarantee it.

    You guys are adorable and super fun to watch. I admire you too because at ur age I was really sheltered and wouldn't have tolerated George Carlin. His rhetoric is sound logically and philosophically. Not to mention he's hysterical. He once said he loved people as individuals; it's our group behavior that he found grotesque. But he doesn't condemn people personally unlike some comics, you can tell they're just being mean or vulgar for shock value and easy laughs. Carlin really was the best.

    Sorry, people who have a lot of weight (me to an extent, 6'2, 300lbs, some of it muscle as I'm training for strongman as a hobby) it's all down to calories in, and calories out.
    If you have 'low metabolism', which is sort of a thing (genetics), then it's simple, you need less calories.
    Don't apologise for laughing at that, it's our own fault, people need accountability, instead of making excuses.

    • @SkyHize
      @SkyHize 4 роки тому +1

      I have a very slow metabolism and I get fat very easily. A few years ago I went to the nutrionist. I received a list of foods I could and couldn't eat. It was hard to set up the habit to eat everything on the list every single day but after some time you get used to it if you power through with your will. I also had moments where I didn't follow it but I still switched back to the diet as soon as I got my willpower back. I lost 35 kg (over 70 lbs) and am not overweight anymore.
      Lots of people always try to find excuses and I know that by experience because I was one of them. When something really bad happens because you're fat, that's when you realize what you are doing is ruining your life. If I could do it (was also suffering from depression), anyone else can with the right mindset and some extra help.

    While weight might be an issue for some, it’s not the issue with the anti “fat shaming” movement. The problem is people thinking that being fat is so bad, it can’t be joked about. The most “insulted” I’ve ever been was by a guy who would verbally spar with everyone about everything, except my weight because he thought it way too mean, given how bad he considered being fat.
