Honestly everyone was self-centered on High School Musical. My fav was Sharpay because she was honest about it and made it extra XD

@@msk-qp6fn she gave troy a job and tbh troy and the other girl weren't going to be able to get to do the musical because their schedules were filled so Sharpay should have been given the role
@@bepisthescienceman4202 I suppose her giving troy a job at her dad's country club is nice...but knowing her intentions, like she wasn't really trying to help someone get a job for the sake of job or to gain income or experience it was so she could use the situation to get closer to troy and possibly steal him, I wouldn't call it someone a good person would do.
A Sharpay movie had potential to be great if they didn’t make it about her dog. They could’ve used Ryan’s success as a way to humble her. She’ll meet girls like herself and they’ll be a part of a reality tv show, and they’ll try to sabotage her. And she’ll end up trying to get back at them, but then sees every-time she ever did try to sabotage someone, it didn’t go well. She doesn’t want to be the same person she was in high school. And she’ll end up writing songs about her experiences, and learns she can pursue music. But the girls would try to rewrite her songs, just like she did to Kelsi. She’ll end up helping those girls improve too, and they’ll end up becoming a singing group. She doesn’t need the spotlight, what she likes is to sing and perform. And she can do that by finding people who she can be “all in this together” with
I agree!! They could have used this movie to actually develop as a person and become better, but no she's basically the same person and most of her "growth" is nothing profound. I mean she does have a taste of reality but I think it isn't as deep as it should have been. And they used the pet cheat sheet aka using a fluffy cute animal to soften an otherwise irredeemable or hard to redeem person.
I think people didn’t wanna be sharpay because of her personality or actions. She just delivered absolute bops and I just wanted to be rich and pretty like her. Dont we all?

I loved this as a child. I didn't realise it was a part of the HSM franchise somehow? I was like "omg that's so funny it's a similarly named character with the same actress :D" but I loved it so much and I will never unlove it
This movie is complicated for me. Like, I loved how extra Sharpay was in the HSM movies so I was happy to see she got her own movie. But then the movie is just... Lacking. Not that it isn't a good idea to have Sharpay get humbled by 'the real world' and suffer the: big fish in a small pond type of thing, is just that they didn't do it well
It is just meh honestly. Sure I had fun while watching it and liked it as a kid but I mostly liked it got Ashley's songs.
I actually liked this movie when I was little. Sharpay is an icon and it’s similar to liking the Joker in that you love to hate them!
Also this feels like what Heather Chandler was turned into after she died in Heathers but now it’s Sharpay and she’s actually alive and is characterized in a way that makes her look still terrible but with a ✨dream✨

I think they just thought Sharpay was the most entertaining character in HSM. 🤣 Everyone else was cardboard making her standout more.
I am remembering watching this as a child and feeling so disappointed, I remember liking it much more Jump In and making my own headcanon about how it was part of hsm.
I remember watching the “fun fact” version on Disney channel. All I remember from it was that her dog was originally going to be a shar pei and that there’s a soup at the restaurant in the film that takes 3 hours to make.
Sharpay was my favorite as a kid because she was confident in herself (that and pink was my favorite color). I watched this movie when it first came out and thought it was honestly boring/forgettable. I honestly didn't even remember the plot of this spinoff, that's how bad it was (this is coming from someone who was obsessed with the franchise). There was so much potential with such a fabulous character and the opportunity was squandered.
So, the next logical installment in this HSM video collection is to do at least one video on HSM:MTS (I don't actually know if that's how it's abbreviated and I've never even watched the series). I would suggest a video for each season of the show but I don't have any idea if there's enough content within each one to do separate videos.
Gotta love the 2000-2010s where the villains were always feminine girls that wore pink and cared about their appearances... like that didn't teach a bad message for an entire generation of young girls

i think part of the reason was she was the fashionable character, they could get better toys out of her then any of the other characters.

I never watched High School Musical, so I didn't get to be disappointed by Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure. I got to enjoy it for what it is, and years later I'll watch it whenever it's available.

Hard disagree, I’ll admit I haven’t watched the full video yet ( I’m at work)- but this movie was fantastic and so fun to watch, especially when you loved sharpays character.

Given the amount of effort in this movie, I think you put in the exact right amount of effort to dress up for it.
I don't think sharply was a bad person. She put more effort into the theatre than anyone t that school. Coupled with adolescence and immaturity, she felt righteous upset at all the people who weren't as devoted to it as her, just barge in and take the spotlight.
I didntnlike her as a child, or rather, loved to hate her as a kid, but I just love her now as an adult.

I think the movie that Payton filmed would have had more impact in the movie and us as the viewers, if Sharpay actually had character development, and learned to become a better person and less materialistic. I think that would have made the movie better in retrospect. I wish that the writers of the three films had kept the lessons etc that she learned, rather than retcon the character development and kept her a spoiled brat. 🤷🏻♀A decent movie. Hopefully they decide to do a reunion movie in which she does mature. 🤞🏻

When i was younger, i didn't like the hsm. Due to the fact that i cant relate to anyone in the show. But i remembered loving this movie. Maybe cus i saw sharpay in a different light at the 2nd movie. All she wanted is to have a duet with troy. That's all she ask for in return to him getting a college recommendation and a part time job. And in the end, troy so halfassly did the duet with her as if she threatened his life with it or sth like ???? be grateful or reject her offers totally then, aint no one allowed to get the best of both worlds....NOT EVEN MILEY GOT THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS IN THE END LOL

Some fans of HSM dislike this, but me I've never been a fan of those films and yet I really enjoyed this cheesy movie. I love fashion and I adored Sharpay's costumes. The Movie Budz did a reaction to this which sums up how I felt about it.
