I'm an 18 year old girl and people of my generation get so caught up in the music nowadays, but in all honesty this piece of music is phenomenal, I can't even put into words how beautiful it is. Just goes to show that not all songs need lyrics to determine the understanding and meaning of a song, sometimes all it takes is the music, your imagination is a powerful thing.

I watched the movie Monster last night. I saw it years ago and almost forgot how powerful a film it was. This playing while Lee and Selby ride the ferris wheel is absolute cinematic perfection. I'm not condoning what Lee did to the men, but that girl never had a chance. She was defeated and damaged before she ever had an opportunity to escape to a different life. Peace.
The song is called "Ferris Wheel" and it is by BT. He did the whole soundtrack which was a fairly radical departure for what he was known for (trance). I'd never really been a fan of his, but he did this soundtrack in 5.1 surround and, the first time I heard it in such a set up, I was absolutely blown away. I just finished the movie, I cried twice in it. It really wasn't something I was expecting it to be, tragedy and romance I knew, but not THAT intense. I love this movie, Monster, the acting was incredible. I kinda hate Selby though, she was selfish and stupid. There were many times I just wanted to hug Aileen, I felt so bad for her...ugh! :(
everybody says she was a murder but nobody's see that all those men were in the wrong an almost try killing her an took advantage of her an she was human her self too
Most of the attacks on Aileen were made up for the film OR made up by Aileen herself. I'm sure she encountered a nutbag here or there, but Aileen herself admitted she made up the attacks to make people feel sympathy for her. She was a brutal killer.
