I remember driving by best friend to the airport, he was moving from Buffalo to Denver. We loved Fast and Furious. I had a mix CD with this song on it. It started playing when I entered the airport. We got to the front where I had to drop him off and we realized we both had some tears. He looked at me and said thanks for everything bro. I shook my head and said no “I owed you a 10 second car.” We both laughed through our tears. He got out and left, and I pulled away and listened to the rest of the song as I headed home. This was in late 2007 and I wasn’t able to get out there and visit him until 2009. 3 weeks before my trip he had a freak accident and hit his head. He died 2 days later. I was devastated, still am devastated. But the thought that our last moment together was pretty much straight out of a movie makes me smile. RIP bro, 15 years later and it still hurts.
I don't usually like personal comments like this but I'll share mine. I grew up in a very abusive home and I used this film as an escape. The characters, the street racing, the freedom, it was such beautiful fantasy in a time like that. I watched the film every night for nearly 2 years and this soundtrack gives me goosebumps because *for those 6 minutes 35 seconds or less, I was free.*
dankster Same here man my childhood was filled with abuse bad memories and good watching the scene where Bryan and Dom race the Charger and the Supra lets me forget about all that
dankster yo man I saw your comment I’ve been listening to this song everyday now and has now given be some flashbacks to my past and when Paul walker was still alive
They took this off of Spotify and honestly really upset me but I'm glad it's on youtube. This score just makes me feel a certain way that I can't explain. It really makes me forget about my problems for those 6 minutes.
The first movie was a pretty good thingie centered around a cop torn between his newfound love and his new friends on one side and his job on another, the other movies are all based on chases, races and cars. Pretty to look at, but generally shallow. If you appreciate the first F&F for the cars and not for its plot, you have an issue.
Man, listening to this right now almost makes me cry. F&F was the first movie that made me feel things, it was like a revelation, i watched it on repeat for a week straight, every day. It's the foundation of everything I'm into as an adult. Listening to this song is like being that little 12-y-o girl again, the swell of emotions, the catharsis of watching Brian walk away at the end of the movie. The franchise has been such a huge part of my life, but it all started with that first one.
Absolutely! Even the few special effects that appeared in the movie were well done and looked realistic! Unlike in the second movie (and the other sequels as well)…
I do comeback here once a year to listen to this masterpiece of a soundtrack. There are really great movie soundtracks out there but this one sticks out to me. Such an extremely underrated movie. See you guys next year
This has such a history with me. I lost my mom when I was young in 2009 then Paul walker died, those two losses affect me everyday, and my mother loved the movie and looooved Paul walker. If it wasn’t for her, I probably would’ve never seen the fast and furious franchise. Thank you mom.
Different directors. The first and original was directed by Rob Cohen. Then 2 fast 2 furious was by John Singleton. And then Tokyo drift by Rob Cohen again. The rest of the mindless crap was directed by some fool who know nothing about cars and the universal car culture.
This song is so beautiful and first fast and furious was awesome. Best song and best film end I've ever see. Good job, Rob Cohen, good job. We need more films like first F&F.
You're so right. The longest race of all... he won it. The irony. I always preferred him over Dom. Especially in the first movie, when the producers didn't make him so soft. He was no less than Dom. Everything related to cars and races... Paul Walker is the best.
Paul Walker a real car enthusiast and great guy who meant so much to the automotive community F@F was the reason why we have such a huge import scene today and to lose a person like that is devastating and unreal but the memories will last forever. So I say Thank You Paul Walker for instilling a Passion,Love and Respect for all We car junkie's can relate to and Understand. If one day the speed kill's me,do not cry because I was smiling"-Paul Walker Rest Easy Brother
"You know what you're doin?".........."I owe you a ten second car."..........(Dom drives into the sunset)............(Brian faces the storm ahead). This song here makes me just wanna replay the movie over and over again. Charger vs. Supra was the best race ever!
I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bullshit. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free.
This song is SOOOO hard to find! Used to listen to it years ago and it got lost in time...So happy to have finally rediscovered it! I don't know when this song was ever in an actual part of any film but for me it is the original theme song - I get high and endorphin off this song! Love it!
Its amazing how many people dont value this score. I have the whole album, all of it is absurdly good but I always come back to this. In the actual movie, it only comes on during the helicopter scene and I was blown the fuck away lmao
Hey.. can you tell me the piano music in the first Fast and Furious movie where Dom shows his charger for the first time and tells about his father. The piano background music is awesome and I couldn't find it anywhere. ua-cam.com/video/WtnTZSJndPc/v-deo.html
