    I have wondered how to predetermine wire length for years. Thanks for telling how you do that. Is it possible to do a video on just that~determining lengths for necklaces~bracelets~anklets?
    Also~ do these simple bracelets need to be annealed/pickled? I'm so a newbie but want to learn THE RIGHT WAYS from the start. I feel you might be the one to teach me/us. Thanks so much in advance.

    May I know the name of the wire you used? Is it brass or copper non tarnish wire with a gold coating?

    Thank you very very much for your tutorials. You’re very easy to follow along. Thank you for that I am just wondering what kind of a hole punch you are using to punch in your wire is it just a regular hole punch? Everybody uses to punch holes in paper? I tried finding a link to buy your whole punch, but I couldn’t find it thank you thank you very much.

      We are sold out of this particular hole punch but for the purposes of searching it out online, use the term "Eurotool 1.5mm Hole Punch."

    I LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS SUSAN! This one is especially one of my favorites! I actually made my first bangle bracelet right after watching this video about 2 or 3 years ago. With that being said….can anyone tell me what kind of wire she used here? I know the gage but she never said if it was Brass, Parawire, or German Style wire? How did she get them so shiny? That’s another question… should we treat the wire with a high shine spray top coat or the stuff I buy from JTV so the wire won’t turn my wrists green (especially copper) it doesn’t like me. Lol.😂 but I was thinking like the Brass… will it keep it from tarnishing a lot? And the German style wire… will it keep that from tarnishing or chipping or whatever? Sorry about all the questions but I’ve been watching Jewel School for years now and have bought,,Loved, and Learned a lot of things,but these have been questions I have never known. Even after watching older videos, some have been answered but these last few I could never get the answer to .
    If you or anyone out there can help me, I would sooo appreciate it!!!
    Thank You to SUSAN and the whole JTV JEWEL SCHOOL TEAM 💕

    Knocking is more effective if done on a non vibrating surface. Even when you knock to make your bangle round n nice on the mandrel, a rubber surface on the hammer or mandrel would be gentle on the metal n might be more effective . Try it🙂

    How can we prevent wire from tarnishing

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 роки тому

      Hi! Over time, some jewelry pieces will gather grime with wear and some will even tarnish if proper care isn't taken. It's important to clean your finish pieces with a soft cloth that's made for cleaning tarnished pieces, but also you can use mild soap and warm water to gently clean your handmade jewelry. Also, most of the jewelry making wire used for these projects are tarnish resistant!

    Hi Would you recommend using gold filled wire to make hammer wire bangles? thanks

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 роки тому

      Hi! Gold filled wire is a great option for someone who wants precious gold jewelry without the cost of solid gold. You run the risk of marring the plating when you hammer it, so just use your best judgement. You may want to hammer a small part of the wire as a test before making an entire project.

  • @aranisarroyo2522
    @aranisarroyo2522 3 роки тому

      Hi Aranis! You need the hammer so you can flatten and punch the wire, but you can make it work without a wire rounder!

    I love your tutorials and information. I have been looking for a battery wire rounder (at jtv, amazon, etc) and cannot find one. Can you please tell me the sku# or item # and where to find it. Thank you so much.

      Hi Cheryl. The base part of the tool is actually the Beadalon Bead Reamer. The "wire rounder" is an attachment for the Blue Base Tool. They have multiple attachments for different wire gauges. I found it on Amazon.

    What kind of wire u use

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  Рік тому

      The 12ga wire is a gold over sterling wire that is 2mm thick. The 22ga wire is a non-tarnish, gold colored parawire.

    These bangles look amazing and easy to do! Was wondering how would u go about adding smaller stones or beads to the sides of the nugget?

      Check out this video and see if this technique won't work for adding beads to your nugget bangle!

      Local Stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby have pre-holed nuggets to get started with.

    Hi Susan. I love your videos. Thank you so much. Would a wire rounder 1.2 mm attachment work on the 12 gauge wires. I a new to the jewelry making and I am just gathering all my tools. It’s a hobby that i started to do to relieve my stressful life from work. Thanks to your Tutorial videos❤️

      Hi Maribel! Beadalon makes a tip specifically for 12-14ga wires, which are generally 2.1mm-1.6mm wires. Yours may be a bit too small. Good luck!

    Are the rounded parts of the bangles supposed to be flat after your hammer them on the mandrel?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 роки тому

      No. Just hammer lightly to help texturize the wire and get it back into shape. Hammering will also harden the wire, making it a bit more sturdy!
