It was only 2 violas against 20 violins and yet we were louder than them at this point on performance night. Truly one of my favourite pieces.

I played this less than a year ago, it was by far the best song I’ve ever played in an orchestra by far. The bass solo was really fun too. Especially because if you messed it up, then the 5k people watching would instantly know. But I nailed that. 😁

The cello soli is absolutely beautiful. I am a cellist so I may be biased, but it is very comforting to hear the deep "voice" of the cello.
