Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 лип 2024
- This is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury Platinum! Coming in at a price tag of about $70,000, it is about half the price of an Escalade Platinum. So would you pick this instead?? Or would you pick a rival like the Acura MDX and Volvo XC90??

Absolutely Great Review Guys!!
It about time they upgrade this to compete with the Lincoln Aviator. If they Add the a smaller dash like the Escalade and put some luxury touches from the Escalade they would have a hit. But rebadging the Arcadia from GM and making it a Cadillac isn’t a win and that’s why they don ‘t sell many of these.
Yeah, expect at the top price range the large GM SUVs become competitive where GM owns almost 75% of the segment.
This Vehicle Reminds me of a Minivan just no Sliding Door 😂😂
Half priced Escalade? More like double price Acadia!
Somebody failed math.
@@mybro727 Someone doesn't have a life...
And a double and a half price Traverse
Great video guys
Did they forget to do the sound check inside the car while driving?
They didn’t forget. They removed the SPL measurement from most Cadillac videos because Cadillacs are very loud.
@@randybenter1264 Weird - but they did SPL on sister vehicles - like Buick Enclave, etc
@@randybenter1264 They're not really reviewing if they omit the unfavorable findings... Where did you hear they removed the sound reading from Cadillac videos due to them being very loud?
Wow!! This is gonna be my very first SUV to afford one someday and I gonna show this vehicle to everyone at my school as well. Overall, excellent job and review bro.
We just bought one , and very happy with it.We have bought alot of cars including cadillac, the xt6 is a great 3 row suv.with good maintenance you should not have many problems. ALL CAR COMPANYS HAVE ISSUES .
Excellent review and decent car!😸
I've been waiting to see a review of this.
They look pretty good I must say. Im a fan of the boxy shape SUV's
Great review.
Same I like boxier SUVs not those egg shaped tall hatchbacks
@@yes8032 I totally agree. They seem to have more head room since it’s not all chopped up in the back killing all the heard room. My 1st SUV I ever had was a Nissan Xterra and that was truly a boxy SUV all the way .
SAME! If it's not boxy, I don't want it.
Like the styling especially the rear wipers tuck underneath the Spoiler! Joe Raiti from Raiti Rides will like that. It only needs a Twin Turbo V6 engine Thanks!
Do a comparison between the XT6, Chevy Traverse, Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia
Hi guys…as a long-time subscriber, would like to make a suggestion. It would be great if you could dedicate a few minutes to the driver assistance technology as a regular part of your reviews. With these features becoming common in many models, it would be very helpful to understand what level of driving tech is available, how easy they are to operate, and how effectively they perform. I have adaptive cruise with steering assist in my current vehicle and now couldn’t live without them, so this will be a big differentiator when shopping for my next ride. Thanks!
I would agree. Something like an actual test that gives a real review and not just a passing comment. I've now had cars from 2 different brands with driver assistance features, and one is clearly has an edge I overall performance.
The Cadillac XT6 is just a stretched version of the XT5. The XT5 is so outdated in interior styling, I was surprised GM would carry it over to this XT6 model.
GM owns large SUV segment with about 75% between three models. This is more of a stop-gap.
like the shifter lot better than the buick or the Tahoe, push -pull buttons
The XT6 would be such a good SUV if....Daddy used the fine straight 6 diesel motor in this vehicle! They won't mind you but it would be just a spectacular move on Cadillacs part!
why is the XT6 third row only two seats when all its sister vehicles are 3 seats its always nice to have that extra seatbelt in a pinch
My next car!!
Still one of the greatest SUV's I can buy one.
For this price you could get an mdx type s with 16 way power seats with massage, air suspension, 50 more horsepower, nicer interior and build quality, bigger screens, this makes the overpriced enclave look like a bargain
What’s the sound decimal?
What a great powerful engine and transmission. Tech is lacking, however--- when that does hit this model, GM will be increasing the price to match and then some. Sad to see the car lots so empty.
I don't know if this is just me but I prefer the analog dials for speed and fuel and whatnot. I may just be strange.
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building !!!!
The XT6 needs a version of the Escalade's instrument panel & super cruise to be an attractive value to consider vs the competition. Also should have the twin turbo V6 that can be found in the mid-grade CT5.
oooOOOooo... YAS. Twin Turbo! That's a panty dropper there. Take my money.
Honestly at this point I will save the price and I will take a Chevrolet Traverse. Simply the Cadillac doesn’t add anything on the plate to justify the price difference except a bit of leather. If we consider the competition the situation get even worse.
It needs a naturally aspirated V8. Plain and simple.
Going to get the wife a new mdx a-spec or new 2023 Lexus rx. We tend to prioritize reliability and resale. The Cadillac does look good though.
I never owned a Cadillac. Are these cars reliable?
For seeing that it has a Cadillac escalade ESV Electric like the 2020 one I like the Cadillac escalade ESV from 2020. 😭
No digital dash, subpar tech, and more expensive than the competition? No thanks.
Very much so. This thing can cost more than an Acura MDX, GV80, and mid trim GLE 350s and BMW X5s. It is behind in tech, performance, interior space efficiency, and overall luxury.
I would honestly get the 22 QX60 over this
In the bottom of the center console was that a indent for the key fob ?
Yes it’s for if your key battery dies it’s a way to start the car
Its an ok mainstream vehicle, but against the Lincoln Aviator, Genesis GV80, Audi Q7, etc, it is laughably behind. I don't understand why GM based it on the plebian Acadia as opposed to the larger Traverse/Enclave platform. Yes, that would make it larger and make it more appetizing to those that may desire the Escalade, but those buyers are completely different. And using the same engine found in the lesser siblings isn't exactly a luxury move.
The interior is well...another subject for another day(more loaded Chevy than a luxury class vehicle). Cadillac could've simply done better for this placeholder until the Lyriq comes along.
I agree. This thing is indeed a joke vs the vehicles you mentioned. That said, the Traverse/Enclave platform is more of the same thing, wheezy V6, FWD, cheap interior and nothing to make it stand out. This should have been RWD based like GM originally planned. Cadillac's entire XT lineup is an utter joke.
Acura MDX better too
@@rahimi4762 Everything in this class is better than the Cadillac.
@@rahimi4762 the acura is premium brand, not luxury.
Agreed
The exterior is nice but the interior is lacking the quality of the Korean and Japanese products, and $70g's !
Why no sound level reading?
I have owned top end Cadillacs in the past; won't do it again. Much prefer the comfort of a Lincoln. But for now, I will keep my absolutely awesome 2021 Palisade Calligraphy boulevard cruiser ( @ $46k) over this thing any day!
Very Nice
Lol you don’t seem very wild out about Cadillac which I think is hilarious
Yeah I’m not either. The Escalade is the best in their lineup which is expected, but their other crossovers remind me of more so rebadged Chevy’s. They are really good looking though.
@Anthony Veli I’m not a huge fan of Cadillacs or CHEVYS especially the non reliable traverse with hella problems my guy just bought one for 4K hell problems with it HE BOUGHT A LEMON 🍋 TRAVERSES ARE NOT GOOD CARS AT ALL JUNK AT 50k miles
@@Mercifulkingdom we put 60k miles on our Acadia 3.6l with a ECU tune and it never missed a beat!
Rather get a Lincoln aviator or genesis gv80
It has the same steering wheel as the 2022 Escalade!
This is a Chevy Traverse with a cheap suit on; definitely not a 1/2 priced Escalade!
That's like saying why buy a rolls Royse if it's a disguise of a cheap bmw
No front fog lights again.
What an antiquated interior. They upgrade that and sales will jump. Idk what they’re waiting on.
It’s sad how far behind GM is the interior is beyond outdated for a 2022 luxury line.
A kia telluride Hyundai palisade are so much better than this
I think the Lincoln Aviator and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve have more bang for the buck ! $70 G is over priced !
I would have never watched a review of this vehicle, infact I think of this vehicle as a beater. I just like the fact you guys play the stereo and no one else does #dumb. Why there is no massage feature blows my mind. It's worth spending the extra money on the Black Label Aviator. At this size only kids can sit in the 3rd row. IMO even in much larger luxury vehicles the 3rd row sucks. I still wouldn't buy this even though you guys did a good job reviewing it.
I would probably go for a fully loaded Telluride, and save several thousands of dollars.💵 😉
Good choice, American cars are bad quality
@@l.t.p4941 GM cars are not recalled like H/K are.
Good luck with your Kia catching on fire.
@@l.t.p4941 is that why Hyundai is facing a class action lawsuit? 🤡
Great video but damn 8 way power seats and no message seats. This isn’t luxurious it old man car or taxi suv. Everything inside is outdated you better off with Hyundai or Kia or jeep now those in their top model are more luxurious then this.
This will make a great rental car.
The 2022 Cadillac XT6 looks alright, I don’t like the Color lol!
Would you prefer another shade of grey, black or white? Come on, we need more colors on the road.
2010 is calling they want their interior back....
Overpriced and outdated. There is nothing about this SUV that justifies spending thousands more over a loaded Telluride, for example. Cadillac used to be the ultimate American luxury brand but today they are struggling to remain competitive. Hopefully the new Lyriq EV will change things. But we all know that once the Lyriq EV is available it will be priced thousands over MSRP....
lol... Money is all about name not features.
No supercruise, no massaging seats, dated gauge cluster, no larger screens, and shitty reliability.
Please don’t ever mention a Kia on another Cadillac review again. The build materials and quality found throughout these 2 vehicles couldn’t be more different. The Cadillac Lyriq _will_ be sold at MSRP at many dealerships unlike the marked up plastic filled Kia Telluride. No KIA should even be mentioned in a Cadillac conversation. Y’all are really pushing South Koreans American targeted full sized SUVs Telluride/Palisade propaganda but apparently to the customers of the XT5/XT6, *there are enough differences to justify these prices.*
@@mybro727 I agree with pricing, but reliability is shit on both brands.
@@mybro727 it’s really not worth paying extra for a nicer Chevy traverse lmao. The materials in the caddy are mostly cheap parts bin plastic
This is okay, but I would skip it and get a Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy or shop another luxury brand!
Yea now go check the price of that amazing luxury build quality and high end materials filling the cabin of a Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. You may be paying Cadillac prices for it but it’s no Cadillac, or luxury vehicle at all sweetie. Hyundai and KIA are *loving* the silly Americans right now.
@@mybro727 the build quality on the XT7 is comparable to that of a GMC Acadia Denali lol, this vehicle was rushed and is lacking for it to be wearing a Cadillac badge! So bye Sweetie!
@@KhrissyDaDon Lol. Wrong. You will not find authentic real woods on Luxury or real bronze carbon fiber panels on Sport trims, suede alcantera accented dash and door trims, a wrapped and stitched semi aniline leather dash, and real metal trim throughout the cabin of any GMC Acadia. Neither will you find Bose’s 14-speaker performance series sound system. Lol. Knowledge is key. You also won’t find these materials, quality, nor features like Night Vision or wireless Apple CarPlay & Android auto in a Hyundai Palisade.
Although I agree with the notion that the Cadillac XT5/XT6 are horridly outdated compared to other models in their lineup, the XT6 _still_ offers a luxury and high tech experience keeping it competitive while offering one of the segment’s most spacious third rows comfortable for full-sized adults and almost 80 cubic feet. of space with both rows folded flat.
Sad that Hyundai and Kia two brands that compete with Toyota,Honda,Mazda exe has better interiors than this Cadillac
First impression... the exterior looks like an old Minivan, looks 5-10 years dated already.
You overlooked night vision…
The 310 hp is more than 2022 Acura MDX. More space behind the 3rd row too!
Cadillac dropped the ball with this one.
MDX is a 100% better buy.
Not! Smaller and down on power as the 2022 MDX gained allot of weight.
@@normt430You ain’t racing a 3 row SUV either way 😂😂
@@cooldued5308 the Palisade/Telluride is just as quick in a straight line. See Samcarlegion drag strip races.
@@cooldued5308 the MDX is as slow in a straight line as a Telluride/Palisade.
Eeek, that gauge cluster looks very very dated, especially at this price point.
70k and the features fail in comparison with the lower Palisade and telluride
I have a 2021 Escalade ESV and when i took it in for the first free oil change and two recalls a year ago they gave me an xt6 base model as a loaner and it was okay but it's very lacking. I'd personally go for a Lexus rx or acura mdx over this. But why wouldn't i get a Lexus lx over the Escalade ESV? The Escalade is completely unmatched until Toyota and Lexus snap out of their immense insanity and finally release long wheel base versions after over 20 years of being in the big suv market.
I was originally intending to buy a 2005 sequoia until i found out they didn't sell a long wheel base version at all. Went with GM and even to this day after 16 years with my 05 xl Denali Toyota still hadn't made a long wheel base suv by then. What a joke. Immediately bought the Escalade esv in october of 2020 before prices hit the fan since a good friend of mine and salesman who works at a Ford Lincoln dealer told me the sales market was going to implode soon and that prices were gonna soar if i didn't buy my suv immediately which i did so i avoided price hikes over msrp.
I have had XT5 and XT6 loaner when the CT6 2.0E plug-in was in foe updates. Neither of them compare on interior quality and no SUV can match rear wheel drive driving dynamics.
The interior of the XT6 looks like it is from 2015. Fix that and the AWD system and people will buy it.
all suvs need hybrid!!! 18-20mpg is not good!
How much?
70000 wow
@@sortiz03 $20k overpriced in my opinion
@@Carfan678 agreed
Too bad this vehicle is not designed off the CT6 platform. Rwd bias with 500hp option. This vehicle is basically a GMC Acadia Denali for more money. GM penny pinching as usual.
That interior is seriously lacking in every way.
Oh no the Cadillac needs fuel
Nothing going on youtube
😁😂
This thing feels cheap all they way around is rather buy a used Mazda cx9 over this😂😂
Such poor value Cadillac treats this XT6 as an after thought a fully loaded Palisade or Telluride completely destroys this car people just pay for a name at this point this car is not worth it one bit
Old model, not worth the money in any way
Imagine wanting to pay this much for a bad rebadge of a GMC Acadia with less features than a Hyundai. 🤣
Interior not look good
First
100k miles on it than it’s trash lol wait for it.
Oh yeah no doubt.
Just get a Hyundai Palisade or a KIA Telluride. This junk wont go anywhere pass 50k-100k miles
Can you guarantee this XT6 won't last past 50,000 miles?
@@ivanlowjones DUH YES
@@darkivaz-aaa1145
Actual proof or just snarky presumption?
That interior is so damn cheap looking!
It's like ct6 dashboard ! i dont like it .
Goverment Motors keeps missing the boat, if they really wanted to go upscale they would have put a more powerful engine inside instead they shove this same engine in most of there suv, they use the same gm kep fob they drop in chevey and the rest they wont even upscale the key fob.lol gm is knowing for slicing the cake 50 different way to much overlap .pass
Boring......inside and out.
I don't give a damn WHAT Cadillac offers or does, their vehicles are JUNK. I just got rid of one and I'm back in a Lincoln and I couldn't be happier! Cadillacs also ride like trucks, something to be expected to an extent in ANY SUV, but their coupes and sedans ride like an old chevy pickup truck.
You should got a lexus or Genesis.
@@darkivaz-aaa1145 Nah, I refuse to own ANY foreign car. Most of my family either work in or retired from one of the "Big 3" in Detroit. My older brother went over to the UK a few years back and got his coveted Volvo; I guess it's less expensive that way or something. At any rate, he's had nothing but major mechanical and electrical trouble with it, AND....it's more than TWICE the cost to repair than a domestic car. No thanks. Besides that, I've ridden in a Toyota Avalon, and I was NOT impressed; ditto for BOTH Acura AND Lexus, which 2 of my friends drive. Hell, my 1990 Buick Electra/Park Avenue was FAR SUPERIOR in ride smoothness and road feel/noise isolation than all three of those foreign nameplates. The body hardware sounds and feels cheap as well, and the doors do NOT sound solid when you close them, unlike my Lincoln; even the door/seatbelt chimes sound....CHEAP and, I don't know....TINNY. I am quite happy with my Lincoln Continental; now THAT is a TRUE LUXURY CAR. Besides, I'd feel like a TRAITOR, on top of KNOWING that I'd be taking several steps DOWN with a foreign/ Japanese car.
@@jamescarrington5521 So you prefer american junk?
🤮
Copycat of KIA Telluride
One word to describe: crappy
What a garbage vehicle . The interior Is utter nonsense. It seem all R&D and design money goes to the escalade. Who the hell signed off on that interior? It's last in its segment
I have the 2011 srx 🤷♀️🥹
