By 40 some will be able to even very slowly type stupid flatard comments on YT and by 50 most are dead anyway because they were so stupid they had convinced themselves that if they just shut their eyes they wouldn't be able to se the car, truck, bus or train coming so usually die trying to prove they aren't actually there just because they couldn't see them, just like they deny curvature because they can't see it in a million dead obvious way since it rolls away from us so they can't ACTUALLY directly see it, it's just like closing their eyes, it can't be there because they can't see it. Of course all the things called ships floating around out there don't vanish behind the horizon, they actually are sinking to the bottom of the ocean as they go out of sight BOTTOM FIRST.
      The hilarious part is that it doesn't take any sort of genius to understand that we DO live on a globe, some really dumb people I've known have even been able to explain WHY reasonably well, so that makes them the underachieving champions (or losers, depending on how you look at it) of the entire world. I also love how they imagine the speed of the earth like Daniel Pratt's spinning ball on a drill press, when in reality yes roughly 1000 MPH seems fast to us tiny little ant like creatures on the earth that are nothing more than basically bacteria to it. But 1000 MPH is not a measure of angular velocity, rotation is not measured in mph that is because the size of something matters. For example a car with tiny 15 inch tires vs a semi truck traveling at the same speed with larger tires, the larger tires would have less rotation than the smaller car.
      the same is true with the Earth as huge as the earth is 1000 MPH is very very slow, in fact it is so slow it takes an entire 24 hours for one rotation. That is minuscule in relation to being able to detect movement which you can't when something is moving at a constant speed. In other words look at an hour hand on an analog clock, now see how slow that is moving, like one number on the clock per hour, now take that speed and cut it in half and that is how slow this "SpiNNiNg BalL" is rotating.
      In terms of water sticking to it yep the earth is so big that if it were the size of a bowling ball the deepest ocean (the rift valley in the Atlantic about 9 miles deep) would be roughly .0015 mm of water stuck to the bowling ball, and yes even on that scale that amount of water can stick to it, or in this reality case grease on the ball from the lanes.
      Now lets tackle the idea of relative motion. Ok the easiest one to use is the water in glass while you are traveling 600 MPH in an airplane during a smooth flight, that vodka and tomato juice you are drinking is still as glass, Oh wait shouldn't it be sloshing around all over the place? What if on that same plane if you toss a tennis ball up why does it fall down exactly in your hand and not fly to the back of the plane and hit the stewardess and knock her glasses off her face. It doesn't why? Because constant motion is not detectable. Now if as you toss that tennis ball up the plane suddenly starts to plummet toward Earth it will behave much more abruptly, it probably will break someones glasses and that bloody mary would be all over your brand new dress shirt.
      See flaties this is the level of physics that you all have observed on a daily basis here on our oblate spheroid that is rotating 1 rotation every 24 hours and one journey around the sun in 364.25 days. You care to ignore that and paint the reality of what is happening is some dramatic thing that is impossible such as ThE EarTh iS Not A SpinNiNg bAlL. that is called a straw-man. You need to comprehend how big the earth is, how big the solar system is and how big the galaxy and universe actually are. Ya'll say that the stars have not shifted but yes they have. Ya know the junk science of astrology? well those zodiac signs ya'll pretend to worship have shifted from when that junk science started 1000's of years ago, They are not visible in the months they once were 1000's of years ago. You know why? yeah because the universe is changing and expanding and moving. We are all actually rotating around a black hole that will have us for lunch in a few hundred billion years. Check mate, and that is without getting into any of the basic concepts that ya'll seem to glass over and deny such as global navigation, or stars rotating in different directions on two hemispheres and are completely different star charts, or days or seasons, or moon phases, or eclipses, or no one has been able to see the ice wall but there are millions of pictures of Antarctica. Or the millions of composite pictures from space that you claim is all fake but yet there are no images at all of pancake pizza earth. Or the fact that um not a single celestial body that exists is a flat disk? Of course you deny all those realities just to make magic pizza earth pretend it is real.

    • @ChristopherStendeck

      It's very likely that practically every Flat Earther believes in God. After all, the natural cosmic processes and descriptive laws of physics that lead to spherical planets could not make a flat disc world, or put a dome on top of it. It would take a creator to do such a thing...
      And the laws that govern such a world; for the sun and moon to move in precise circles, and never fall, for everyone on this planet to see the same face of the moon at the same time no matter their angle to it, for the night sky to rotate in opposite directions depending on one's distance from the centre, etc etc etc, all the things that don't work AT ALL on a flat Earth, those things would require magic on a scale only a God could provide. So I get it.
      But it's amazing how seldom they admit it. Flat Earthers like to pretend they're doing science. Observations, measurements, logic. But they fudge and bend, misunderstand and misconstrue scientific laws, lie and exaggerate about their methods and their observations, use pseudo-science and scientific-sounding mantras to convince the naïve to follow them into the darkness of ignorance with confidence... It's far from science, but yeah, they like the world to think it is. Because they know it's the only respectable way to look for truth.
      How often do you see a Flat Earther reveal their seed of inspiration? That is; the book of Genesis, bronze-age scripture. A traditional creation story from the middle-East, spread by conquest to much of the world, that they desperately try square with reality, with all of these specious "observations". Let me tell you, it's rare. It's rare to hear them admit it. Because it would be embarrassing wouldn't it? Even a Flerf has enough shame to know they live in quite the glass house if they try to accuse the rest of us of "believing in fairy tales" or "anything we are told" whilst clutching to their hearts stories about talking snakes and people made out of dust and ribs. How silly they would seem. So they don't. They borrow the respectability of science whilst rejecting it for the folly contained within the fossilised oral traditions of bronze-age goatherds.
      What a situation to be in. I'll stick with my objective study of reality, innate system of morality, and freedom from the childish fears and comforts of religion thanks.

    We had already things like:
    - When you shine a laser light over water it can hit an object on the other side.
    - Two camera's mounted on two different spots give two different images.
    - Islands and lighthouses can be seen from far away when there is only open water in between.
    - A spirit level can be made level on the ground, and also above the clouds in an airplane.
    - Throwing water onto a ball makes the ball wet.
    - Kids in a schoolyard can be scared when yelled at from a stranger.
    - The sun can be seen setting to and rising from the horizon.
    - Perspective can produce confusing pictures. ( hmmm, no, this came from M.C.Esher )
    - A table can be tilted.
    - A lasergiroscope can pick up a 15 degree per .....
    - etc, etc, etc..........
    And now we can add to this list:
    When a light shines through a glas of water, it can give multiple reflected images of this light.

    Hold your hand at arm's length palm towards your face. Blow on your palm. How can you feel the air pressure without a container? It turns out that other air functions as a container on all sides of the stream. It's not a great container, as you can tell by bringing your palm closer to your face and feeling that the stream is more coherent.
    The sparse molecules of a hair falling towards Earth from very high altitudes is the container for the air just below it and that air being bounced down and also falling is the container for the air just below that in turn.
    So it is an absolutely true statement that you cannot have air pressure without a container, as in without something to press against. Fortunately the surface of the Earth, the columns of air everywhere, and the force of gravity bringing air molecules tapping down on the very top of the columns of air forms the container in which the air pressure you live in is evident.
    Anyone who thinks the container is missing has been outsmarted by their own breath.

    • @BitOBear
      @BitOBear 3 роки тому

      @@larryfanatic1365 :: No, it really isn't flat.
      There's a fabric of facts woven throughout history that prove it is not flat.
      Look up the history of the nautical chronometer. People on the ocean needed to know what time it was in order to use the sextant to determine longitude. The only reason the wrist watch exists is because it's an offshoot of the pocket watch which was an offshoot of the naval chronometer, which was an offshoot of the need to navigate the spherical Earth.
      Look up the "gyrocompass", a device used in every Navy ship and every large ship on the ocean to find the North regardless of magnetic influences. It only works because the Earth is both round and rotating about its axis. If both of these things were not true the device would not function.
      I can trace a dozen or two unique threads of evidence that validate the spherical Earth all available to a person and all figured out from the surface of the Earth itself.
