      Forget NASA for a second because all you really need to have is common sense. Do you honestly believe we're on a moving, spinning ball corkscrewing through space at 67,000 and 1000 mph respectively? How would GPS work if the Earth is fucking moving? That's where your globe nonsense hits a dead end.
      You have been brainwashed by the highly controlled debacle of an education system since your were children. When you treat science like a religion listening to your "God" Bill Lie the scLIEnce guy, that's where you start to go on a slippery slope. Unless you round Earthers have been to space and have some authentic pictures of the Earth from hundreds of miles away, people need to shut their mouths with their pseudo science bullshit.
      You've been conditioned to believe that when you hear the term "flat earther" or "conspiracy theorist" you correlate that to a person that is a basement dweller that has lost their mind and isn't living in reality when it's actually gullible sheep like yourself that need to look in the mirror and see how much you've been hoodwinked. You honestly think we enjoy telling people we've been lied to? You seem to think we have nothing better to do than to make shit up when that's not what we're doing AT ALL.
      I'm only out for the truth. If I went to space right now and saw a fucking globe corkscrewing through space around the Sun, I will happily concede, because I have an open mind. It's closed minded people that become so adamant and so offended when someone comes along to tell them that they've been lied to their entire lives. I'm sorry to tell you this, but the Earth isn't a spinning testicle corkscrewing through space.
      Debunkers will also try to apply psychology when attempting to refute "flat earthers" insinuating that we're wrong because we are depressed or unhappy with our lives, so we create this fantasy of lies to make ourselves feel better. That's what these dumb fucks so instead of actually proving the Earth is a spinning ball. They'll just say they read it in a book that the Earth is round lmao. These charlatans crack me up.

What you're saying proves my point, that all flat earthers can be described by the phrase "He keeps repeating himself and doesn't understand why he's failing". What you're saying now has been disproven by many scientists and even flat earthers alike. You're imagining the atmosphere as a clearly-defined boundary that ends at a specific point. It's not like that. It has different layers of density that gradually decrease as the pressure lowers. That's why you only get 2/3 the amount of oxygen (I think) on MT. Everest than on the surface of the Earth; there's less atmosphere above it and therefore, there's less pressure and therefore, less oxygen particles. It's not rocket science, you learn it in like 8th grade in my country.

    I love/despise how Flat-Earthers try to replicate Celestial level experiments while ignoring that their experiments are ALL already tainted by the fact that they:
    A) Don't/Can't understand the Massive scale on which Planetary events unfold
    B) Don't realise that the very gravity they are trying to "dubunk" is working against them
    C) Flat out lie and make up what they don't understand.
    I once saw a miniseries of two or three parts, based on the Snow White fairy tale. There's one particular scene where the hero and her father are in a village trying to get answers from a guy and he isn't very helpful due to his lack of intelligence. The father (John Larroquette) gets annoyed and says to his daughter "Let's go honey, this guy's no help; he a complete idiot!" to which the guy replies. "If ONLY!! No, I'm what you'd call a half wit; now my Dad. HE was a real idiot." And he was so proud to be the village idiot. Later on the hero and her father give the village's wishing well it's magic back and people start making wishes again; above all the cheering ONE voice booms out "YES!!! at last I'm a complete IDIOT!!!" Meaning that instead of wishing to be smarter he wished to be dumber - something only a complete idiot would do.
    Every time a Flat Earther "debunks" the globe with such complete confidence, THAT scene is what I'm always imagining.

    Hilarious use of the curve calculator. He actually did use it correctly, and then didn't realise that he'd demonstrated that the earth is curved by exactly the amount stated. All he needed to do was draw another tangent on his earth - from the horizon to the balloon. So yes, Felix's "eye level" at the point above his horizon via a line drawn as indicated is exactly twice the height he is above the surface. If he kept going he might have worked out how the Greeks first determined an approximate size of the earth

    In that last part where FEO show the Dragon separation he virtually gets EVERYTHING wrong. First it is not the booster which the Dragon separates from, its the SECOND stage. The booster is by the time of this safely back on earth landed on the droneship.
    Secondly what is separating is not the Dragon crew capsule but the Dragon as a whole, that means the capsule AND the trunk (or service module). Dear or dear, FEO you really need to get your facts straight!
    Lastly, most of the cameras used in these scenarios have a very wide field of vision which tends to distort perspective but captures a lot more interesting views. So again everyone with on ounce of honesty sees that the piece isn't 'going through' the Dragon but instead just passes in front of the camera and ends up hitting the inside of the second stage frame. But ofc honesty isn't one of FEO's trademarks...

      Anything you see floating around a spacecraft has almost certainly come from that spacecraft.
      Orbital speed is about 25,000 km per hour, so anything coming from outside the spacecraft "system" will probably be moving so fast(relative to the camera), it won't be captured on a single frame of video.

You show knowledge of the subject, intelligence of thought and great humanity in addressing these loons. It is great to know that there is another voice for sanity and truth. I didn't realize that the flat earthers had become so aggressively and arrogantly insane. All of the idiots are buying into what was essentially a bad practical joke. Happy birthday again, Dan. I hope you have many more years of debunking. I'm off to watch more of your videos.

      I would have to look at the video in closer detail, but I am to lazy to rewind right now. What I want to say is this: I seriously doubt that the visible line is the actual horizon. It is the upper edge of a cloud layer and thus by itself not at sea level but high above the true horizon. Without having done the math I would even claim it is not at horizon distance either.

He could then upload it directly, have a computer or tablet with him in the cab or wait until he is home to upload it.

    It’s always hilarious to me how flat Earthers consistently fail to consider just how massive the Earth truly is. How in god’s name would the right and left ends of the horizon curve downward when the majority of the planet is beneath you? What would they connect to?
    If you can’t understand what I mean, imagine an ant crawling on a bowling ball. From the ant’s perspective, the horizon is going to be straight in all directions...even if you place the ant 6 inches above the ball. But if you place the ant one meter from the surface of the ball, then the curve of the horizon could be properly distinguished.

    Happy Birthday! Thanks for all the gifts you have given us.
    The crane operator could do some ball drops to test the rotating earth. A plumb bob would hang straight down, but a dropped ball should land just a bit to the west [no, east], shouldn't it, on a rotating earth. Not enough to see, but he could claim that proves there is no spin.
    As always, the fact there is an horizon line shows the earth is a globe. A flat earth would just fade out into a distant blur.

    • @Robert08010
      @Robert08010 2 роки тому

      Not sure it would though. A dropped ball still has the same eastward momentum as when it was being held up. Are you looking for Coriolis effect?

    • @mitchellminer9597
      @mitchellminer9597 2 роки тому

      @@Robert08010 Yes, I am referring to the Coriolis Effect. A ball that is dropped still has the momentum it started with, but it is actually moving slightly faster than the ground below it.
      See, it relates to distance from the axis of the earth. The surface of the earth at the equator is moving eastward at about 1,000 miles per hour, due to the earth's rotation. The top of the crane, though, is moving at, say, 1,001 miles per hour, because it is making a bigger circle - speed wildly exaggerated for illustration - as it is further from the axis.
      Therefore a dropped ball is going to curve as it descends. That is called the Coriolis effect, and that was what I was referring to, yes.
      And I said "west" earlier, which is backwards.

    By 11.40 he's literally said it 3 times, yes, it's below you! Come on LEO, you can do this. And surely, if the earth was flat, wouldn't they see the same horizon? Is there a horizon on a flat earth?

    • @andystokes8702
      @andystokes8702 2 роки тому

      That always makes me laugh. Every time a flat earther talks about the horizon they are acknowledging that the earth is not flat. On a flat earth there can be no horizon. On a flat earth you should be able to stand on the west coast of Ireland and point a decent telescope west and see America yet for some bizarre unexplained reason we can't. Should be pretty simple what with water finding its own level etc.

    Just by guessing, the actual hieght on the position of felix's balloon in the diagram would be roughly 3k to 4k miles above the surface. When in actuality 38 miles, the height of the jump, would be around the "ankles" on the stick figure.
