Thanks so much for doing this video. I bought the iLInk400 several months ago and have been playing around with it to learn all of the functions. I have searched for videos or instructions on how to use this scanner and have found very little info. The videos that are out there are mostly guys scrolling endlessly thru all of the options which is ok if you're looking to buy but does little for practical use of the scanner. The manufacturer support is limited to registering and downloading updates. I had to do the CKP relearn on my 2000 Blazer but didn't have the scanner at the time so cost me $250 at the garage. You're video has shown more than anything else I've seen. For the price it does have a lot of functionality. I've used mine to check fuel trims and O2 sensors but so far no PCM changes as I'm still learning and like you said you can change things with it that can leave you stranded if not careful. Hope to see more videos and good job.
I got the Vident iLink 400 GM only version off Ebay after watching your video. I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and it threw a P0300 code. This little scanner was able to do the Crank Sensor Relearn and my code is gone. Money well spent!
You did not scroll all the way down when you got to the Power Train control module screen. Did it have the "camshaft relearn" function for when you replace the cam sensor? What about the throttle body position relearn?
That’s great bro!! Seems like a handy tool to have !! My 02 has a evap light also I replaced the gas cap we shall see what happens but I almost think it’s the valve near the spare tire I only use it in the winter and summer I brake out the TBSS It’s awd however the 02 is 4wd and much better in the snow 👍🏻 Looking forward to seeing how the scanner does on the evap code on yours Your easy to follow along with ! Some guys just show ya the scanner then skip right to the finish part I like know how everything works! Keep up the great work!!!
I watched your video and purchased a ilink400 myself. I'm curious if there are other functions. Rev limiter and other power inhancement? I just got my ilink today.
I put a touchscreen in it. This tool does not unlock radios but does other things. I need one that does just that. You have to buy a another tool for radio unlocks ugh...

I purchased a Ilink400 scanner. In the application setup/key test, The reboot key doesn't light up red or beep when pressed. It will reboot the tool if pressed for 3 to 5 seconds. But doesn't light up or beep in the application setup key test. Is this normal.
I have never heard of crankshaft sensor relearn...the sensor is just a Hall effect with the crank ring being just a big magnet...there's no reprogramming in it....just put in a new sensor and it works....
At least for My Trailblazer. Two things may have to be done after you install your E.C.M. First an anti-theft relearn may have to be performed. If this is the case the truck will not start. The second thing is that a crankshaft variation relearn may need to be performed once the vehicle is running. This will be evident if the check engine or service engine soon light comes on once the vehicle is running. You will need access to a scan tool capable of doing this procedure to do this and clear any related trouble codes (Code P0315). If this is not available to you a repair shop will have to perform this and clear the related trouble code. The vehicle will run normal but the ”service engine soon” light will come on and a trouble code will be stored until this is resolved. Instructions for both procedures will be included.
That is incorrect. When I rebuilt the engine in my 2000 Blazer I had to do a CKP sensor relearn. A relearn is required when the CKP sensor is replaced or taken out and put back in. The sensor reads the position of the reluctor wheel on the front of the crankshaft and sends to the PCM for timing and RPM's. The CEL will stay on until the relearn is performed.
@@techmanok the relearn procedure teaches the computer how much distance there is in the gap between teeth. The vehicle will run, but it won't run optimally without doing the relearn procedure. These procedures exist for a reason, much like you need to relearn other parts other than just replacing them....because the computer needs to know the variance in values the new part reports to the ECM.
I was about to put 1 in and found out you have to do a re-learn.I am getting this vident because the machanics in my area mess up everything they touch or they are to busy and you have to wait 2 weeks. 2002 GMC Yukon Denali 186000 mi.
I just want to make it clear before I say what I think about this product, I like this product. I just got the product yesterday and I went on to diagnose my car. The first and second test went well, but the third one the device froze two times when I try to use it. It connected to the car, but when I try to use the arrows again to move around, they would not move. I have two cars that are the same, so is not my car computer. Has anyone experience this problem? I have 30 days to return the item, and I have two other OBD's for other cars that can read the cars that the new OBD can, but no all. Another issue is the cable, I find it a bit loose that come from the OBD machine, and also I have to run the engine so the OBD can connect this causes me to use fuel while doing the test has anyone found these problems? Otherwise, a very good OBD it does many professional things, great product apart from what I encounter.

Wonderful...i have the same GM Vident ilink400 tool...was wondering if you or anyone found where i can "increase" the idle speed from 824 (factory setting) to about 950 RPMS?...and reprogram it to 950...can this tool work for that?

Don't need to relearn a camshaft sensor. No such thing on this year. Crank is all you need to relearn with a new computer.
