Spot on. You helped me focus on the Minor Pentatonic in a Skype lesson a few years ago. I really didn't like it. I had learned the blues scale and felt like I was missing something with just the Min. Pentatonic. You told me, "You don't have to practice that note. You'll add the flat-5 back in without thinking about it." Best advice ever. A lot more focused in my practice. I committed to learning the 6 ob just so I could play the upper octave too. Really dig this lesson. There's something about that call/response between the octaves that just hardwired the pattern into your brain. After a few reps, I don't even have to think about it. Thanks, Jason. You rock as always. 🙏

Jason as I've mentioned before Thank you, and Dennis for getting me back into playing scales. Curtis never taught this stuff a million years ago when I wss learning at the beginning from him. But learning these scales has not only made me a better harp player, but also piano, and guitar player able now to play some basic Jazz piano along with Blues piano because I understand these scales. But, another scale different from the 1,3b,4,5b,5,7b This one Major 1,2,3,5,6,1 Minor 1,2,3b,5,6b or natural 6? Both seem to work. What is that scale exactly called? Any combo of notes with a b3rd will work for minor key music or over major as well... so the last one is basically just a major Pent with a flatted 3rd (so a shortened versionof the regular minor pent. ❤️ I hope I read that right? 🙏. I don't know Willie all that well, so I haven't written an email, the times I've met him he's always been sweet to me. I do know the guys in the Iguanas pretty well though. ❤️
