Wow. This looks pretty legit and I love the story behind it! The owners seem really nice to be honest, and I love how they actually had to learn how to do it and started their own company. Of course, in that situation I’d rather just teach my children how to use a keyboard and now computers work from a young age like my dad taught me though. I was brought up using a few old laptops to play games off of floppy discs and CD-R’s, and that meant I knew not to mash buttons and delete everything like a giant idiot. However I still got the keyboard massively dirty like the idiot I was, so maybe that peanut-butter proofing would’ve been useful.
I mean yeah but this feels like it's more for peace of mind that if the child's mother is cleaning or something and the kid gets his hands on the computer she doesn't have to worry about the kid deleting data or screwing it up and mom has to wait for dad to get home after work to drop that nuke on him.
I have a penchant for products created by ordinary people who after failing to find a professional solution to a problem they encounter, take it upon themselves to make one for anyone else that might have the same problem. They always feel like they have a lot more "heart" to them, even if they aren't particularly great products

The idea is, it survives the milk spill and then gets cleaned before it’s used, because as I know from when I was a 5 year old, spilling a drink on a keyboard kills it effectively as it‘s never the same again, but the milk can’t get in than the keyboard would survive.
These keyboards are cool for kindergarten class, I remember similar keyboards for the Apple iMac that were colorful and were durable enough for little kids.

I hated typing lessons. For me it was easier to type without using asdf. And besides, if you use another layout, you get confused. In my case I use ABNT2 (Brazil), and certain typing software didn't recognise additional keys.
Ignorance is not knowing something. Knowing how to acquire the knowledge you want does not eliminate said ignorance until you put the learning process into action. (I would not have chosen that particular example either, but I wasn't consulted before his interview.)

The two people who developed this keyboard are awesome. This a great product. It's well made, it achieves the goals it was designed for, and it passes the LGR peanut butter, syrup, and milk challenge (try that with a modern tablet computer. I dare you) . They deserve an award. Completely seal the case, make it Bluetooth, and it will still be a useful product today.Thank you LGR.

Not really. At least back then. The 1990s were still a time of overpriced everything computer related. You could find some cheaper peripherals, but most stuff was right around the $100 price range. A cheap 14.4 modem (internal) was $100 in 1994.
That really depends if that grandparent did or didn't learn how to type on a typewriter, which most likely would have existed during their time. I'd be really worried if they were from before the typewriter's invention.
@@CyberneticEden Yeah, since my grandfather was taught how to type on a typewriter in highschool which helped him not have to deal with the actual fighting in the Korean War, though my grandma never learned how to type as a secretary as they used shorthand and I saw her book for it and yeah, it is confusing.
From the wayback machine, the last most recent archive of the site was the 27th of december last year, and after that on the 28th of febuary this year the site went down, at least it is there still to see. That really depends if that grandparent did or didn't learn how to type on a typewriter, which most likely would have existed during their time. I'd be really worried if they were from before the typewriter's invention.
@@CyberneticEden Yeah, since my grandfather was taught how to type on a typewriter in highschool which helped him not have to deal with the actual fighting in the Korean War, though my grandma never learned how to type as a secretary as they used shorthand and I saw her book for it and yeah, it is confusing.
Does it work with the Grampy Aught Six? The one that types in 400 point font and has a meatloaf for a cursor? From Compy?

From the wayback machine, the last most recent archive of the site was the 27th of december last year, and after that on the 28th of febuary this year the site went down, at least it is there still to see. And watched the video again, as i hadn't seen it since when it was posted too, and like some others have said, i'd call it a BNOP sundae with how it ended up. Not sure it'd taste that good though.
