    I’ll take both of them!

Both sounded great. Kudos for setting up/dialing in each one so well. The '52 has that Classic twangy, old Tele sound, and the '59 had a warmer fuller tone. That was a real treat for the ears. 👍 Using the Tone knob and EQ (amp or pedal), how close could you get each guitar to sound like the other?

@@picksalot1 they can get close, but there’s certain qualities that are there no matter what, the 52 has a spongier bass and the 59 has a tighter brighter bass. They feel different to play, the 52 has more resistance to pick attack while the extra definition of the 59 makes for easier playability.

Great tele video, but I think you just sold an amp. That Sportsman sounds incredible.

The 59 sounds really warm and the other sounds like it’s all bite. Both sound really good.

50's style wins all day long in the recording playback. There is one passage of notes where the Rosewood does sound sweet in there.
I can only speak to playing originals in shops, a '63 Rosewood Tele was one of the most amazing guitars I have ever picked up. Felt amazing. Absolutely magical. As for the original '52 - meh, although it was in flawless condition.
Only two 'better' than those for me were an '83 JV 50's tele from Japan. That neck! Insane. Should never have sold it. Also, one of Nash's own early '52 complete with the Fender logos. Those pickups! Pull pot monsters. Again, probably shoulda kept it.
Thanks man. As far as your lessons, keep up the good work. It is actually remarkably difficult to find solid guitar teaching on the Tube. Guthrie Trapp is probably one of the best I have found, an unlikely candidate, seeing as he doesn't like making videos or teaching much, but he has such a solid approach, albeit in random sequence at times.
    God Bless 🕊️

Very subtle differences between both. The '52 is a little more punchy and mid-forward, and was especially friendlier to break-up/overdrive tones to my ear. Whereas, the '59 had a slightly more "clinical" sound, a little brighter on the top end. I sensed a slightly wider dynamic range on that one as well.
Again, the differences were VERY subtle, and nothing an audience member would ever hear. But for all of the demoed tones, my pick was the '52 AVRI. I could see that one being more friendly to my picking style.

Exactly! The 59 is a bit more versatile for that reason and after playing blackguards for over 20 years, I find myself picking it up more often

@@KoreyHicksGuitar hey, I meant fool in a fun A-Team sort of way, both are great guitars. Two sides of a coin. Though a fairer comparison would be two AV or two CS models. Really enjoy your channel!
