Blur are a great band. The 90s was all about Oasis, Nirvana blur and the verve for me. If you like this check out the universal by blur one of my personal faves from them.
This track being a dig at Liam was a first distrack from this style of music that gave me respect for Blur. Have to give a massive nod to Doves and Elbow though. Have a listen to Luke Sital-Singh and Cairan Lavery. Both british and astounding live and acoustic
Nice to see a Blur review again. Really love that band, they have a special place in my heart for igniting my passion for rock music. Would love to see you review more Blur songs (since you already did a lot of Oasis songs to ;) ). So I'd like to request: Blur - Advert.
If you liked the guitar outro you should listen to the live version in Hyde Park 2012. Guitarist Graham Coxon adds even more notes at the end of the song. The song starts in minute 15:53 of the next video: ua-cam.com/video/_ll4r3bC-dk/v-deo.html
I often forget how much I love Blur! Their later stuff was what I first listened to in the day, so check out MOR, You’re so great, coffee and TV, mellow song, battle or Caramel.
I like your recommendations and obviously all that songs I just think Battle isn't the best of your recommendations, I like the song a lot, but for someone who's not familiarised with the lyrical repetitive songs (like trailerpark) or the experimental instrumentation of the 13 album I don't think that he would enjoy as much as someone who have that context. In other words, I think that Battle is better in the context of the album for a first listen, No Distance Left to Run or Trimm Trab would be better choices for that album or even listening to the whole 13
To me, Blur was the best band from the 90s. Their albums got better and better and more unique and different. They have aged exceptionally well. Sure there were bigger bands in the 90s like there were the Beatles and stones in the 60s, but Blur has aged exceptionally well like the Kinks did from the 60s
Damon Albarn moved up the release date of Country House to the same date as Roll With It. The rivalry definitely certainly wasn't just amongst the fans.
The feud between Blur and Oasis was purely media created. Almost everyone I knew bought everything that both bands released, along with Primal Scream, Pulp, The Charlatans, Paul Weller, Verve and many other bands/artists.
Blur have so much to go through. Just a few: Tracy Jacks Girls & Boys Colin Zeal The Universal Charmless Man There’s no other way For Tomorrow End of a Century No distance left to run Tender
I´m offended that people still compare mediocre, monotonous Oasis with Blur. The marketing success it took to get Oasis there is probably their greatest achievement to this day.
Blur were better, wrote songs that didn't sound exactly the same amd actually developed as band. Rather than getting worse and worse as the albums went on. Having said that, Universal is still class
I'm here because an Ewok reacted to one of my favourite tracks 😁🏴

Oasis is bullshit, but yeah, those bands are awesome
@@GreenToast01 maybe to you I fucking love Oasis
Anyone with an ear can hear great music in both.

Add ocean colour scene to that.
And Oily Water.

He said in the beginning of the video that he has already listened to a blur's song with a milk so I suppose it was Coffe & TV

@@loubaxo9339you’re not wrong. Don’t know how I failed to mention Trimm Trabb. That’s my favourite song on this album and maybe top ten of all.

Liam Gallagher said this is his favourite Blur song ✌️
total slacker anthem
I can see why!
An ode to heroin...pretty blatant now looking back
Blur have so much to go through.
Just a few:
Tracy Jacks
Girls & Boys
Colin Zeal
The Universal
Charmless Man
There’s no other way
For Tomorrow
End of a Century
No distance left to run

An Oasis B Side will always be far better than a Blur A Side. There is just no comparison.
Noel wishes he could have written that
Can't tell if that's a joke? Oasis have 2 good records. They started off well and just got worse and worse.
Alright casual, go back to playing FIFA and let the grown ups listen to their music, ;-)
Oasis is better but for Blur suggest The Universal
