I bought an LG washer/dryer combo 6 years ago and never regretted it! If you don’t have a dryer vent that goes horizontally through your wall to the outside and not up a pipe to the roof like mine has then you have a fire waiting to happen! I purchased the new GE Ultra Fast washer/Dryer combo about 6 months ago. The technology is brilliant and getting even better. There’s a learning curve to understanding it but once you figure out keeping the lint filter and pump filter clean and use a 30 inch curved brush to clean the lint compartment and a half inch pvc pipe about 30 inches long attached to a vacuum and large wipes to keep the micro rubber door gasket clean it’s the best washer/dryer combo on the market!!!

@jeffduncan2942 My samsung takes 1 hour to wash and dry in total, but the dryer came broken. Otherwise, the AI and announcing through the whole house is awesome when it's done
It honestly doesn't take all that long, I just got the machine yesterday and a typical wash cycle on a standard machine is what 45 Mins, a dry cycle being just as long. My first load only took 1:30... It was a small load. My last load, my bedding, took 3 hours. Now the bedding is the extreme and I haven't taken the load out yet, so take my next statement with a grain of salt... On most dryers for large or thick items you'd have have to rerun the dry cycle on bedding, jeans, or towels. If I remove my blanket from the wash and it's fully dry then than 3hours becomes smaller. Then you have to factor change out times, I put my bedding in the wash at 5-6pm yesterday, I am typing this message at 8:19am the following morning. If I were to forget or be too depressed or tired to go change out the load, I would have to eventually rewash and dry it all over again becuase of mildew. A full cycle in this machine removes "human error", at the expense of 30mins-1 hour, and that's to the extreme.
