Harold is adorable, I like the comment about adding corduroy instead of felt clothing for the clothing. I might need to look into getting one of those felt animal kits and give it a try.

I just finished block 5 in Alice Caroline book. It is quite difficult mixing my fabrics with the Liberty ones I have. Textures are quite different but am very pleased with it . Brain does feel like mush after 5 in a row. Would love some pointers as to combining Liberty and traditional fabrics. Any tips would be appreciated. Tell your Mum Happy Birthday from me. she was over the moon with him! When you start the alice caroline book, it is a brain workout at the beginning but you do get in the swing of things. For my blocks I am using all liberty for the accent colours and then the background is traditional weight quilting cotton and although the blocks do feel different, it doesnt feel odd as the different weight is reserved for the background.
