I think sliding on gravel is a mistake that everyone has to make one time. Thankfully I did it in a car rather than on a motorcycle. I almost slid into a ditch, but was otherwise fine.

What gets me, is the people get mad at people changing lanes, but at the same time will lane split without a care in the world.

The biker is literally doing the same thing to every car, surprising multiple drivers as a bike is suddenly beside them and getting in front.

@@orion310591RS It's supposed to be based on the order that they stop, but it doesn't always go that way as we can see here. They can be confusing intersections for sure.
It's very simple, people take turns. If the person in front of you goes through, then you wait for cross traffic then it's your turn. If there are turn lanes, they yield to the lanes going straight. But some people's brains turn off completely at a four way stop.
Americans can't grasp roundabouts but will install four stop signs 💀

That's right. The bike braked hard, but with this following distance it was impossible to stop on time.
@@mhoeij He has plenty of options, but his lack of practice/skills led to him only having the option to crash. He could have swerved right, left or not locked up his tires or got a bike with ABS since he clearly has no idea of how to ride.
Rider needs to season off to learn to ride better and more defensively.. Not sure why he has to keep looking down.
I try for at least for 12 seconds.
Sammymoto is a prime example of why trail braking is so important to practice. Sees the corner tightening at 41mph, runs off the road 1.5 seconds later, still going 39mph, having never touched the front brake.
in addition, he’s not counter steering, i.e., pushing left handlebar and looking left to go left. You clearly see him pushing right handlebar causing the m/cycle to straighten up go right and run off the road.
on top of that, you don't even need to be doing trail braking, with that lean angle you can start braking pretty hard, but people are taught too much bullshit, and afraid to touch the brakes mid-corner.
7:48 this is why Motorcyclists need to stop playing games with vehicles on the road. You're smaller and won't win against someone that wants to kill you in their truck. You have no idea who these people are that you antagonize for whatever reason justified or not. They cut you off, too bad.. roll with it. You start a fuss and they could be insane and kill you.. why risk it just to show how much they upset you? What difference does it make? You're not going to convince someone on the road they did something wrong by being an asshole yourself.
If someone is swerving into you multiple times, you change your route and leave it be. You don't play the game, because if the other person truly wanted to escalate they can and might kill you.
In the end, this is the motorcycles fault for playing with the idiot.

Perhaps if there was as clear video of the truck swerving into him, as there is the rider following, it might be more believable. All the action seems to be out of the camera view.
Remember kids - rev the shit out of your engine, float the valves and foam the oil, point at your GoPro, flip them off, point at the GoPro again and then give another valve float. Then speed off. That'll show 'em!

3:03 I feel you on this one. When I crashed my first bike in 2019, I knew it would be a while before I'd be able to buy another. I spent a year renting bikes from the bike sharing apps. It made life suck a lot less and I learned a TON about motorcycles this way.

Yes. Also you need emotional regulation to ride safely. If you are angry or upset while riding, then you can't be properly focused on what you are doing.
The problem with riding a bike is people either just don't see the small vehicle you are driving or maybe they discount the motorcycle entirely not seeing it as a hazard to them. But that makes it essential a bike rider always ride prudently and always expect the unexpected or else I would not be here myself. Luckily the driver saw me at the last second on a curve and gunned it or I would have T-boned him at about 55mph with no place to go.

7:54 I had this happen to me on 95 in VA. We were going 60-100 mph in the express lanes- Also for no reason. I ended up calling the cops and actually got the one helpful cop in Virginia. He said they couldn't do anything without a video, but if I had him recorded, they could actually charge him. Based on other things I've heard, that might not be 100% accurate or applicable everywhere, but if I were you, I would at least try. That's guy's a mother fu*ker.

I like to analyze all the crash videos to see what the riders did wrong and what they got right. Sammymoto got it right when he dressed for a crash. First on the long list of things Sammy got wrong was the position of his feet. They were on a motorcycle. When you can knock that much bark off a tree that far from the road and your corner entry speed was only 47 mph, I'm thinking you don't have what it takes to ride and survive. Best to give it up, Sammy. It's OK if you don't ride. It's obvious that you can't.

Not at a four-way stop. The rider stopped, let the truck through who was there first, and then it was his turn to go.

Can someone explain 3:34 to me. It's a stop sign the cycle stops the truck goes the the cycle goes and the cars is expected to stop?
Is it one then the other? Just seems confusing me to why not stop until the junction is clear. Not being sarcastic for a change I am genuinely curious. (I come from the land of roundabouts so probably would stick one there).
It's a four-way stop, meaning there is a stop sign for each direction. Generally, the vehicles are supposed to proceed after stopping based on the order the vehicles stopped at their respective stop sign. So after the truck, it was the motorcycle's turn to go, but the car after the truck started going out of turn.

Or there is just utter confusion, like when multiple vehicles are trying to let each other go first lol. I much prefer roundabouts. They are getting more popular here in the states finally.
@@eddiethedestroyer it's strange as there are a few junctions I have seen here in the UK that are controlled by traffic lights and on the odd occasion when the lights go down traffic seems to flow better and people, generally, seem to be more courteous! Almost like the four way stop system.
Like most systems the roundabout works well until people decide not to use them properly and block them up for all!
@@DS-um9hi Sounds like folks in the UK handle offline traffic signals better than in the US! When that happens here, it's utter chaos, especially if there are multiple thru-lanes. Often the police will have to come and direct traffic.

The near universal bad rider sequence of events: 1) perceived or real slight from someone in a four wheel vehicle; 2) rev bomb with no thought for applying the brakes; 3) pass the vehicle and sit upright while turning around in the seat (with no thought of what’s in front of them) to look at the offending vehicle; 4) flip off said driver or vigorously poke at their eyes hitting their visor with two fingers; 5) shrilly screech either “What are you doing?! What are you doing?!” or the combo “What are you doing?! Use your mirrors!”; and finally 6) speed away splitting lanes at 20 MPH or more (mostly more) above the speed limit while they pontificate about how unsafe everyone else on the road is.
