You are doing so well. Have you noticed you have formed some new micro habits along the way, like putting those hangers wrappers directly in the trash. Those would have ended up on the floor last year, doubling your workload. Also great sorting and putting it away straight away. Even more impressive with your health at the moment. You should be so proud of yourself. You have come a long way. I am so happy for you.
Agree u are making small adjustments.keep it going Mira less clutter and keeping it clean u will be less overwhelmed.god bless u keep it up so do it with the water bottles.no floor recycle as soon as u are finished.
Look at you, letting go of a full Ikea bag! That is amazing, you are doing really well! I also liked how you show needing breaks now and then - we all should remember to take breaks. Thank you for the video!
3:23 I have a “transition bin” that I use for things I’m not sure I’m ready to give away yet. This way, if I continue to look for a particular thing and realize it’s in the bin, then I’m not ready to let go of it, but if I forget it’s even in there and forget I even have it, it allows me that time to transition and emotionally let go of the item.
I think you really like the”new Mira”. She has come along wa😊y in spite of the challenges facing her along the way. Stay strong and know that we are all rooting for you!
I have a trick that might help you make the this process faster! I just got done going thru my closets. I would hold up each top infront of a mirror with my behind it to get an idea if the color was right for me. I have grey hair now and some of my browns just were not as flattering like before and some colors that were not quite right with my brown hair looked great with my grey. That screened out clothes fast and then i could go thru the one that made the cut on the first round and start screening out more by style and condition of the clothes. It works so well that i have to share this with you!
Excellent work, Mira! You are doing amazing, and I can't believe you are just pushing through despite your recent health challenges. Keep on keepin' on, friend!❤
You are doing fine Mira. Give yourself some grace; if you organize your stuff now, next time should go faster and you’ll find your stuff! You have some nice pieces there. Baby steps Mira!!!
You did a great job! I laughed when you said you've got 150 shirts!!!😂😂😂 There's a great decluttering idea - turn your hangers around the 'wrong' way and when you've worn the item, hang them the 'right' way. It shows what you haven't worn and might help with round 2. 😃
I do that too. It’s amazing how little I actually wear and I don’t have very many clothes but it’s true. They say you wear 20% of your wardrobe 80% of the time.
So glad she donate full bag of clothes causes she sure does have a lot of shirts and leggings that problem she won't wear half hope she is feeling better.
I'm in a similar situation with health setback right now. I was in the middle of my reorganization and fell. So no I have many piles in progress from 30% to 70%. So frustrating because I was making progress...
Well done 👏 on going through so much and letting go of so much too. Slow and steady wins the race and you are certainly winning. Mind yourself and have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏👍💪🙏💐🦮🐕🦺
You're constantly working on making your house a home 🏡. That's amazing 😍. You deserve a beautiful and peaceful place where you can enjoy staying with your boys and doing some hobbies. We're all in the same boat ⛵ and not able to solve everything at once. So rest when you need to rest and continue when you feel you have enough energy. Sending love and energy your way 👍💖🤗🌹.
I JUMPED FOR JOY when you came on!! 🤗🤗 It's perfectly okay to take your time and rest. You're doing a GREAT job on decluttering. I'm still praying for you and your health. Jesus LOVES YOU and SO DO WE!! ❤️
What an amazing transformation from the videos of a few months ago. This one had a bunch of clothes but the floor around you was clean, there were no water bottles all around, and the sofa was clean except the clothing you were sorting. I agree it’s the pits when our bodies don’t do what we want it to do anymore.
I love your process to be honest. You are making progress. And really NOT that slowly. I am sorry you got so sick, I think that’s why you’re so winded. I think that once you recover more you’ll bounce back. You had gotten so strong since the very beginning. And look at your whole house. The back patio is better. The library is so nice and so is your scrapbooking room. The kitchen is in much better shape, I love the new dining set. And now your bedroom is a work in progress. You’ve cleaned all the corners and gotten your closet sorted so you can organize your things and have more room. The livingroom still looks nice too. And you’ve made some pretty awesome friends along the way! (I personally love all of you, you, Bonnie, Mack and Jason, Barbie) you all are super heroes in my eyes. It’s been so inspiring watching all of you. And motivating. I move slow, not setting ANY land speed records by any stretch. But I hope that in the end my house won’t feel so suffocating. And I won’t be sticking my kids with trying to clean up this place after I go. I don’t want to do that to them. Take care of yourself! Be proud! Can’t wait to see the next installment of awesome sauce on your channel. And I’m still waiting for my Tarot card reading! Xo
Wow you’re still continuing even though you’ve been sick and have a lot less energy! I hope you are proud of yourself and have compassion (for yourself) when you are not able to do what you want.. It’s really cool to see you continuing this journey!
Great job, Mira🎉 You did alot considering you've been ill recently. Taking breaks is a necessity for you, so give yourself grace. If you have other white shirts, get rid of the one that is stained. You don't have time or energy to dye anything as you're still decluttering and organizing at this time. Thanks for the motivation! ❤
I have noticed after I let go of things, even if it is hard to do so, I don't think of them anymore. This encourages me when I struggle to let go of other things- I know they will be forgotten and not worth the production I put myself though LOL Do you notice that too? You are doing great sticking with the steady progress method. Love the garbage can idea in the living room!
It's good that it's you sorting through your belongings, that is much better than some homes I've seen on tv where everything in the home is thrown out after the occupant is put in a retirement home or passes away.
I think it's reasonable to keep bins of clothes for different seasons if you find yourself needing a little more space in your closet. You're doing a great job 💕
I had a really hard time parting with clothing, too! One thing I was told as a suggestion, that helped, is - put your hangers into your closet so that the opening is in the front. Then if you wear it and replace it into the closet, put the hanger in with the opening to the back. THEN, after a year (or however long you decide to set for yourself) you go look at the hangers. All of them that are still with the opening in the front are items that you didn't wear in over a year... at that point, I had to decide if they went into a "momento" box, or if they went to donation. I found it was easier to put to donation after I realized that I hadn't worn the item in over a year!!!! maybe give it a try????
Dealing with the new normals like limitations on what we can do….ABSOLUTELY n my COPD is mild stage. 🥴🤦♀️😢I use to clean houses raising my kids. House I’m in takes me a week. Back in olden times I did three like this. Limitations are extremely annoying, frustrating, depressing. Mire you are doing a FANTASTIC job. I watch these videos for inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. 🥰🥳🤩🎉
Can I recommend that you hang your hangers backwards? Then you turn them the right way once the item is worn. Then you’ll be able to tell what you’re not wearing.
This made my day. Another great video Mira. I love hearing you talk and laugh, and seeing your cute boys and their antics. They must be great motivation.
If you’ve been collecting clothes for over 20 years and got rid of 500- that’s only 25 pieces per year, so that’s good. Keep culling Mira - put near the front door then in the car and every now and again drop into goodwill. Well done- you are still left with masses of clothes. At the moment I only have 40 pieces per season and some of them cross seasons - so only about 80 items in total. More than enough if you don’t go to an office to work :)
Mira, you are doing wonderfully with your clothes sorting project ❣️I suffer from Fibromyalgia & other ailments so I understand about the frequent breaks. I wanted to do some filing of paperwork today but I could only work in 5 minute increments. I did get it all done though.YAY for me. YAY for you❣️❣️❣️
I'm so impressed with your decluttering of closet clothes. It is a great idea to go through things in phases. I've done that for a while now. I think it easier to decide what you really wear and what you don't after you make several passes.
You go girl! I'm really struggling at the moment with mobility and some other issues but you have inspired me to get back on track. I could see how hard it was to get stuff done. Look at you putting the rubbish straight in the bin. Your closet is looking great. I love what you said about the "fantasy item" clothing too. Take care ❤️
I really needed this video! I keep thinking I'm going to consign some clothes because it's stuff I've never worn and I paid a lot of $$$. But honestly, I simply don't have the energy! I'm going to donate it and then I won't need to keep thinking about it! Thank you, Mira! Now I can worry about some other crap! Lol!
Mira lots of new beige hangers. when I was watching you it reminded me of how much money I wasted purchasing clothing. I am soon at the retirement age and with not much money which means I will need to continue to work. I have tried for 9 days not to spend money and I was successful just to use what I have I try and do this for food etc.. lets see how much I decide to donate and purchase?
Yesterday I started with a chair. I thought of you. I never get to the bedroom! It's my best friend's apartment.Between the 2 of us there's very little physical stamina anymore and she's not ready to make any more decisions yet. She's making small adjustments that make a big difference 🎉🎉🎉
You're doing a great job 😊. You've come a long way. I myself have made a commitment to not buy anymore hangers. The reason being is that if I have more clothes than hangers then I still have too much clothes 😊. I, like you, have acquired a lot of clothes throughout the years & intend to continue to peel another layer of that onion. I hope you're feeling better.
Mira considering that you are still recovering this was a fantastic job and you got rid of so much too! I have got my act together too with decluttering. In the last three weeks I have got rid of a set of garden chairs, an exercise bike and my mobility scooter that has been riding in in the boot of my car for about 9 months, needs a new battery and I've decided it's not really worth having one because my partner can't walk far either and I can get around one shop with my crutches. Next thing to go is the spare bed! I've got to say Mira that your channel has inspired me and got me going on the declutter journey. Thank you and take care lovely lady ❤
You've come so far! Clothes are the most difficult. The most! One thing that helps me sometimes, but not always, is my laundry pile. It usually contains my favorite things that I want to wear first. Sometimes I ask myself, if these were the only clothes I had, would life be any different, because these are the only clothes I wear anyway? But yet I often still keep so many others.
You’re absolutely right-on so many things! I also struggle with my body not being what I envisioned for myself. I also struggle with long-covid symptoms and exhaustion has become part of my menu now! I sooo understand the struggle. Doing 15-20 minutes at a stretch and saving your energy with small steps is key. You’re doing exactly the right thing. Did you know they make a wristwatch gadget now for people with limited energy to ensure we pace ourselves? It looks like a fitness tracker. Energy conservation and efficient use is key-you’re doing great! Progress over perfection ❣️
You're doing great, Mira. Even with rests and pauses. I love seeing your furry little helper angels around you 😇 🥰 Thank you for sharing your progress, and maintenance and catching up! It's so motivating and makes me feel less alone 💜
Your closet looks so good Mira I loved your skull leggings & noticed you had a few skull tops just in time for Spooky season. What progress you have made feel proud of yourself & feeling well is top priority so glad you are taking things slow & having breaks. We had a free curbside give away on the weekend got rid of half the items I put out on the curb & then packed up the rest in car & brought to donations. So felt good about that much stuff going out of the house for good. We all help keep each other going. See you soon!
Mira, the strategy that I followed for the clothes that I over bought was to package up the overstock in tubs. Instead of having to shop, sourced from there. I don't see the sense in getting rid to rebuy the same thing. Instead of trying to home your excess shirts, why not store them when current use shirts wear out?
You are doing a great job! I am so glad you are feeling better! I think that once you go through all of your clothes and then maybe work on something else and come back through your closet again, you will find more to part with. I know that is true for me. I have also heard of the trick of hanging up the items backwards on the railing to signify you wore it. That might help you once you’ve completed the first pass through. I am going to try that trick myself.
Hi Mira you’re doing amazing, hope the motivation keeps going for you tfs looking forward to the next one. Have a great weekend. How did your scrapbooking sale go great I hope 🥰🇨🇦
So happy to see you're back 😊 You got rid of so much! Doing great! You might already know this trick but one way to figure out if you're wearing sth is to hang the hangers the opposite way so once you put the piece of clothing on, you will hang it back correctly and therefore know that you wore it 😊
You are doing so well.
I agree! Well said!
I noticed that too. These little things seem hard to do at first but then they turn into a automatic routine 😊
Agree! Well done, Mira.❤
Agree. Amazing small changes!
Agree u are making small adjustments.keep it going Mira less clutter and keeping it clean u will be less overwhelmed.god bless u keep it up so do it with the water bottles.no floor recycle as soon as u are finished.

You did an amazing job! To get rid of over 500 pieces of clothing, having shirts sorted on hangers and large collection of letting go items. 🎉

Excellent work, Mira! You are doing amazing, and I can't believe you are just pushing through despite your recent health challenges. Keep on keepin' on, friend!❤
Check out the trash can within arms' reach of the couch. Trash easily went into it as you went thru clothes! Great progress.
The speed that you're making decisions now is great. Way less dithering, go you!❤❤❤😂😂😂
You are doing fine Mira. Give yourself some grace; if you organize your stuff now, next time should go faster and you’ll find your stuff! You have some nice pieces there.
Baby steps Mira!!!
So satisfying to see you put them in the closet at the end
Mira you are doing so great with your closet, been there done that 😂

I love that idea!
I was just going to suggest this! I do it every year and is a visual of what you don’t wear and what should be donated.
I do that too. It’s amazing how little I actually wear and I don’t have very many clothes but it’s true. They say you wear 20% of your wardrobe 80% of the time.

Nice job Mira. You gave a lot of shirts but you love what you have.
Look at you getting it done! I like that you had that Ikea tote ready to go, and loving the closet space.
Mira, you have some beautiful clothes 😊
Nicely Done!
Great job Mira
Good job Mira!

You've really got a good system going now, Mira - keep peeling! I admire your determination.
You have so many cute clothes. I have fun guessing which ones you’re going to keep. Sometimes I think “oh I hope she keeps that one!” Good job!
Great work.
Well wishes always.❤

So proud of you
Your get there one step at a time. Love your little buddy.
I'm so impressed with your decluttering of closet clothes. It is a great idea to go through things in phases. I've done that for a while now. I think it easier to decide what you really wear and what you don't after you make several passes.
You've come so far, I'm happy for you, now you can see and choose your outfits that you feel good in, clothes make me happy too😊
You go girl!
Wow! That's a huge full bag of declutter! More space to enjoy the things you love!
I really needed this video! I keep thinking I'm going to consign some clothes because it's stuff I've never worn and I paid a lot of $$$. But honestly, I simply don't have the energy!
Fabulous job of decluttering your clothes. Well done.
Yay! So much that got done!
Yesterday I started with a chair. I thought of you. I never get to the bedroom! It's my best friend's apartment.Between the 2 of us there's very little physical stamina anymore and she's not ready to make any more decisions yet. She's making small adjustments that make a big difference 🎉🎉🎉

As I declutter my closet, I have started donating the hangers along with the clothes. No sense having empty hangers taking up space in my closet! 😊😊😊
Mira good for you ,keep up the amazing work.💕💕💕💕💕💕
Meeting big goals with no energy is sooo hard 😔... Well done for keeping going while trying to be good to you. ❤️
You are amazing, Love that you just keep going!
YOU GOT THIS !!!❤
I hope you are doing well.
Not because I miss new videos from you (though I do), but because I worry about your health.
Get well soon! 💐💐💐
500?? Wow, that's a great step in the right direction. ❤❤❤
❤feel better soon
Mira considering that you are still recovering this was a fantastic job and you got rid of so much too! I have got my act together too with decluttering. In the last three weeks I have got rid of a set of garden chairs, an exercise bike and my mobility scooter that has been riding in in the boot of my car for about 9 months, needs a new battery and I've decided it's not really worth having one because my partner can't walk far either and I can get around one shop with my crutches. Next thing to go is the spare bed! I've got to say Mira that your channel has inspired me and got me going on the declutter journey. Thank you and take care lovely lady ❤

You did amazing work. It is Okey to do decluttering in 10 or 15 minutes at a time
Big Hugs! Baby steps on your road to recovery. 🙂
Great decluttering! You’re doing a great job!
You’re absolutely right-on so many things! I also struggle with my body not being what I envisioned for myself. I also struggle with long-covid symptoms and exhaustion has become part of my menu now! I like your new intro logo thing ❤
your closet looks wonderful!♥♥♥♥ Great job!
Love those organizing bins in that closet! Glad you and Colt are feeling better!
Good job!

Hi Mira you’re doing amazing, hope the motivation keeps going for you tfs looking forward to the next one. Have a great weekend. How did your scrapbooking sale go great I hope 🥰🇨🇦

You have some really beautiful clothes!!😍💐💜
I laughed at the this is how I count carbs shirt...hubs is currently keto so this hit me so funny! 🤣😂
So happy to see you're back 😊 You got rid of so much! Doing great! You might already know this trick but one way to figure out if you're wearing sth is to hang the hangers the opposite way so once you put the piece of clothing on, you will hang it back correctly and therefore know that you wore it 😊
We have a women’s clothing org that would LOVE all your casual clothes
💐❤
Amazing thank you for the video
