Weight. You forgot weight for climbing. Deep wheels weigh too much for serious climbing. I use 3.4s too because they are in my opinion the best all-around compromise and allow serious climbing as well, and enough aero for the descent. As far as this being an Enve commercial, it's not, but all of the most modern attributes of carbon wheels are in Emve's. If you're heavy, Enves molded in spoke holes are for you.

wheels for training not racing. budget the minimum i can found for light strong wheels with 9 speeds cassette. Budget i say around $200 or need much more money to found good wheels.
Thank you for the answer. i have two set wheels now. Fulcrum racing T and racing 7. But in the racing T is broke the free hub body. i used the free hub from the racing 7 i swap is working but i want buy one more free hub body. But i see online is cost around $80. Make me i think is better i buy new wheels. I stay want fix the free hub but i do need more wheel i have one TT bike and 3 road bikes now. The one road bike have matrix wheels the TT bike have mavic wheels i not know the year or if is the original with the bike. The TT bike is 2003.
Haralabos Lukatos you're going to have a very difficult time finding deep section aluminum wheels at all. If you're talking for training don't worry so much about weight or aero, any increase necessary in effort while training will show up even more if you do ever buy a race specific set.
The question you need to ask yourself is, why have deep section rims entered into road racing. Once you have the correct answer you may well start to look at it all in a very different way, none of this has been touched on in this footage.
Would 155- 165 lbs be considered light weight. I am looking at enve 4.5s as my go to as lots of the races here are crits and and tt with long road races every so often.
So this is an Enve wheel promotion? But most everyone doesn't have someone else buying their wheels or $3000 plus to dish out on wheel set alone. Even many who do won't waste that kind of money if not a racer.
there a plenty of carbon wheels on the market, I guess, this was a show off wheelset, not more. He is not saying buy an enve wheels, he is talking about profiles, if you watched the video, of course
I feel like I want to buy a Enve wheelset, sadly, the set would be more expensive than my bike... I have a Devinci Leo Sl equipped with Ultegra 6800 :(
Hey everyone! This video was made to address some different questions involving wheels including things like rim depth and weight of the wheel! I hope this helps and remember to keep Cycling Strong! #cycling #cyclingstrong #enve #buyingroadbikewheels ua-cam.com/video/t3Z1T5DDCQ8/v-deo.html
you see... carbon wheels are in excess of 800$ aluminium on the other hand you can buy a decent pair of wheels at 2-300$ the weight and aero advantages are just gimmicks and unless you are a pro rider it doesn;t even count can you make a video about why should you choose one or the other because I see no real reason to buy carbon unless you are a racer or you just want to show off...

DFTA (Don't Feed The Animals) I thought the video was 💩... unless your working for sales at ENVE 😂

I not race i look for training wheels. But when i ride i like or i try i say better i go the fastet i can.
What depth would you recommend for a climber that also races crits?
You should make some video on alloy wheels because those carbon wheels are not affordable for the most of us so this is not much of a help.
So what kind of wheel should I buy for my road bike?
so someone should give you info and then decide for you? lol
Bahaha!
@@alsin1597 Yeah, his joke went right over your head.
What is the best combination of wheels for all conditions ?

What do you consider light weight? I'm 150.
Epoxy doesn't evaporate when it overheats, it crystallizes.
All this... skip it to 8:11 and stop it at 8:26....
that's a conclusion, what are you stupid squid and don't need to hear an explanation why?
It's not all be behind us, just had the top of the line submits fail from over heating. A big dollar fail.

Anthony HT did ur parents buy u that bike?
Bart: mmhmm, right, yep x100. Not interested busy spinning my wheel.
I ended up watching it all the way through, waiting for it to turn into a ‘A Bit of Fry and Laurie’ sketch.
Envy is too heavy! Wait for Cadez this Sept 2019.
Cadex 65mm tubular wheelset is only 1367 grams.
Cadez 65mm Clincher wheelset is only 1501 grams.
This will change your life.
Highly informative video.
