Yeah. The fight was fun , as alwys between 2 major powerhouses, but the art was really bad, and also the cliche " i could tell you but i dont have time, so instead lets fight for 10 minutes"
Once again, only Spidey has the presence of mind to understand what is happening, not even Cap... Sometimes the Avengers are written in such a way as if everyone is stupid, so that we can have this fight between heavy hitters (while everyone is holding back). Also Beta Ray Bill and Gladiator could solo everyone here if they had the slightest intent to kill....
@@TheLegacy87 This sounds pretty difficult though, has it ever happened? Good luck making a guy like Superman doubt himself, you need Batman's level of "talk no jutsu". 😜
It’s always bugged me how often Marvel seems to write their characters to being ignorant to talk or talking things out, even when it’s in character for one to try and use words. There’s so much more to hero stories than action. These interactions influence people. It’s important that an example is set by these idols. Not to mention it’s clear they had some time to explain why they were leveling a town given when the *real* enemy revealed itself. Cool series of opening text, though. Great way to conclude it with ‘Avengers assemble’. It sets the tension, but did it deliver?
Thank you because I've grown annoyed with it for both Marvel and DC. At this point if you've worked with someone like a dozen times to save the Universe I'd at least want a basic summary of what your doing and why.
Agreed. This does seem like particularly lazy writing. It's not hard to come up with a plot device to explain a fight, but they seem to have gone for: stuff getting damaged, must be bad. Logan in particular saying that levelling a city means no explanation is needed- honestly that's kinda when I'd want an explanation most...
@@ancientking224 I’ve personally seen more instances of characters at least trying to talk things out *while* they’re fighting in DC stories, which in turn gives them more, er, character. In Marvel, the Avengers aren’t even willing to listen, certainly not here. Makes them less heroic and more like a battle squad. It’s especially bad for characters like Captain America, whose most defining trait is his integrity and the fact that his character is meant to embody what America stands for and it’s meant to be in a glimpse of its full potential. What’s more, it’s a ‘glimpse’ simply because Captain America is one man, albeit still a very respected one, who has taken on the ideals of what millions can or probably should be like.
I dislike how most of the Avengers are written here. The initial scuffle is somewhat justifiable, but Ben attacking Ronan *after* the new threat appears is not only unnecessary but imo also completely out of character. He is hot-headed, but deep down a good person and that just seems vindictive.
Well at least Spidey bothered to ask questions instead of just punching. With that said can someone give me context on why exactly their fighting and what they teamed up to fight against?
I notice that quite a number of folks are getting tired of the whole "Marvel heroes never talk to figure out anything before attacking everything" schtick.
They spent the entire fight not saying anything useful, but provide serious details when the real enemy breaks out and fights. It's a frustrating horror/action trope.
That was a great edit. The music and the chosen panels are on point, that's for sure. I don't know how I feel about the comic itself, though. To me it just feels like all of the characters are acting like a gaggle of 10 year olds on a school playground after a mass fight just broke out.

Well, to be fair when Ronan complained about the Kree-Skrull war he completely ignored his own fault in pulling the Avengers into that conflict when he attempted to force the de-evolution of Earth to remove humanity in order to claim the Earth as a strategic base. And the X-Men got involved in the Shiar's wars thanks to being attacked by Shiar Imperial Guard when Lilandra asked for asylum. Not their fault, the non-Earthers keep involving them in their fights.
