  • Hey guys!
    Follow me as I film my adventures through the waters of deep south New Zealand!
    》》》KAI DOWN UNDER《《《
    Gathering Kai, putting food on the table and sharing it with my friends, community and whanau, out there getting it done.
    Under water its a completely different world that not everybody experiences, when a diver enters the ocean he is no longer at the top of the food chain🦈
    I believe in sustainable harversting and taking what I need from the ocean.....not what I want, in saying that, what I need is usually what I want anyway which is just enough for a feed and I respect my catch from the habitat to the table, Kaimoana is a taonga for everybody and I love sharing!!
    In this episode things dont go to plan, but I end up carrying out a successful shore dive to get some Kaimoana in the belly
    Hope you enjoy my first video because there are many more to come
    Thanks
    Shan

      @@tanioraaura1274 yea bro, beauty in a raw fish too! I have never worn a 7mm wetsuit but I guess I might be just normalized to our conditions, we do get some good days here but hardly ever, there is massive currents that run all around this area, but there's some good sheltered bays I'm some of the islands

    Hey bro. I’m wondering if you fellas eat Kina any other way than straight from the urchin? I have recently discovered this epicurean delight. I love it straight from the ocean, eating it on the rocks, and also with some soy sauce and ginger ( my favourite) but is there some other way you fellas eat it? Please let me know

    • @kaidownunder7870
      @kaidownunder7870  2 роки тому +1

      Hey brother, yea niceee👌👌👌 straight from the shell is always good but I like to also make an omelette with plenty of butter and then dice up some Kina and fold it in at the end. Also Kinas on crumpets or toast is 🤯🤯🤯.
      Another good one is to make some rice balls and put a kina on top with some red onion and japenese mayo.
