Kyle, last June I decided to try your Beginners Jump Rope Workout and here's my update:
At first I couldn't jump for longer than 10 seconds with numerous trip ups.
No way was 15 seconds rest between sets enough.
Eight months later I still can't do seven 30 seconds jump sets but I'm able to do two 15 second sets, two 20 second sets, two 25 second sets and finish with one 30 second set. I need about one minute rest between sets.
    I've lost 25 pounds.
Off my acid reflux meds and hope to get off my blood pressure meds by the end of this year.
Can't do the boxer skip but would first like to complete the full Beginners Workout.
I'll be 75 this coming June so I guess you're never too old start.
Maybe someone else will read this, follow your advice and give it a try.
    Thanks for your motivation.

Mike, This is what an Everyday Athlete is! 75 and becoming better, love it! Congrats on the hard work you've been putting in!!!
I love how you took the initiative and did what you could with the workout to make it work for you and your current level🤘 that's how it's done.
Super proud of you for making the change and staying consistent. It's not an easy thing to do, but so worth it.
Can't wait to hear what you accomplish this year. Thanks for sharing and please update me again later.🤜💪

I went thru that as well when I started. It can take some time to build up endurance, but one tip for this - learning the boxer skip is big as it will really extend your jump time just by shifting weight from foot to foot.
That and throw in some high rep (20-25) calf raises.🤙 You will get there.

i am 17 and have a big belly and obese,
will starting to jump rope as cardio to loose weight will have any negative impact?

Shouldn't. Start slow at just 5-10 minutes with rests as needed and gradually build up. Nutrition is key. Start building healthy eating habits that you can maintain forever👍

@@Jump15official does the skipping speed or duration matter the most for most calories burn?
